I just got 2 Fi Q15's with the BP power and put them on an Audioque 2200d amp. I have listed the specs of the system to see if everything is tuned right? Because the subs just are not hitting as hard as I think they should. Specs: Box made of 3/4 mdf. The box is 8 cuft NET tuned to 32hz with 106sqin of port. external dimensions- 43" wide 30" tall 17" deep Port on the far left - 28.5" high 4" wide keep port 4" wide throughout. The right port wall is - 28.5" high x 11.5" deep The port wall to the right of that is 6.25" deep x 28.5" high And here is a pic of the box. Alright so I'll give you guys some backround information. I have a 2008 Honda Fit Sport. 180 amp singer alt and xs d5100r under the hood, and 2 xs xp3000's in the hatch. 2 soundqubed 2200s strapped @ 2 ohms (each seeing 1 ohm) pushing 2 hdc315's in a 10 ish cu ft box tuned to 32hz. I don't k now how much port area there is, but it's a lot. These things get low. Sometimes I wish I tuned a little higher, but that's a whole other topic. I haven't played many test tones but on music I've been metered at 153.8 and as high as 149.9 @ 29hz. My mids and high keep up with the bass, but they're missing that "wow" factor. People that don't know anything about car audio will be blown…

subs will be in 2.5 cubes each tuned to 32 hz....i want good lows but also a strong punch on higher notes each sub will be d4 powered by a rockford fosgate t1500-1bd

So this happened, I'm new this, still learning, but is there any way to fix this or do i just have to completely buy a new 12? What caused this just so i know because i don't want it to happen again.

I have a ia dr on prob 6 or 700 watts. The amp is a brutes 1200 soon to have big 3 and a yellow top under the hood. Space is no problem I have a 07 trailblazer. I like my 12 but I want to be louder.I was thinking about 6 12" or 6 10" skars at one ohm so prob about 200 watts to each. Would this be a good upgrade cuz I really wana try the skars out

Hello, i've been looking around on these forums trying to find a decent 5.25 component set. I found a guy that decided about the dreamline and have heard people praise these before as well (people seem to really enjoy rainbow). I will be unable to make my own kicks(no faith in myself), and do not have anyway to have them made by someone else near me (sucks). I realize putting these speakers in kicks are going to be my best option of placement. So therefore i'm going to have to go with q-forms ( i will be putting sound deadening in them, i heard it helps ) and the max they can hold is about a 5.25. 2x Level 3 12's with an AQ 1200d amp, the box is little more than 4 cubes tuned to 39.5 hz, off some tones i was able to do a 139.9, and then some tuning bumped me up to 140.0 db, sealed with TL on the window. The hard part is its in a 4 dr car which are f*ckn hard to get loud, but we shall see what this setup can do when tuned to 43-44 hz, should have results Thursday with some pictures.

Well i have been bumping the maw for a couple months now, and have just recently been being hard on it. Today on the way home i was listening to late nite tip, when the whole sound changed. literally like night and day instantly. never saw, or heard anything like this before. now it gets right down and plays the low low note in that song like the others. at first i thought the sub was screwed, cause it sounded so different. then i realised it was playing clearer and louder than before, plus hitting lower. anyone ever experiance this with any sub? pretty crazy huh?

HellO all . I need a little help just got my Rl-i 12's A few days ago. still dont know what zmp to get. I got the dual 4 ohm . Im kinda loking at the octane-R 8.0:1 but dont kno the full specs of this amp. dose it run 1 ohm stable and if it does what wattage .Is it 800 rms at 2 ohms or is that just peak power? nsorry new to the whole sounds thing . planing on making one box for each sub about one cbf 2 one & a 1/4 cbf. if I could get some help or sugestions on amps for these sub it wuld be great .

hey guys how big of a difference will there be between the 2 pbx12's i have now and the pbx 15's. all of this is in a mazda protege hatchback and i wanna know will the 15's make a bigger difference than the 12's the amp is an orion 2500d. thanks guys

At high volumes my 18 makes a hollow pop sound. It sounds like someone is flicking the dust cap of the woofer but louder. First I thought bottoming out, but it happens at frequencies where there is not high excursion. This problem also happened on my sa12s I had previously. So now I'm thinking it is my amp, but why would the amp make such a noise? Any ideas? Coils read good, no clipping, constant voltage.

I will be looking for 5.25's and a 4 channel amp, what do you guys think i should get? Can be more than 100, just the less the more i got for other things.

I am looking for 2 LSQ subwoofers... Amplifier power: 2x strapped SAZ-1500D Minimum ohmage would be somewhere around 2 ohms. So the subwoofers will get approx. 1500W RMS each. I will be running them sealed, I do not like the ported sound. I used to own 2 RE XXX subwoofers (the first generation) and I really loved them. Unfortunately I had to sell them. Ok, currently i have a set of Focal 165 3-way components in my yukon and i think they sound great! I know some say that they are harsh, and at first i agree, but after a little eq'ing i got them sounding great imho. I am doing an install for a friend in his Voltswagon gti (nice car:)) and am trying to choose a good (under $350) 3-way component set for him. I am considering the precision power PC.3.65. I will buy an amp according to the speakers i choose. I would recommend my focal set but they might be a little "harsh" in his small car. Those aluminum tweeters in the focals are sharp haha! got 1.5 cubes for sealed / need advice on subsafter some careful considerations, i cant do a ported box.too much space. i can do 1.5 cuft SEALED after displacement. i got the amp to push these @1000w rms. ive been going back and forth with different configurations for about a week now, my head hurts . my paycheck came today and i wanna buy a sub before i run outta money. so now im looking for a sealed configuration for a stereo integrity mag v3. I have a question.. Just brought a AU-SPL 12 dvc 4 ohm.. I see is that only connection to 2 ohm amp.. Is there a way i can connect to 1 ohm amp from dvc 4 ohm single sub?
