hey everyone. i am looking at doing my front setup very soon and i would like opinions on component speakers. i will most likely be getting the Sundown SAZ-100.4 amp.(or the 125.2)really trying to decide if i wand sound in the bak. im thinkin i do. becuz i dont want to completely screw my friends while listenin to music. i have 6.5 speakers in the doors. and tweeters in the armrest(all stock) in the back, there are 6x9's and tweeters.(stock as well) its a 1994 Toyota Camry Wagon. so...let the opinions flow. how are these Image Dynamics CTX65CS 's ?ive been reading on them and they seem good overall. opinions? Plan "A" didn't work out so I need help with forming a plan"B". Plan "A" was to be a single 10" dcon under the passenger side rear seat. Can get the required airspace(.9 net) for the dcon but just cant get the depth to mount it. The sub could be installed but the magnet would literally be sitting on the back of the enclosure or the cone sitting on the floor. I used the search function and see some recommend shallow mount subs while others recommend running eights. In the posts I read there were mixed reviews on the performance of the shallow mount subs while the eights seem to be fairly popular. I would definitley consider the Sundown Sa-8 but I'm not sure I could…

I want to get something like a single 12 or 10 and a 500 watt rms amp. Been looking at the store on here and cant seem to match anything. Ive always had jl, and had a 12 w6v2 with the 500 watt slash amp and liked it. I want to see if there is a cheaper alternative (there has to be) i like the look of the sundown amps, but 1200 watts is the smallest, yikes. any ideas. I was thinkning maybe the dual 10 setup they have in the store. I think its 2 10" dcons or something with the 125.2 amp. Any other ideas. Not looking for tons of bass, just some smooth low end to put in the car.

I want to get rid of my factory speakers, at least the front ones for now (in the future, ill get another pair for the rear). I originally intended to go for the alpine type X, but then started digging more choices and ended up with a few recommendations. These included image dynamics, diamond audio, and the alpine type x themselves. Now, I have heard the Image dynamics are REALLY GOOD. Easy choice over the type X. Doing some testing for couple compaines but MAINLY for myself. Vehicle is a 2000 S-10 ext cab Xtreme. Still have lots of subs to try, and things to do to current ones. Sundown Audio NSv2 D1 with SPL coil- 3900rms, 151.3 @ 43hz Sundown Audio NSv1 D2 coil- 2300rms, 149.5 @ 45hz Atmos Exo D2 coil- 1600rms, 149.7 @ 44hz Cascade Omega- 1800rms. 148.4 @ 49hz Incrimintor Audo Warden- 3200rms 152.0 @ 43hz DC lvl4 xl with Spl coil- did not clamp, 151.0 @ 43hz This was just after one day of testing fast as possible to keep tempature and conditions close to same as possible. Hi I recently installed a pioneer deh4200ub head unit in my car. It is a nissan altima without the bose system. I currently have 2 pioneer 6x9s in the rear deck and 2 5.25 speakers in the front door and 2 tweeters on the front door as well. Their at the same level as the side mirrors if you know what I mean. Anyway the speakers in my front door seem to rattle and I am just not happy with the SQ. I would like to upgrade to something alittle nicer. I am fine with the pioneer 6x9s in the back though. I am more concerned with the front because from what Ive read here that is the most importan part as far as SQ goes. I was thinking of buying Diamond Audio D3's. They make them …

I am looking at upgrading the components in my doors and I have narrowed it down to these three components. I cannot demo the 165XL because no one around me has any on their demo board. I am wanting to know what you all recommend as far as midbass and accurate sound reproduction which are the better speakers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Lately I've been thinking about upgrading my front stage and decided that is what I'm going to do. Currently I have one set of Image Dynamics CTX65cs and I love them. I'm thinking I want to go ahead and just add another set up front. I noticed an online store actually sells the mid-range and tweeter separately and I've read some random stuff about running them actively. Does anyone know if this is indeed possible and where I would crossover the speakers\tweets at? If this sounds like a bad plan I'm open to suggestions. well my subwoofer fund for a 15 went up to the 300-350 range cuz i dont wana be dissapointed, and i was wanting to know which would sound better and still have mad bass between the aq hdc3 and the fi bl ran off a hifonics 1600d? in a box at 4cubes and hopefully 32hz if not 30hz. and input will be greatly appreciated thnx in advance ~Bill

i have been looking around on the ssa store and am intrested in gettin 1 15inch sub in a ported box. i saw that the packages are alot cheaper than buying seperatly. which package is better for spl the xcon or sundown nightshade D2 both with a saz1500d. the xcon package is 819 and the sundown is 899.

I walked into a local stereo shop looking to get some carpet for a speaker box and they had an Eclipse Titanium 15". I had not seen one of these in a few years. They were asking $250 for it, it was an old floor model I believe. Is that a good price for one of these? I recall they were quite a bit back then. Would $250 be worth it? I was getting ready to re-install my 12" Soundsplinter RLP into my new car and saw this and gave me second thoughts.

i will be putting a system in my wifes chrysler 300 and i was leaning towards audioque sdc 2.5 and a audioque 1200d, i will be using 2 subs in a ported enclosure, my question is how do audioque's hold up against say ssa or incriminator 187's

Can i use 2 1/2 dry wall screws to mount my sub in the box? Does it matter what line driver you use? Last question, will any RCA's work, if there cheap or not?

Hello everyone, I'm curious about 12s that could work great in a mid sized ported box 1.5 cubes - 1.75 cubes each powered by a Sundown SAZ1500D. So far what caught my eyes is a pair of DC Level 3 12s or a pair of Sundown SA 12s.

Hey guys, i've been thinking about upgrading to a different sub, but i cant decide what i want. Right now i have a SSD 12, which i am very happy with sq wise, and it does get decently loud, but not as loud as i would like. Im looking to stay with the 1 12 set up, or possibly 1 15, so what would you guys say would be a good choice to get as loud as possible. I've been thinking maybe a BL or something similar. I would like to keep the price around 400 or under. Thanks.

i wanted to know if a 3 1/4 bullet tweeter would fit in a 3 1/2 speaker opening in my dash. right now i have infinity 3 1/2 coaxial speakers and i thought the bullet tweeters might be louder. i was looking at the boss audio 3" and a few others . the depth of the openiing is 2 inches

I just picked up a set a focal components and was wondering what the seasoned guys on here would suggest. My problem is i dont have room to build large pods outside the doors to house the 6.5. Could i use like a 6 inch pvc pipe and seal up the back side of it and glass up a front baffle to mount to the door skin at the factory location. I have about 7 inches between the outer and inner door skins and no window interference. I want the best sound out of these without building pods outside the door panel. Is this going to be enought volume or should i go a different route. Thanks guys.

What's up folks I'm about to buy 2 Fi Bl 15's fully loaded I'm wanting to know whats the most power they can handle daily because I have a Memphis mojo 4000 & I personally don't like just doing rms power that's why I chose this subwoofer & not the btl series. So I've seen a ton of videos featuring hair tricks and I figured it'd be cool to see if my system can pull it off..Only problem is that I'm clueless how to go about it. Obviously someone with long hair is needed. I'm not sure what song would be best, or what window for that matter... Any tips for me? Is it pretty much just trial and error? Any reason my system wouldn't be able to hair trick? Does hairspray\hairgel have a negative impact on it?
