Hey since you guys are planning on them new kickass amps. which would u mind droppin some minor specs?? wink wink. i waswondering since the xs lineup simply got a new chrome basket if their would be a new line up coming out or nething new. I'm happy with my pbx 15 xs's. i hit a 146 tuned at 30 hz with no dynamat in an explorer. gotta love it. i'm interested in that 3000.1 that i heard about. how badass these new amps gonna be? leak some info.. get the rumor mill crankin

I am wondering which amp setup would be better to run on some.mid range bass door speakers and tweeters? I see a lot of people running 4 channel ones but wanted to know everyone's input on them considering I have a 2 channel just sitting here at home that hasn't seen any power yet.

I got bored today, so I took a movie of me putting a Magnum through its paces. It's 20 Hz, and very cool.

Need new sub, blew my 18" treo ssx. Anyone do recones for a decent price? Anyone selling an 18 that does 2500-3k? Budget is $300-400 Im open to other options as well. Im workin with about 4cu ft net ported, 5 sealed. Figured the 18 is the best way to go, but if 2x 15's sealed would fit, cool.

My sub is dual .7 ohm and I'm planning to do 1.4 ohms, what will be the best amplifier for it stable at 1 ohms or 2 ohms? TIA

I got a question, everyone says that playing a subwoofer below the port tune will cause the subwoofer to be unloaded, and with too much watts it will "bottom out" is this unloading the subwoofer basically becoming a sealed box with a 4", 5",3" etc hole in it (loss of major amount of bass) , or the unloading making the subwoofer box be like an infinite baffle, decreasing power handling, but increasing efficiency? if it is infinite baffle, would it have a similar 6db/octave (i think this is close) roll off instead of a usual sealed boxes 12db/octave

Looking at changing a grand prix from a 15" L7 to two 9510-4's. The amp is a kicker 1000.1. The kicker L7 is ported and in a box I guessed to be 3cf. It is under the rear deck and does not come behind it at all. Using kickers rec. tuning I modeled it and the 2 9500's. I found that the L7 is louder but doesn't go as low. If I increase the power to the MTX's they can get just as loud . Does anyone have a thought about this? Are the 9500s a upgrade over an L7? I have never heard a L7 but will hear this install on Friday. I'm just trying to get a better idea what to expect.

Hi, A friend of mine is looking for an 8" midbass speaker. He has several sizes speakers in his car ! It's not really perfect as ///M5 would have done it, but it sounds so good !!! It's one of the best sounding cars in my island : loud, nice and gets low when needed ! The 8" will be powered by 2 channels of a JBL amp, a pbx 300.4, so about 125 watt rms per side at 4 Ohms. He runs a second JBL amp (100.4) on the smaller speakers and tweeters. Electrical is very good. He has 4 Sundown saz 1000's on 2 SSA Xcon 15" in a small Renault Clio (build log here on ssa forum). Man just got a design from Ryan at ram designs. All I have to say is design looks awesome. Ryan was a great Guy to deal with fast responses was miss communication on first design and he got me another design within a few hours. After installing the FI BL FL with a 1500zx, it has shown its power. My friend is looking to develop a system with Rockford Fostgate in mind. The T1500 or the T1000, I was looking for 2 SUbs 13"+ that would hit hard at 1 ohm, or if it is not stable at 1 ohm, something thats stable at 2 ohms. Also, could the Rockford Fostgate amps power 2 subwoofers but still give the rated power of wattage to each Subs? He dosent want to spend more then $1100 on the amp and subwoofer and installation. Amp Prices are: T1500 = $430 T1000 = $360 Installation being around $150 Leaving $520 To play with for the 2 Subwoofers. Thanks

Ok a lil background, puttin together a system for my rsx and so far I've got 2 18" Xcons (putting them in separate sealed boxes because both won't fit in the car without folding the seats down) with either a crescendo 3500 our a used saz 3500. For the front I've got polk audio mm 6.5" components and for the back seats mm 5 and a quarter coax. For electrical I've got a mechman 270 alt and two xs batteries. My question is whether I should get a set of morel maximo 6's and a set of morel 5c's. I've seen a lot of people say good things about the morel's I'm just wondering if it would be worth it since I already have the polks. I would try both to see which ones I like and se…

So today I was all set to order my crescendo 2000 . I had planned on a single xcon 15..... anyways. My wife needed me to run to the store and right when I was leaving a person accepted an offer on a mmats 3500.1. Now I have no plan. Are there any 15 subs that run on 2750 daily and can play in a 3cf box?

I think I've narrowed my choices between these two and I'm wondering what the difference in sound is. I'll be using a Kicker SX1250.1 that has a birthsheet of 1420 watts for power. I'm not 100% decided on what type of box though, a sealed wouldn't be much bigger than the box I already have in there and I'm not sure I would have the space available for a ported box so at the moment I'm leaning more towards sealed of about 2.5-3 ft^3. Im looking for LSQ and more output than I'm getting from my 2 Infinity 12's on about 700 watts. Is one sub likely to get louder or sound much better than the other?

My old Death Row has been sitting around for a while not doing anything. I decided to give it to my brother and was wondering what the downsides would be to trying to run the Death Row in a Sealed Box? I know it is recommended ported, but the proper room just isn't there. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

I am not going to continue to ask for details on crapcom about them, so I brought it over here. I have a soft spot in my heart for round solo barics of old. I want to know if the CVX's are the round solo's reborn. I understand they are up market from the L5's, Polecat has said they are the choice for sealed over L7s in SQ and output, and I believe at the moment he is building a install with them in his 'burb. So, anyone heard them?

I am putting together a system, and i hear the pro's and con's of each box. My questions is a two part question, the first one is: seeing that a sealed box is more for sq, and covers a wide wavelengths, and the vented box is louder but does not do well in many of the wavelengths or you might call it hz. why not do one side sealed and one side vented 12"S ? is there a reason why it would not blend like a two way sub box? and if it is posiable would two mono amps be better then one amp the yields the same wattage?
