right now i have a jl e6450 amp http://www.carsound.com/articles/publish/article_268.shtml and im getting these type 4 components http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/p...ng=en&tab=F the amp does 70 watts at 4 ohms and 110 watts at 2 ohms my question is can u wire components to get the 2 ohm load? cause the alpine type r components are 4 ohm and i dont want them getting 70 watts when they can be getting the 110

I have a Cerwin Vega Vmax 12" and am looking to build a ported box for it, but cannot find the specs! Anyone know of the specs and/or tune it to? It is the newest model, hard to find on the web. All black cone with Red Lettering, not the silver model. Thanks for any help at all!

Installed 2 of my 3 lvl2 10's today , on 800rms. my last setup was a single typeR and the one before that was 2 rf t112d4's, all i can say is wow better than both by far..Ran them for an hour they barely got warm Point of story u make a great sub , What ever u doing keeping doing it cause you're doing it right! Next setup def gonna be some lvl4's.

I received 4 of these just before Christmas. I have been playing with enclosure volumes and let me tell you these speakers sound great!! I currenty have each of them in .0198 ft3 and they are working great! If anybody has any doubt about these drivers for the money, I don't think there is anything better out there (just my opinion). :clap:

My buddy has 2cubes available in the back/trunk of an old school vette. What would give him the best overall sound out of 4 re rex10's, 2 pg rsdc12's, or a jl audio, or re se 15? All sealed off of an audioque1200.1? He listens to alot of spanish and a lil bit of rap. Big three upgraded and a decent battery under the hood lol I figured it would be the 12's bcuz the 10 wouldn't be able to get low do to the amount of air space, .5 cubes is recommended. And the 12's have more surface area than the 15. Thanks for any advice. budget is around $200 And I guess a ia 187 12's or a 15??

I've got two 10" kicker L5s in my extended cab ranger right now, running off an SAE-1000D amp and it's not loud enough for me. I prefer something that sounds good, and I don't compete so I need a sub for a daily driver. Trying to stay around $250 per sub, I was looking at the Elemental Designs 16Ov2, SSA Icon, Mach5 IXL or possibly the AA Arsenal. Both the eD and the IXL stand out to me, I've heard some favorable things about them. I aim to buy one now and run it ported off around 1000W RMS, and add a second later when I get another SAE-1000D strapped (1800W). What would you recommend I get and why? Ok, so ive been pondering this for a while now. I want "HOLY SHIT TURN THAT DOWN BEFORE I DIE, I CANT BREATHE ITS SOOOO LOUD!!!!" kind of subs. So, i deciding between the Audioque HDC312's or the Fi BL 12's I want this reaction coming from my high school classmates who think there Dual 12" prefab piece of shits are loud Both will be powered accordingly by Sundown or Audioque and box will be built to specifications. Other Subs are welcome Not going over $300 for a 12 This is in a trailblazer

So i was thinking of 2 15's fi bl but it seems i will not be able to build the proper box. Don't want to spend money on good subs just for the box to be crap. So i was thinking of 12's. What do i suffer from by getting 2 12's?

Ok guys here is the deal. I am putting together a system for a buddy with a budget of $800 for sub, amp and seperates. Details: 2004 Hyundai Sonata Source- Alpine INA-W910 4- Channel- Diamond D3 500.4 He WANTS rear 6x9's and 6.5" components for the front. I narrowed it down to: Rockford T1693 & T1652-S or Alpine SPR69 & SPR60C Now, for the sub. He is going to buy a Diamond HEX750.1 (1 ohm stable). My debate is going with either 2 12" DCONS ported or 1 12" GCON ported. Space is not an issue and I will be building a box to suit the needs of the sub. Any reccomendations on the sub choice or components???

in your (non biased) opinion, which sub would you say, in there optimal enslure w/at least rms power running to them, would sound better/be louder? a few guys on CA.com i was talking to said that i should get the HDC's over the BL's and that they are louder. he said the HDC's are more comparable to the BTL's....of course i have my doubts but i want to know what you guys think thanks

Hey guys, I am looking to get some more tweeters, I want a brighter sound than what I am getting now, I would also like to get some that are very smooth. I wanna test both sides of the spectrum. Could someone give me some decend ?brands?? to look into... I also want to replace the 5x7 that are in the rear door and put some 6x9's on the rear deck, Or perhaps 6x9's in the door and some 8" in the rear deck... So after some talking here on the forum, I have a Orion 2500D on the way. I was thinking of putting 2 FiAudio 18" Q's in a Jeep cherokee, box would net about 12.5 total cubes, so a little over 6 cubes per 18". Say goodbye to cargo space.... However I have seen some comparision of this brand vs. that brand... and am at a loss. The TC-sound subs look good, some say(on ROE forum) better than Fi-Q in SQ & SPL, due to higher BL. Yet I have not found many spl test on them, but wouldn't doubt it being possible. The Massive audio WC sub looks decent too, putting up 145.8 for one 12" sub on the TL, on the ROE vids... very impressive, looks kinda cheap though...? Anyways just…

I'm looking to upgrade my speaker system. For the front stage I'm getting the Rockford fosgate 6.5" t1 series component speakers and powering them about 100 rms to each side. For the rear stage I would like to run two sets of coaxials (cone area ftw) I'm thinking the Rockford fosgate p1 series coaxials. But idk which would be better, 6.5's or 6x9's They'd be right beside each other along my side panels in the backseat (yes some modifications will be done) and I'd run a set per channel because they are 40-50rms each so one set is around 100rms. I have talked to a tech about this and want to know what i should do... I only have 1 sundown 100.4 to work with so there's my power source. I have 2 Image Dynamic CXS65s that are 100wrms components. I also have 2 Image Dynamic CX62s that are 150wrms @2ohm. They are wired to the sundown. I need more midrange... The tweeter level is bout right but i need more midrange, a lot more. CDT said i might wanna try out their new CenterStage kit which consists of 2 2" midrange tweeters mounted on the dash that drastically increases midrange.
