(had them bridged on my boss-rev665 so double rms. and not tuned. also had bass boost on. and gain was over 3/4. lol. (obviously before i knew anything) Lear From Your Mistakes! so i decided to have some fun. took it pretty well for i few seconds. Gain AND Bass boost were AL THE WAY UP! enjoy. (click photo)

I found out today when I checked my email that I won a gift card at work that I can spend at Crutchfield or Best Buy. There are other places, but they are the only ones that offer car audio. The card value is $350.00. Would it be worth it to add the extra $150.00 and get a set of these? I also see where they have a set of Focal 3 way Focal Access 165A3 for $499.00, but it does not look like one of the higher end sets. I realize Crutchfield is overpriced, but I still wanted to see if anyone has listened to these or have any opinions about them. I would think they would be nice since Boston puts out a quality product. I have this to work with. 60 Watts x 4 @ 4 ohm 110 Watts…

I have a sundown saz3500d im going to be using to power my subwoofer stage. i cant decide what subs i want to run however. im stuck between 2 Sundown NightShade V2 D1 15's or 2 FI BTL N2 D1 15's (i havent found any videos or opinions on these FI's really?). those are my main two choices but i have been considering saving the money and going with 2 of the sundown z v2 D1 15s. Is it beneficial to go with the top model nightshades compared to the z? in my video watching i have been very impressed by all the sundown 12's. i have also been giving the nightshade v2 d1 12s, z v2 d1 12s, and 4 d2 sa 12s some thought. id really like to see 150db on music, maybe wishing too big, b…

  7. Im looking two get two new subs. What would be a better buy. 2 12" Alpine Type R subs (4ohm) or 2 12" Rockford Fosgate P3 subs(4ohm). They are being powered by a US Amps XT2000D amplifier and will be wired at 1ohm. In a sealed box. I am getting both at the same price but i dont know which ones would sound better. And im also looking at getting some new speakers, debating wheter to get the Alpine Type R 5x7 SPR-57C or the RE Audio RE5X7FR. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have a 4.1 cubic foot box with a IA DR 15 in it with a round port. It's tuned to 30hz with a 4" diameter and a 10" long tube that come out to 12.5 "sq area. I have not listened to it yet, but is this enough port area? Will it hurt the sub?

  13. Hi Guys I'm also planning to do the door speakers (With an Amplifier) in my car and I have never done this I've always only added a sub. So I may have a lot of questions and I'm looking for some direction. This will be hooked up to factory Head unit Via LC6i (unless directed otherwise.) My car has 8 total speakers. Front door has 6.5" speakers and then tweeters in the dash. Rear doors have a 6.5" at the bottom and then a tweeter next to the door handle. I have added pics below for reference. I have no idea what the depth would be or if spacers would or could be used? Not sure how to find that out. Now I don't want to go crazy but I'm willing to flex my bud…

So I noticed Mach 5's got something in the works with the IXL 8". Was wondering if there's any updates on these?? I'm going to run a quad 8" setup and am down to my final choices of subs; DD 1508 and the RE RE8. I'll highly consider the IXL if it will rival these. ps It's great to see a Canadian company making some waves in the audio world. CHEERS FROM RED DEER!!

What are your opinions on this sub? in my case, it is $48 cheaper than a RL-p (both being 15s). idk if im down with the 1000w rms though. do you folks think they will hit pretty much the same dbs in general, just one will sound nicer than the other?

I think I've narrowed my choices between these two and I'm wondering what the difference in sound is. I'll be using a Kicker SX1250.1 that has a birthsheet of 1420 watts for power. I'm not 100% decided on what type of box though, a sealed wouldn't be much bigger than the box I already have in there and I'm not sure I would have the space available for a ported box so at the moment I'm leaning more towards sealed of about 2.5-3 ft^3. Im looking for LSQ and more output than I'm getting from my 2 Infinity 12's on about 700 watts. Is one sub likely to get louder or sound much better than the other?

I just noticed that Alpine improved their woofers and they seem to be much better than before. Alpine electronics With the addition of a pole vent, slimmer mounting depth, and bigger motor. I'm not really a fan of many mainstream manufactors but i'm curious to see how these do. Anyone hear about them yet?

I currently run a single 12 inch zcon and don't really have the room for multiple sub's or any bigger. I'm looking for suggestions on a sub that will get louder and lower if there is one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I could fit a 15 but I don't really want to build the box inside the trunk.
