I'm number crunching and having issues with depth. I know spacers is the "duh" option. Mids can't be inverted/wired out of phase right? All the sound would go into the door then huh? Why does it work for subs but not higher freqs? I'm havin a dumbass attack and need someone to explain this to me lol

I can't decide which one would be a better choice. The BLs are supposed to be louder but the Icons have better lows. Decisions, decisions...

Im looking for a set of components for my Nissan maxima. I have an alpine two channel that does 100rms at 4 ohms. Budget is 120. I'm looking for more SQ/""SQL"". Something with decent midbass and not harsh tweeters. These will be paired with a Dcon 12 sub. I listen to mostly rock and indie but some rap also. Right now I'm tied between image dynamics CTX or the Incriminator audio I series. If you have heard either please post. Which would you choose. Can you think of other options as well? There is very little info on both and from the little info there is it was all good. I can't decide.

I'm looking at the Rockford Fosgate Power T1652-S for front and Rockford Fosgate Power T1692 for rear. However, I'm a bit scared of the aluminum tweeter. I've had bad experiences in the past with non-silk tweeters (Kappa). I liked the sound from my CDT CL-62's with TW-25S silk dome tweeter. The Kappa's would literally give me a headache and make my ears ring. While TWO sets of the CDT's I could listen to full tilt all day with no side-effects. All properly amped. Another option for me would be the Image Dynamics CTX-6.5cs. But don't know if they are too deep (mounting) for my 2005 Civic doors even with spacers. i currently have 3 JL 10w0's and i need a change lol. I have a 600 rms amp at 2 ohms. I wanna get a louder system but still keep my same amp. I can't decide between a 12" RE SE or 2 12" Alpine R's. I found great deals on both so the price isn't a problem. I am also going to be building a ported box for the one i choose. Any Suggestions? Thanks.

what does that mean? and how do i fix it?

okay ive got a mag 15 in a 2.2 cuft box sealed. id prefer bigger but its what i already had. the box is almost square but the front and back are definetly parallel. now ive got a JL 1000/1 on it... and its not very loud. i dont blame it at all on the sub. i know its capable of pain.... but i dont see how it could be the amplifiers fault. i tuned it to 64V with a true rms dmm. at 4 ohms thats appx 1030w rms or something. plenty of power for a mag to scream. when i get my ported box built and if i still think its not loud enough im going to try to hook up my friends eDnine.1 to it and see if thats a problem. but for ported boxes parallel baffle and back is perfectly fine ri…

I recently read that if you were to have 2 speakers play the same frequency that they will cancel and would be about the same loudness if I were to play a single speaker. I have 2 sets of components in my front and am wondering if they would sound just as loud with a single set? People add more subwoofers and they get louder so I just don't understand why it makes a differnece.

i cant decide between 2 sa-15's or a single z v.3 18. what would be the pros and cons of these 2 setups? which would be louder and which clearer? i mainly listen to dubstep, rap, and reggae.

I know from the two subs that their unstoppable but, i cannot really decide. I've been a huuge fan of Fi car audio and has been my favorite for years now untill i ran into ssa audio. The two are almost the same to me. I dont really know the difference between the two of them. Their both the same price and can take about the same amount of watts rms rated. Both have 1 ohm DVC. If there is anyone out there that has heard from these two subwoofers please help me. Is one for SQ and the other for SPL or something? Ok guys here's my situation I'm debatign between 2 12's or 2 15's D2's I have plenty of space and power and this is going in my 05 ext cab silverado which would you pick ? 2 12's or 2 15's My power on tap is a orion 2500D and i have about 10 cubes to toy with.

I'm looking at getting back in to car audio scene again. I haven't been up to date with it. So I have all my stuff picked out and i'm not sure what comps I wanna go with. They will be powered by a Sundown SAX125.2 or my Kicker ZX350.2. I currently have the Kicker. But id rather keep the amps to the same brand, as my sub amps will be the Sundown SAZ-1500D. For the price of the comps $400, but if they are worth it $500 MAX. They must be a 6.5in comp set.

I'm looking to get a nice build going for my '02 GMC Envoy. I just replace the junk factory radio today with a Pioneer AVH-P8400BH and also decided to pick up a ND-BC5 back up camera. Now its time to get the sub-stage rolling. Currently my truck runs on a stock 150amp alt which will need a upgrade. So I am limited to a single h/o alt for this build due to no room under the hood. I'm leaning towards a dc 270amp alt. With this alt and a power cell or 2 will I have trouble keeping up the demand of a Crecendo BC3500 with possibly 500-1k watts to spare for my front stage? I want to pick up a pair of SSA XCONS for this amp but I'm having trouble on deciding to go with 2-12's or…

My cousin is telling me of some subs he is trying to get rid of. He dosent have any pictures of them but all he says is that they are competition subs and they have a red C on the cone. Now whether or not they are competition is totally speculation. But I just wanted to know which sub company uses a red "C" for their logo on subs? Thanks in advance ~MadroX

Ok so i recently purchased a box caprice station wagon and I want to put a lot of subs in the back a demolish my opponents! So what do yall think I should put together? Budget is $2,000 for subs and $3000 for amp(s). I listen to alot of chopped and screwed rap music and like to crank it to the max and really slam, sq is really not an issue i just want it to sound sort of clean when im not killing my opponents and just straight cruisin.

Im getting a new vehicle as soon as mine dies which is going to be in a couple of months im upgradeing the system as well with the nw purchase so with that said I need suggestsions on cars that 2x 15" SI D2's will fit in.
