Hey guys. Just trying to get some quick help. I have Eminence Alpha 6 4ohm drivers in my front doors. One is buzzy, and I want to replace the pair. I am torn between the Cresendo PDX-6 , or the Incriminator dpx-6. They are running on an Alpine PDX 150/ch. Is there another option I should be looking at? Or are those two options good? Is one preferred over the other? Thanks!

Hey guys i am looking for a single 15" setup, the amp i have to power either sub would be a mtx thunder elite 801d it puts out 851x1 rms at 2 ohms, i listen to about 70% rap and 30% rock i am mostly interested in getting loud i know that that is totally install dependant, so either sub would be ported at around 32-33 hz and in about a 3.5-4.0 cu ft enclosure. Either these two woofers or any others under $300 any information would be very helpful. Thanks, Brian

I was thinking about building a box, but just found one for my Mach 5 MAW-12 sub but am not sure how the sub will sound with the specs on the "Bassworx Box" http://hamilton.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAd?AdId=11...EPLY_TO_AD_SENT. The specs for a MAW-12 recommended are 1.8cf for a ported box, and this Bassworx box seems to be a little bigger. It looks like a good price, and would save me the hassle of building my first box. What might it do for the sound of the sub? The perameters for the MAW-12 can be found on the Mach5 website http://www.mach5audio.com/index-2.html I have space for it in my 1995 Impala SS and would be running it on a 250rms 5th channel MTX 895.5. I was looking to…

Hi Guys, I recall seeing something like this before but I can't place my finger on it. Speaking with the firm, they said they haven't sent any of these to North America in over a year. Perhaps I'm thinking of a European company.... What's your take?

  7. Hello guys, I am still waiting for my amp kit and my dash kit for the head unit. But I'm thinking about my future install. I' will run a Pioneer x5600bt and 2 IA amps : a 3.4 on my focal KP 165 and a 20.1 on my 15" zcon sub. I'd like to try an active setup this time. Do you think it is worth trying with my current mids and tweeters ? I know I would need a processor to do so. As I don't want to break the bank, I'll look into the mini dsp you all talk about. My installer will build solid baffles for the speakers, and the tweeters will sit next to the mids. There is no stock place for the tweeters. I am planning to buy some products from sounddeadenershowdown.com later…

Here is my dilema. The xcons are asking like 8 cubes each...well 6-10. I can realistically only give them 6 each if that. Should I get 2 18" Xcons with a smaller box for them and only 1500 watts each? Or should I got with 1 18" FI BTL? Full powered around 2500-3000 watts in a 8+ Cubic foot box? I will be running a Audiopipe 30001d which I just ordered. And it will give me 3,000 watts at 2 Ohms Bridged So what would you guys do? One stronger 18" in the perfect box with perfect power. Or 2 xcons with a lesser box a power?

will we EVER see an LMT driver which is optimized for home theater use? The Tumult 15d2 should have some competition in this area. That said, i would just love to get my hands on an rls-15 and put it in a sealed box with a LT circuit or Bassis unit. If we could only get some good T/S...

Don't hate the BOSS... gf wanted a small system, I'm building her one lol. Regardless, I can't find much info on the sub besides what's listed on the main site and sonicelectronix. BOSS AUDIO SYSTEMS | ENTERTAIN YOURSELF and Boss CX8 - 8" Subwoofers - Sonic Electronix Sub will be powered by only 70wrms at 4 ohm. so question is: what tuning should I do the enclosure for the sub? anyone have any ideas on port length? also airspace recommendations on an 8? She listens to gaga/la roux and ke$ha a lot. I'm honestly not that experienced doing my own enclosures and would prefer help of the forum over me trying to do it myself haha. just an fyi, I am always open to free enclos…

Hi All, As some of you have mentioned, I threw up some snaps of a 12" prototype sub on the site. I have just added another one - a 20" unit. I'll be spending a bit of time with these in the near future. Head to this link to see them: http://testbed.mach5audio.com Best regards, Mark

Hi guys, I need 2 12" subs for a friend of mine. He has an MTX TE 4000 to run them. He doesn't really know what to get. He drive a small car (renault Clio) with a hatchback. He will be able to fit a 3 to 3.5 ft3 ported box in his trunk. He's still undecided ! AA Mayhems are his first choice, but I asked Some info about the DC Level 4 xl, and he saw the Orion HCCA. He seems to like the Orion. But we never listened to any of those subs. What do you think about those 3. I think the Orion is not the best choice, but when he reads the specs, he likes them : low Fs, high sd, big motor !!! What can I tell him to choose? All those 3 are in the same budget , with shipping.

  16. I have about 1200 watts to work with and 1.1 cu.ft. of airspace per woofer. I'm looking for 2 12's that will do great with minimum airspace. My box is 2.2cu.ft. tuned to 32hz and i am not going to go with a one sub setup simply because of the cone area and i was wondering what you guys suggest.

  17. Hi I would like to find out if there is any big advantages to changing out my daily driver RE Audio SE10 (pre US AMPS takeover) to a SKAR VVX10 or SA-10. I have a current box built with approx 1.25cu tuned to 34hz, and will probally be using the same box. I want to try out a new sub only if it is better. Also running off a US AMPS Merline MD1D @ 1ohm. Thanks for any input.

Overall I was wondering the pros and cons of each of the woofers. I would be putting four of them in my trunk. Sq isnt much of a priority. Which would be louder and handle more power? Im lookin to run about 1000 rms each on whatever one i get.

I'm really stuck on this guys please help me out. Which amp do you think would make a really good pairing with the magnum 15''? I want to keep it under 1000 watts so there is no need to upgrade electrical. My budget is $450 and under preferably under 400 though. I've been looking at soundstream rubicon series and the tarantula series T700W amp what do you think of these two amps? Also for cheaper maybe a hifonics 1000W? I'm really stuck please just give me some suggestions to look into thank you very much.

i was wondering what the word is on these from people who've actually used them. i am looking to use them as replacements for my M6 in the doors in a 3way setup so its used to play 100-315hz, maybe 80hz at the lowest. How well do they do as a true midbass driver compared to the M6, Tang Bands, Adire and other midbass drivers.

Well its official! I just bought 4 Eminence Alpha 12s and 8 Selenium Bullet tweeters. Will be reusing the 8 Alpha 6s I have also. Was going to do 8 6s, 8 8s, 4 12s, and 8 tweets, but its just too much money. Instead of all 100.2s, Ill be running a 100.4 on the 8 6s, a 100.4 bridged on the 4 12s, and a 100.2 on the 8 Bullets. Each Alpha 6 will be seeing about 50-60rms. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tNumber=290-400 Each Alpha 12 will be seeing 160-170rms. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tNumber=290-405 Each Bullet Tweeter will see 50-60rms. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...4-362&DID=7 Flame, drool, do what you will. 25. if your current set up was giving you around 600 watts per sub into a sub with 1000 watts rms handling, but for $550 you could upgrade to a different amp that would put around 844 watts into that same sub would you spend the extra cash to do it? i mean can one even tell the difference by listening to a sub with either power going to them? not sure if it matters but the system consist of 3 18's..im looking for opinions to see if its worth me spending the $550 and only adding about 200 watts per sub if even that..
