I recently got a 2015 Altima 4d, and would like to upgrade the factory speakers. I'm not so much concerned with changing the HU (has b/u camera and steering wheel controls), unless it is absolutely necessary. I'm also not concerned with adding a sub, atleast not yet, but is a possibility in the future. As far as speakers go, I'm looking at going to 6.5's and adding a pair of tweeters. It currently has 4 door speakers, a pair of 6x9's in the deck, and a pair of 3.5's in the dash. My thought is to ditch the 6x9's (or just unhook), replace the 3.5's in the dash with some tweets, and replace the front door speakers (possibly all 4 door speakers). I do plan on running the spea…

I have a really big van. Plenty of space for a huge ported box, so i should be able to underpower the subs a little. I'm hoping a bunch of MJs will be louder than the (4) 15" FI SSDs i have now. A pair of saz-1500 strapped were tested to do 3740 watts at 12.8 volts. A single MJ-18 is rated 600 watts rms (6) 8 ohm MJs could be wired to 1.34 ohms (8) 8 ohm MJs could be wired to 1 ohm Can I do more in a huge ported box or should i just keep my SSDs?

For those who have bougth DC Sound Lab products. I am a witness to the dedication to keep us happy w/ their excellent service. Due to clipping from my amp my tinsel leads on my lvl4 12's had burned. Emailed Rusty Flowers, he told me to send them back, to be reconed. Shipped them off and they were back in no time, w/ no cost to me. Just thought I would point this out to show my gratitude and acknowledge a job well done' along w/ a good sense of business held by this company. Thanx Rusty and big upps

hi all! im a college student that is sick of not being able to purchase high end audio equipment but loves music. So i did a little research and stumbled upon the mj18. I've decided to do my first DIY sealed subwoofer using a single mj18 and buttkicker amp. I do know that they recommend 2.8 cu ft for a sealed mj18, but It looks as if alot of people are using larger boxes. Since im new to this, im uncertain as to why many of you have deviated from the "recommended" size. I would greatly appreciate if you guys could give me some tips, recommndations, and possibly some box dimensions on building my first sub without using a eq. I will most likely be using 3/4 mdf or plywood.…

After installing the FI BL FL with a 1500zx, it has shown its power. My friend is looking to develop a system with Rockford Fostgate in mind. The T1500 or the T1000, I was looking for 2 SUbs 13"+ that would hit hard at 1 ohm, or if it is not stable at 1 ohm, something thats stable at 2 ohms. Also, could the Rockford Fostgate amps power 2 subwoofers but still give the rated power of wattage to each Subs? He dosent want to spend more then $1100 on the amp and subwoofer and installation. Amp Prices are: T1500 = $430 T1000 = $360 Installation being around $150 Leaving $520 To play with for the 2 Subwoofers. Thanks

Just curious if anyone here has any experience with these speakers. Everything I've found on google is in German for the most part. The set I was looking at was the SLX 265.20 X-Plain component speakers. From what I've gathered, these are the entry level speakers from Rainbow. Just wondering how these performed compared to other component sets in this price range. I can get the component set for $175.00 shipped.

Would it be smart to attach some sort of gasket to make an airtight seal between the box and subwoofer? If so what would you use?

I just made a deal on a PPI PC2350 (thanks tirefryr for the heads up) and am going to build a new box for my mag to go with it. Right now my 15 is in a 2 cuft sealed box and I can hear that I need it in a little bigger of a box to get lower. Would 3 cuft be too much sealed? I can't wait to hear how this baby sounds with 1400 watts being thrown at it.

Hi All, As some of you have mentioned, I threw up some snaps of a 12" prototype sub on the site. I have just added another one - a 20" unit. I'll be spending a bit of time with these in the near future. Head to this link to see them: http://testbed.mach5audio.com Best regards, Mark

I am looking for 2 LSQ subwoofers... Amplifier power: 2x strapped SAZ-1500D Minimum ohmage would be somewhere around 2 ohms. So the subwoofers will get approx. 1500W RMS each. I will be running them sealed, I do not like the ported sound. I used to own 2 RE XXX subwoofers (the first generation) and I really loved them. Unfortunately I had to sell them. But now I am back and want something similar in return. So can anyone give me good advice? [edit typos] Cannot edit my typos... I meant of course: S Q L subwoofers...

Well...I've never heard the SI Mag D2...but from what I read it sounds amazing. Help me imagine it. Compare the sub to an IDMAX or SoudSplinter rl-p or Alpine Type R or 12W7. Thanks in advance...I look forward to the replies as I am a bit excited by what you may say about it.

Hi Guys, I recall seeing something like this before but I can't place my finger on it. Speaking with the firm, they said they haven't sent any of these to North America in over a year. Perhaps I'm thinking of a European company.... What's your take?

I got this off of caraudio.com and I couldn't find anything close to all this news on the "official" SI site. I understand this may not even be the chosen driver, but this IS the driver I want, specifically the Shollower mounting depth (by a full inch!) and secondly but not as important - smaller, more specific enclosure requirements. If this ends up being the new Mag, it means I'll be getting this to stick in my Rav4, which my current Mag was supposed to go into be can't because of mounting depth issues. This also means I gotta say sorry to Fi and Soundsplinter because I think I'll stick with the Mag. Saying that though, This needs to be quoted: BTW, here's the car…
