here we are again with more doubts in my mind about the amp I have in my single cab truck with the subs I want. Ive gottin it down to where Im torn between the Fi X 10's series and the Fi SSD 10's series. The X series is signifacntly cheaper but only has the BP power option on it, whereas the SSD has alot more capable. my budget is at $400 and I am getting a custom ported box designed accordingly that fit 2 10's. (yes I am possitive I can get enough proper cubic volume to match either of these subs behind my seat.) If I chose the SSD's, getting all of the available options to maximize its ability, it is out of my $400 range. so thats my predicament, get the BP power…

well i am planning on building 6 of these, i have all parts on hand, so i decided to build one, and measure it before i proceed. they will be tc2+ motors, with 6" spiders, a reproduction of the original tc1000 coil, sa8 cones, and baskets. the leads were stitched by me. the first parameters were with the coils paralleled R(e) = 1.005 ohms Fs = 38.36 hz Qts = .356 Qes = .376 Qms = 6.706 Le = .732mh mms = 112.6grams vas = .1479cu. ft. spl = 79.88 these were in series Re = 3.95 fs = 37.68hz Qts = .331 Qes = .351 Qms = 5.882 Le = 2.874mh Mms = 121.5 grams Vas = .1422cu. ft. in case any of you are used too see vas in liters those are both just a tad under 4liters. now i …

Hey guys! Haven't posted on here in a pretty long time. Still have all my equipment but my mb quart 6.5s mids blew so I figure guess its time to get some new ones. I have the components hooked up to a pretty ok orion 2 channel amp. Here are the two I'm curious about.... http://www.audiosavings.com/products/Car-Audio-And-Video/NEW-RE-AUDIO-RE6.5C-6.5-COMPONENT-CAR-SPEAKERS-6-1-2/RE6.5C.aspx And these http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Incriminator-Audio-I-Series-6.5%22-Components.html Lemme know if you need more info! Tell me what you think of these two. Just want some decent speakers back in the truck. Thanks guys!

As of right now I have 2 dd1508s on a MB quart discus 1.5k. I'm looking to get rid of my 8s and upgrade to a single 15. Power output of my amp I'd 4ohm=375 2ohm=750 and 1ohm=1500. I have plenty of space to work with (olds bravada(blazer)). 2 agm deep cycles, and a 200a alt. Depending whether I sell them or trade them I was seeing what people would recommend on my power supply that is reasonable. Like I said I might not buy new if I can get a decent trade for them. Any ideas? (I know daily or spl will be asked and it needs to be all around. This is a daily driver but I do meca on weekends.)

I'm running my 2 12 Dcons to one ohm on a Audiopipe 15001D. Me and my friend were setting the gain up on the amp and one speaker would have a slight hum to it.. You would have to put your ear right up to it to hear it though. The other sounded fine. I'm wondering exactly what it might be. What exactly should I listen for when setting my gain?? I don't want to blow my speakers, so I'm wondering exactly what to listen for. Thanks guys!

I am planning on running 2 SA-8s in my mustang install (not sure if theyll be v1 or v2 yet) and I have a few enclosure questions and need a little help. Im wanting to run them in slot ported enclosures BUT they will not fire into the trunk the will fire into a space that is sealed off from the trunk but ported through the rear deck. My questions are; 1) Whats the smallest box youd reccomend for them to perform great in a daily app and still do good in a burp situation. 2) Anybody have a box design program that will map out the whole design (dimensions and all) ? They would like to use to give me a box idea.

I've got a 15 passenger van and am looking to install a low budget system (anything is an upgrade to the 2 front door speakers I have currently) I have a pair of 6 x 9 speakers at each row of seats in enclosures and the 6x 9's in the front doors for a total of 10 speakers. I also have a powered bazooka sub I want to use in the rear. I have a 4 or 5 year old Pioneer Premier head unit that I plan to connect to. I would like to add a 4 channel amp to give the 6 x 9's a bit more power and have the following questions I'm hoping someone can help me with: 1. Would 1 four channel amp be enough and how many watts would it need to be? Could I get away with a 300W amp or would I …

So I an installing four I hope anyways E8's but magnet diameter and true mounting depth matter. I am putting these under the rear seat of a 2011 Titan king cab and am in the process of building the box the max. At this point I am actually settling on the E series due to the fact that the SA r so damn big. Now if these subs magnets are in fact to large what would be a viable 8 to use in the truck. Power wise right now is a Lil wonder 3 that says it makes 2600 at 1 ohm. But, I might also be looking at other options for amplification. As of right now the box has a total volume of 2.51 FT^3 and I will accommadate port size to tune to what ever sub I get. Many thanks in…

Just as the Topic title states. I have been getting MIXED Responses on whether "Breaking In" your Subs is necessary. What do you think about that or do you not do it at all. I have always "Broke In" my subs, but I have a Comp coming up in the next week or Couple of weeks from now. My subs are pretty much stiff, as I have just installed them today. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your Input on this matter.

So here's the lowdown, I have a 93 Subaru legacy sedan and I'm looking for a sub and an amp.About 70% of what i listen to is metal, and the other 30% is mostly dubstep with a bit of rap thrown in on the rare occasion.Basically i want something that will sound good with the double bass and fast bass lines in metal, but still have some thump for dubstep.Looking to keep it under $400 for both.I've been seriously considering a dcon 12,but i saw a vendor selling an open box sa-12 in the classifieds.I'd like some good sq but in not an audiophile, if it will sound good with music I'd be more than happy.
