12" zcon D2 for my jeep liberty!

I'm looking to get either a Fi SSD 15, or an SSA Icon 15... Which ever one I get will be in a ported enclosure, tuned to ~30hz. What are the pros/cons for each of these subs, and how do they differ? Thanks in advance for the help.

I have a 2004 tahoe and I am going to change my sub stage. My electrical consists of a 300 amp alt., 4 deka intimidators group 31 in the back, and a intimidator group 34 up front, big three, and two runs of 0 gauge. I want to spend around two grand and my goals are a nice, somewhat "musical" sounding daily driver with a lot of output. I am hoping to hit 150+ at 30 Hz eventually. But if tuning needs to be a bit higher that is fine with me, preferably around 32-33 Hz. I guess that would make me save my goal for another day, but ultimately something above 150 is what I want. When I originally heard the IB3 18's Xmech was "shortly after its 30mm Xmax" I assumed maybe it was 31mm-33mm. So when I heard the IB3 22 was going to have a 38mm Xmax and 96% of the Vd of two IB3 18's, I thought the 22" was going to have a lot more Mechanical clearance than the 18's. But the 22's are going to have the same profile surrounds as the 18's, so the same or similar 41mm - 42mm Xmech. I'm not going to be able to replace my 18's with the 22's. At 8 ohms I already have to be careful to avoid over excursion. I planned on running 8 ohms for the 18's for safety, but 4 ohms for the 22's. The 22" isn't going to work. Looking 2 18's zcon or xcon for an Chevy Avalanche. Will be powering by a mojo 4 with upgrade alt, two kinetic 1400 for now. Looking more for sq right now, in at least 13-14 cubes after displacement (slot port). The zcon's do have a lower a qts, xmax, and bl compared to xcon. But spl is slightly higher on the zcon. whats up everybody im thinking about buying a 1990 impala to play around with and i was told that i would only have room for four 12' or two 15's. i really dont have a set budget yet but i dont want to pay a fortune for the subs and amp(s) any suggestions? heres a picture of what i will have to work with

I am just curious what people use directly behind the mid in their doors. Anything other then extra layers of sound deadener?

what are you guys opinions on the RE XXX line of subs? are they worth the money or overrated? also, whats the smallest vented enclosure one of those XXX 15" subs can fit in tuned for 30 hz? what type of power is needed to push one?

Ok just wondering some opinions on whats a good 10 inch sub woofer has to be round the box is fiberglass and already built I listen to mostly rap the box is about 2 cubic feet with 2 3inch areos in it tuned to about 36 in the back of a hatchback im looking for something beefy amp will be selected after i choose my sub.

what size and tuned to what frequency. want lots of bass but sound good as well also how much power should i give them to make them perform but not ware them out too quick? thanks

So Jake and I rigged my sis's ~1.4 ft^3 enclosure and Hifonics Z600 amp up in my car with the BM 12" in it tonight. The amp was something totally different, the sub was positioned different, the box was different, etc - so NOTHING was the same as what I'm used to. That, and my Eclipse's voltage output shocked the piss out of her Z600 - I had to turn the gain down ALL THE WAY and then turn the output down on my HU also. Haha. Anyway, once I got it somewhat dialed in Jake and I began really listening to it. i couldnt take it no more guys! i was dying from the inside out because i was missing my favorite hobby of all. while i was half waisted last night (not trying to brag) i got to watching all my old videos of the hccas and zcons... so i got on craigslist this morning and hit a dude up. i ended up trading the 3 OS vfl 10s i had and $50 for 2 kicker l5 12s in a box. now before everyone starts in on the whole kicker thing, i dont have enough $ to get some nice sundown or ssa stuff.. the l5s are just a start. i have like $120 in them so i dont think thats bad at all... so glad to be back in the game!! And they are MINT condition...

