Okay I am offering $10.00Cad to the first person to make me blueprints for 3 MAW10's in a ported enclosure.. they can be sperate chamber or all in the same chamber as long as the box is tuned to 29-30HZ. My trunk is: H-14.5" W-36" D-12" , The specs for the 3 10's show 1cuft per sub ported to 29HZ. I can't seem to do this for some reason so any 1 person that can draw up a blueprint will get the $10.00Cad.. PS- Port need to be in the front baffle of the enclosure, if all 36 inches are used... Thank you Justin

I know from the two subs that their unstoppable but, i cannot really decide. I've been a huuge fan of Fi car audio and has been my favorite for years now untill i ran into ssa audio. The two are almost the same to me. I dont really know the difference between the two of them. Their both the same price and can take about the same amount of watts rms rated. Both have 1 ohm DVC. If there is anyone out there that has heard from these two subwoofers please help me. Is one for SQ and the other for SPL or something? I want something that can take a enormous amount of power and can take a lot of excursion. I wanted something that has a huge amount of kick and can be heard outside…

Well, I finished my sono tube, now its on to another more challenging fiberglass build. This time around I'm going with two 10's and I am giving my self a budget of $250 for subs, and $250-300 for an amp. I'm looking for a pair of subs that will give me great spl, with some sq as well. I listen to a variety of music from rap, hiphop, to rock, country, and even jazz etc. They will be ported, and I'm thinking roughly around 1cft each sub (not decided yet). I would like them to be pretty efficient too. I'm not interested in the walmart variety... nor competition worthy subs. Just plenty to satisfy me on a daliy basis, yet when I would like to impress a friend or two, ma…

Looks like this new awesome sub will actually be going into my girlfriends alero. The goal that I am trying to acomplish is to make everything hiddin from the trunk view. So the sub will fire into the cabin, as well as the port. I would like to seal the box from the trunk, and match the fabric from inside the trunk so you can't tell that she has anything in there. I want this sub to get reallllly loud, it needs to sound pretty good too.. but loud is good I am pretty good at building things... i have built a few sealed boxes that worked really well, but i have yet to experiment with a ported enclouser. The hifonics 1000D seems like the amp i am leaning towards, but i ha…

  10. I had a pair of infinity reference 12's I picked up for $50 about six months ago. The guy from the local car audio shop wanted to trade me for his old school 15 inch Cerwin Vega Stroker. I've owned one of these in the past and could never get over how freakin loud they get with so little power.

  13. if your current set up was giving you around 600 watts per sub into a sub with 1000 watts rms handling, but for $550 you could upgrade to a different amp that would put around 844 watts into that same sub would you spend the extra cash to do it? i mean can one even tell the difference by listening to a sub with either power going to them? not sure if it matters but the system consist of 3 18's..im looking for opinions to see if its worth me spending the $550 and only adding about 200 watts per sub if even that..

Hey guys it's my first post here. I'm trying to "upgrade" from 2 IDQ 12 v3's in a sealed box. Basically I'm changing my setup to 1 12 instead of 2 because I can't fit a ported box for 2 12's in my trunk and the output of them sealed isn't cutting it for me so trying to find a single sub solution. The sub would be powered off a SAX-1200D and my budget is whatever I can sell the 2 IDQ's for hopefully in the $300-400 range. I pretty much narrowed it down to the SSA ICON and the Fi Q. Any comments on which sub will get louder off 1200 watts, dig deeper, and take a daily beating. Any other suggestions would be appreciated

right now i have a 15" TC Sounds LMS-5400. when i bought it i was looking for very clean and loud bass. the LMS-5400 is without a doubt the nicest sounding subwoofer i have ever heard, but now i want to go even louder. i don't really care if the subwoofer sounds increadibly clean and undistorted because i'm just looking for more output. I was looking at either the 18" TC Sounds TC5200 or the 18" FI BTL. What should i get?? any input would be appreciated!

  16. Yeah, I'm so happy right now, NOT! Anyway, I'm in my car with the beats going pretty good and all of a sudden the bass cuts out. I pop the trunk and run back to see WTF. My amp is on, it's not in protect, voltage is good, I'm f**kin clueless. Then as I'm about to stab the f**ckin sub it turns back on. Again, WTF. Then it doesn't exactly cut out but it plays at like 25% volume for a little while then comes back on then goes back to 25% vol. I go to the head unit, turn the volume down and after a while it seems to play normal. I wait and eventually turn the volume up again and presto! The mindf**ck starts all over again. Can a sub blow with no signs of it getting …

Well don't know if you guys remember or not but I was going to do a comparison between the D2 15" and the xxx 15" so I bought both, the RE 15" is coming and I haven't heard it yet so I don't want to cancel my order cause I want a chance to hear it first, if I like the RE sub I'll keep it, if not I'll buy another D2. My nitrous setup is going to cost a little more than I spected so the wife made me compromise Its in mint condition. Just bought it last week. maybe has 2-3 hours on it. I'm selling it for the same price as nick sells them. If I don't get the money oh well i'll just keep it I guess cause its worth no less. Since they will not be available for a few month…

Ive been looking to upgrade my system for a while to something louder and cleaner and have been looking mainly at JLs. I recently found W6W12s on sale on sonicelectronix for around $400. From what I read these are the subs I'm looking for but I still have a few questions. Right now I'm running a 15" Eclipse titanium in a ported box on a Hifonics Zeus 1200 watt amplifier in a 2001 Expedition. Would 2 W6s be louder than this? I'm looking for something that will really hit hard, like a lot harder than the eclipse. Will the amp I have work for two of these subs? Also would I be better off going for 1 W7? Lastly, would it be necessary to make improvements to the wiring setup I…

Ok so now that I'm starting over I need to starting planning. Trying to have great output, great SQ, and minimal space used. I have a Sundown 1500 watt amp and am planning on using that. Not exactly looking for the end-all setup but just basically looking for pros & cons for 2 8s vs. 1 10 and what subs would fit this criteria. OH! And my music preferences are all over: I'll be listening to so bass heavy songs one day then I'll be listening to some 70s bands the next day. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated!
