Not sure if that first three post rule really applies but here goes my first.. Just purchased new Acura tl and have the following dimensions to work with for an 18 of these subs: Xcon FI q Fi btl n3, sq options Havoc 18 rl-p Firing towards hatch(20h x 32w x 32d) Firing towards trunk (16h x 32w x 40d) Can power with whatever amount needed, have some amps bsheeted ~1650, but can purchase new and probably will for SQ reasons. My plan is a smaller ported box tuned very low with plenty of port area that I can plug to make a large sealed with added blocks inside, possibly a horn or QW for competition in future. All boxes will be firing thru the rear middle hatch and sealed off…

just wondering what all people have heard about alumapro? has anyone used their subs in the past or present?

Once again, these reviews are bassed of mostly first hand experience Adire Shiva - One word for this driver would be "Tight". At the price of $125 for the 12", (the only size it comes in) this is an awsome sub that will make your ears tingle with joy if you like SQ and low tight bass. These work well in ported and sealed boxes, however they generaly like a little larger of a box then other subs that they compare to. There is no one given rms rating for it but anywhere from 150 watts to 500 watts is good, and yes 150 is enough to make this pound. right now i have a 15" TC Sounds LMS-5400. when i bought it i was looking for very clean and loud bass. the LMS-5400 is without a doubt the nicest sounding subwoofer i have ever heard, but now i want to go even louder. i don't really care if the subwoofer sounds increadibly clean and undistorted because i'm just looking for more output. I was looking at either the 18" TC Sounds TC5200 or the 18" FI BTL. What should i get?? any input would be appreciated!

I have been looking around for a front end system now that I have my sub almost ordered. I know I need tweeters and other types of speakers to get this done. What do you guys recommend? I know there's 6 speakers total inside the car. My main questions are: 1) What brand and style of speakers 2) Is there a website I can look at for what size my speakers are? I have goggled around for a day with no luck... 3) I am (going to) use the SAX-50.4 amp. Would I want to use something different? Well i got some good news and some bad news. Good news: My spl-15 came in today! Bad news: My spl-15 has a crack in the basket i have lots more but i'll quit with the pics mark ygpm btw its clearly shippers fault. and the basket seems to still be strong..

Ok, so I did some thinking, and I think I'm going to go with you guy's opinion and just do a big mid an a tweeter. Decided to do 4 kicker comp 10s in each door, along with super tweets. May be a stupid question but i've heard people talk against the 15" for whatever reason and I was curious what you all thought. I'm planning on purchasing a single sub, either the 12" or 15". Are there any major differences between the two besides power use and loudness, or any reason against getting the larger version that I should know of. Thanks in advance.

Been talking to Kevin from DIY Cable about the Anarchy mids and found out that he has a 4 ohm version designed. He has not been able to get enough orders to make a production run, but he is trying to give it a go. what cause pig tail wire in a sub to burn ?

I recently picked up a 2006 Pontiac GTO and it has a weak factory stereo. It comes factory with a 6.75" sub in the rear deck, but it is just terrible. I want to replace it with a nice 8" woofer that is still free air capable. I am not looking for something that will be just as loud as possible, I want something that sounds clean, since this is still my daily driver and I just want it to sound good. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks

whats the difference in sound, power handling and pretty much overall?..since their made by the same people it makes it hard for me to choose..i dont like the look of the new n2 so im leaning more toward the mayhem..and weight is not an issue..

After waiting a month and a half after placing my order I finally received my AA mayhem. I will be putting it on a soundqubed 750.1 because I dont plan on upgrading my electrical for a little while. I am currently running 2 aq sdc2.0 and they do slam for what they are. As for the box, It is in 2.5 cu tuned to 32hz with a 4" aeroport. Immediately I noticed the packaging is very well done, and I give huge props to SSA for that aspect. I will most likely give a review for the mayhem once I get my box. Anyways here are some pics

I have a JBL 1200.1db amplifier and have been looking for subs to push with it. Should I get 1 12" FI Q sub? if so, any advice where I could look to get the best deal on one? or two....wouldn't think the amp could push two....

I am looking for Experienced suggestions and/or advice. I currently have a Kicker L7 15 but I want to upgrade to a louder Subwoofer but with good Sound Quality. I would like to upgrade to 1(one) 2,200+ RMS sub, but the most important for me is SQ (sound quality). I mostly listen to hispanic music (in case this helps). So i just got my Zcon 18 installed in my 6.7 cu. ft. Net Box. it is tuned at 34hz with 112 sq in port. Currently its running off US Amps MD1 (1200rms) and gets pretty **** loud. This is a Great sub, well built and very good looking. not quite as good sq as my Stereo Integrity Mag V3 but its close. (that could also be due to the higher tuning as the mag was in a 28hz box.) Im wondering, would it be worth it to double the power to 2400watts? for a daily application would it really be much louder? the sub already moves pretty good as is. So I'm looking for sub. Nothing huge, a 10" would most likely be best. I would prefer a small footprint, so I was looking at some of the slimmers subs out there. Kickers, JL, etc. What is the deal with slim subs? Do they perform as well as their deeper counterparts? Any benefits to them other than the small boxes needed? ANd on the topic of boxes, I read how you needed a proper box to make the sub sing, but I am curious. 1) how do you determine port length? 2) pro/con of doing a bended port? 3) the box can easily be too small, but can a box be too big? Just some questions while I am learning everything.

ok this is a pretty newbie question. if i have 2 12s in a ported box and the recommended enclosure for one is 2cu ft after displacement, would i still only need 2cu ft after the displacement of both subs or another 2cu ft making the total 4?

I've been looking for some 8s that have a very shallow mounting depth, to use in my doors to get some good midbass. So far all I've come up with are the JL TW5, and they're 13 inch. I'd really like to find something closer to 8 inch. I know that I could use deeper ones and glass the doors out, but then I think I would always be rubbing on them with my leg while driving. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate them.

I’m looking at fitting 2 15s in my back seat. Does anyone have any experience with the hdc4 and the ssa zcon. Trying to figure which will want more or less box size. Heading towards the less side for overall fitment purposes. Can’t decide between the 2 subs. Price is close to them just not sure what to go with. I’ve only owned a sundown x15 and 18. So don’t have to much to compare to. Also will be playing hip/hop music as a daily. With a soundqubed 3500 and adding another later down the road.