well, i really really want two mj 18's in my trunk but the current box didnt fit! please help me out with a box design. the current dimensions for the box are 38 1/2 inch's wide, 24 3/4 deep, 24 1/4 tall. i just measured again and this is what i came up with...42 inch's wide max, 22 inch's tall max, and 21 inch's deep. please can anyone help me out. this is for my birthday presents which im going to be getting in two weeks. ssa i will be contacting you for two mj 18's really soon! btw i want the box to be ported...i dont care if its slot or aero. leaning more towards an spl box. thanks in advance

A while back I bought a cheap budget system used off one of my buddies friends for $150 bucks. It was an 12" Orion sub, Alpine amp, and a Obcon box. Sounds pretty good and hit fairly hard. So when I bought it, the seller stated it was a 200 watt rms sub running off the amp @ 2 ohms which produces 300 watts rms. He didn't know the model of the sub just the specs the local audio shop told him when he bought the package. Well I am in the process of installing 2 ssd 12" and a 1600 watt amp. I have these mystery 15" subwoofers, I need some help finding out who makes them and what they're rated. The way they are installed atm in this guys tahoe would make it a real pain to take them out and check the back, so hopefully this is the easiest solution. The dust caps say five star champion series, Anytime I try to search the internets for them I get 5star ratings on subs and pioneer champion series.

I was planing to build a box that's about 1.50 cubic feet tuned to 36hz that's all I have room for. But I don't know which sub I should get Sa-12 Sa-10 E12v2. My amp should do around 750rms clean. This is for a ext cab truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have two Fi SSD 15's being powered by an Audioque 2200d. The output and accuracy of these speakers is amazing, but I feel it is time for a new system to toy with, so they will be going up for sale soon. Also, the box that they are in is slightly too large for my vehicle, so the configuration had to be sub up, port up. I am looking to do four 12's in about 6 ft^3 with a sub up, port back configuration. The only concern I have is losing the low notes. I absolutely love them and play a lot of slowed or chopped and screwed music. The 15's are tuned to 30hz and that is probably where the 12's will be tuned to. ok...here's my dilemna: i have (2) 12" premier 2000spl's, running off a hifonics bx1500d ("1500"x1@1ohm) in a 90 camaro, and they're currently running in a sealed box, because it's just begining to get warm here in the okla. i have decided what i want to do (box wise) and they are as follows.... 1. i want the box to sit on the flat part behind my back seats and under my hatch glass..... 2. i need AT LEAST 3.5 cubes for the 2 subs (total, 1.75 apiece) 3. i want at least 60^2 of port area.... 4. i would like to retain my back seats<----u no what im sayin? now here's where it sucks: i can't get enough box volume, with that much port area (and it hangs over onto the bac…

I've got a 15 passenger van and am looking to install a low budget system (anything is an upgrade to the 2 front door speakers I have currently) I have a pair of 6 x 9 speakers at each row of seats in enclosures and the 6x 9's in the front doors for a total of 10 speakers. I also have a powered bazooka sub I want to use in the rear. I have a 4 or 5 year old Pioneer Premier head unit that I plan to connect to. Hey guys, just bought a double decker pontoon boat and want to throw some Loudspeakers up top for some island parties and raft ups I hit during the summer. I'm shooting for extremely loud and bass heavy (seems to be what most people like) and have a budget of $1k for the setup. I was planning on getting two JBL Eon 15's based off my DJ friend's recommendation but I figured I'd ask here as well. I plan to power the setup with a Honda EU2000i genny (not yet purchased) or perhaps the Ryobi 2000. hi guys, first posting on the forums, Im planning an install for my single cab truck with 2 10s and was considering the e10s from sundown or the incriminator audio i series and i wanna know which sub is the better option?

I thought about painting the basket on my subwoofer. I wonder would preventing the paint to get through the vent windows on the bottom of the basket be a issue when painting the basket of a speaker that is still working. I figured i ask before i try and if it would be bad i would just paint the basket on the avalanche i need to recone.
