Lately ive been considering upgrading the sub stage in my 1998 s10 extended cab truck. Currently I have a pre fabbed sealed downfire box. says its 1.75 cu ft per side (holds 2 12's). got 2 ppi subs in there powered by a older fosgate 1000.1bd. Not really liking the way it sounds sealed up. I know its a pre fab box and all but i love the output of a ported box. Love the lows. Of course if i could i would slap a btl or 2 in there but thats not realistic for me right now. Im on a budget. I will be building the box myself. And more than likely getting an audiopipe 1000 or 1500 amp. Current fosgate is screwy and i dont want to use it. When i look at the t/s specs of a sub to b…

Hey guys, A thought has hit me as I look through the forums, and I was wondering if anybody could give me their opinion on this matter. Ok, so why when somebody decides to focus on the "Front stage", do they only focus on the front two doors? I understand that the driver is up front, so maybe that is the primary reason for this. When I look at a install, I would see anywhere from two to eight door speakers but only in the front two doors. I don't understand why isn't it kept to the equal amount of speakers that are in the back two doors, or for cars, the back deck? To me, if I was to put 3 door speakers up front, I would put 3 door speakers in the back as well. I underst…

Wassup everyone??? Im in the process of getting two 12" SA-12's... I want to port them.... but dont want to take up the entire trunk in my car (Looking @ a 2011 Dodge Charger). Per the info I copied below ... it says I can go with 1-1.5 cubes per sub but I just have to tune higher. Can someone tell me what the optimal size would be 1.25 or smaller per sub and the port area and tuning frequency I listen almost exclusively to rap music... Please assist! Enclosure Suggestions: 1.75 ft^3 ported tuned to 30 Hz -- F3 of 26 Hz * Tune higher and use a smaller box for more SPL oriented setup (Use 1 - 1.5 cubes) * Enclosure can be as big as 2.25 ft^3 with lower power levels 1.00 ft…

Need to go behind backseat of 03 F250 Crew cab. ive got about 5.25 inches of mounting depth. im gonna put either 3 of the tw5's or Fosgate P3 shallows, or at least 4 of the SA8's. which sound will sound fuller and less hollow and weak. im used to always having at least 2-6 12's or multiple 15's or 18's. got a new truck and trying to downsize but get the best and most out of it

At the moment i have a Kicker l7 12" running on a saz-2000D and I'm thinking about upgrading. This Setup is in a 97 Ford taurus Wagon i have space about 40X21(possibly 34if i sacrifice the entire cargo area). My budget is about 250-400. I'm just looking for something to take full advantage of this amp Thanks for the help! EDIT: Suggestions on which way i should point the ports and box demensions and all are welcome too. I'll post pictures tomorrow to give you a better idea of what i have to work with. I mostly listen to hardcore with alot of lows during breakdowns and some rap too. Thanks again!

i currently am running a 15" fi bl on a saz-1000d in a ported box facing up in a trunk. i was looking into getting either a single 10 or 12 or maybe 2 10's to replace the 15 and still run the saz-1000d so i can face the subs toward the rear and free up some trunk space since my current box pretty much uses up the whole trunk in my grand prix. all sugestions are welcome i dont really have a set budget just want something matched with my amp and was wondering what you all feel might be the best fit.

ok so i've currently got a single RF power HX2 15 on a saz1500. problem #1 its got a blown coil, problem #2 its currently in a sealed box im pretty sure is to damn small. the reason for the small sealed is i had to work with the wood i had layin around to make it fit so i could use my back seat. previous box was 4ft^3 ported tuned at 33hz. now im almost certain i dont have room back there for 4 cubes ported if i reconed the sub with upgraded coil and suspension. so im asking you guys for suggestions on a setup that will get loud, low, and move some air while sounding good in the cargo area of the 93 mustang. still plan on using the saz1500. been looking at and liking the …

Hey all, Im trying to decide what I want to do for my summer sub setup. It will be going in a 1998 Acura 3.5RL, trunk system with about 4ft.^3 after displacement. I will be using around 3500 watts for either setup and dont plan on more power (not looking for number really but that would be nice). Im looking for more of a daily ground pounder with a great low end response that can be brutal when I turn it up. For tuning im planning on 31hz, I listen to mostly chopped and screwed music/r&b/old school and rap. Here are the options, any more questions just ask. Sub Options: 3-10" Fi Q's 2-12" SSA Xcons or DD 3512s 15" AA Mayhem *Electrical will be a DC Power H/O Alternato…

Hello all, I have to say that Fi car audio has really caught my eye.. first off I will say Hi and that my name is Tyler. With that said here is my question. I have been looking at the FI SSD 15 and I'm not sure about what ohm and stuff to get on the sub with the amp I have. I currently have a Crossfire VR602 and I need some help with picking the options on the sub ( such as Ohm: FlatwindCoil: BP Power: ). Im sure i dont need flatwindcoil or bp power as they just seem to be upgrade options.. so basically all i need to know is what ohm I should get on the sub dual 1 or dual 2.. and im sure the amp will be underpowering the sub but should it sound ok bridged?

Alright guys, I'm about to get a whole lot of xmas money with it being my last xmas at home (senior in high school) so I want a really nice front stage. They will be getting no less than 125wrms and mounted in the doors of my explorer with plenty of SDS,. I'll go as high as 400 bucks. I do have a pair of Pre-2008 Hertz HSK-165's in the box that I'll probably throw in the rear (i know, not fair.) and I'm currenty looking at the newest HSK-165's or RE Audio XXX components. I mainly just want you guys to throw some names out there so I can go do some research. Any hands on experience or reviews would be greatly appreciated. My subs will be 2 Sundown SA-12's ported LOW (27-2…
