Subwoofers / Speakers

What are your guys' favorite places to get your speakers online? or what do you have that people should stay away from?

Which do you feel would be best? I have a Crescendo BC3500D to power it.

Alright guys, I finally got my build up and running (its in the build log section if you need to see it) and I am asking myself if I need more power. Currently I am running an AB1100.1, and during testing had it wired up but scored a 150.2. After wiring it down for peak power from the amp it scored a 154.2. Te reason I ask this is because these subs seem to be laughing at that amp.. I mean I know they are underrated at 2250 RMS but they literally only move 3/4 of an inch at most (20-30hz) and get stupid loud in that box. I am looking to add more batteries, maybe another alt, and maybe gonna add another AB1100.1. I am just worried that the 3" coil wont be able to han…

can or could a skar 12" sub handle bouts 700-800 watts ??? i wanna buy a pair i no everyone says a sundown 12 will but not much on skar subs , im running a kicker1500.1 amp

I'm trying to decide between a 15" SSA XCON or a Fi BL 15"... My goals are just SPL. SQ isn't a big enough concern to alter my decision. I will be running it in the trunk of a Grand Am in a 4^3ft(ish) ported box at 32 hz, off a memphis 16-st1000d for now at 1 ohm. I've got all my electrical ready.. Just trying to pick between these 2. I've never heard either one personally, so I'm looking for opinions on which would produce higher SPL in this situation. If you have any other opinions on a differen't subwoofer, I'm open for those as well. P.S. BUDGET - 400$

My subs chirp when my car is started but not when it is off but the head unit is on and i cannot figure out what it is. I checked the ground and that is good. Also, my power is good. Any ideas what it might be?

Ok putting two 10’s in a ported box subs and port are on same side of the box . Car is a hatchback Scion tC . What would be the best way to face the box?

So I'm starting my next system build that'll be going in a Toyota tundra crewmax. Im looking for some recommendations of sub woofers and amplifiers. im planning to do a 2 x 12'' setup for the boot of my 63 Ford Galaxie. My aim is for it to get loud but still sound good (im pretty sure sure this is referred to as ""SQL""?) Hey everybody im trying to decide what to upgrade to. The above listed subs are what im considering, I listen to mostly bass heavy music like dubstep, and swisha house or any other kind of screwed music. I plan on putting the new sub in a slot ported box not 100 on the tuning just yet the sub will have to be dual 4ohm and im going to be powering it with a R E Audio DTS-1500.1 which is rated at 700x1 at 2ohms. I just installed the ctx65cs component set running of an old Memphis amp. They are seeing 55rms and I am not happy with the sound. Tweeters sound muddy whenever the bass hits, and the mids are severely lacking. I've tried everything on the amps adjustments and every level position for the tweeters, -3, 0, +3. The only way they can sound good is with the gain turned down to where they can't keep up with my subwoofer. Before, I ran infinity reference 6x8s and they had more bass, clearer highs, kept up with the subwoofer, and sounded much better than these. And they were running off stock head unit power. Im looking at getting 2 SAZ-1500D and 1 SAZ-100.2 Thats enuf power for alot of setups. Is it too much for 2 SI mag 15? What is the max a 15 si mag d2 can handle?

Im running a Sound Stream Rubicon 1600d amp and I very recently (7hrs ago) ordered a single 15" Icon to run in a ported midgate Avalanche enclosure that I will soon be having built. Im second guessing myself because I now feel like the single Icon wont provide enough SPL. Im thinking about canceling for 2 Gcon 12s. So I have installed a set of Sundown-cs6.5 and running off a ppi 900.4 in my car and have found that the tweeters are almost too harsh. From what I have read this is a characteristic of this style. I have made adjustments to my current amplifier and have not found a way to help with this. Looking for advice on helping me tune these in. Or if there are other options some help in a direction it would be appreciated. very new to this i have just been tuning with my ear. I also understand everyone hears differently before M5 starts bashing me for this.

Well, I finished my sono tube, now its on to another more challenging fiberglass build. This time around I'm going with two 10's and I am giving my self a budget of $250 for subs, and $250-300 for an amp. I'm looking for a pair of subs that will give me great spl, with some sq as well. well i think ive finally made up my mind on the entire system, 2 12" Magnum D2's powered by (2) Rockford 1001BD Mono Amps. do you think thats too much power or just enough?

This thread will be the official thread for the new BM series prototypes. When I get back to the office tonight I will post up the T/S's for the 10" version. The 12" version is being built now, and I should have T/S's in a few days (along with the woofer hopefully). Ok, i've been wanting to build a ground pounder for awile now and i'm getting everything worked out before i start. I've gotten some help on box size and tuning (thank you mark) and now i need to figure out my box placement. Looks like the subs will be 4 mj-18's run off a power acoustik a3000db in an 18-20 cube box (depends on if i can fit 20) tuned between 30-35hz. Now i can build the box from behind the front seats back to the tailgate and fire the subs up, or i could build it from the tailgate to where the rear seat is at(it's gonna be out or folded) and fire the subs forward.
