Hi everyone, I am new to here and I am looking to purchase a pair of component speakers 6.5 from Fusion and was hoping anyone on here had knowledge about Fusion and their component speaker line. I don't want to spend too much because my budget is tight but around the $80 range. I've seen 2 different models that I am interested in and have seen them on ebay for my price range but I need to know if Fusion is good quality sound on component speakers. I have 2-12" sub's from Fusion that pound pretty good that I've had for years Model# EN-SW12ES and I went with them from word of mouth on another car audio forum (that doesn't exist anymore) because they were in my price range a…

my friend is looking to upgrade his mids and tweeters in his car, and the only green speakers he have ever seen, he's just wondering if anyone has heard of them and if they are any good, and if there not good, if anyone has an alternative speaker company they know with green accents on the speakers or grills

so, my friend Jeremiah tells me that his brother in law Sean was throwing away some vintage 70s 15" pioneers, so I was like sweet drop that shit in your trunk, I'll give you a holla' in 4 to 5 hours. so about 5 hours later, I showed up at his house, he told me Sean had ripped the woofers up to keep people from taking em. well, they werent actually in bad shape ;o the mids and tweets are destroyed, nothing I cant get off parts express for 50$ or less, I was more interested in the 15s for sub use (5.1 stereo with integrated subwoofer amp, my 8 that came with it was sold right after I got my 18 so I could buy some wood for it XD ) cause frankly, a 200hz crossover point mean…

I've had a 15 inch ICON in my old explorer for the past two years and loved every second of it. But that car is now gone. I'm planning on getting a GCON that will go in a mustang. Obviously the trunk isn't nearly as big in a mustang, so I'm debating between a 10 inch or a 12 inch. The specs say a 12" optimal ported box is 3 cubic feet, and 2.5 cubic feet for the 10". These are bigger recommended box sizes than the icons of the same size...so why do the GCONs need such a big box? Just wondering cause I'm playing with limited room!

So I have purchased Gcon from tirefyr while I am awaiting to get all my parts together for my other build. My question about my Gcon. It will be sealed at 1.5 cuft after displacement. I was planning to put the sub in the center of the 30 in wide enclosure. Would there be any benefit to offsetting the sub one way or the other? or am I just over thinking this.

Have a 12" GCON in a sealed box. It sounds great but I am wanting more and I know the sub will give it to me if I can put it in the right enclosure. I used the ICON enclosure design for the sealed box it is in now, would the ICON ported design work well for the GCON as well? It falls into the optimal range, 2.5f^3 tuned to 33hz. It is a 2 ohm sub with 500 watts powering it in the trunk of a '96 accord. I have about 32" x 20" x 18" to work with. Anyone have any experience or recommendations for a ported box design that will work well with the GCON?

I want to get something like a single 12 or 10 and a 500 watt rms amp. Been looking at the store on here and cant seem to match anything. Ive always had jl, and had a 12 w6v2 with the 500 watt slash amp and liked it. I want to see if there is a cheaper alternative (there has to be) i like the look of the sundown amps, but 1200 watts is the smallest, yikes. any ideas. I was thinkning maybe the dual 10 setup they have in the store. I think its 2 10" dcons or something with the 125.2 amp. Any other ideas. Not looking for tons of bass, just some smooth low end to put in the car.

well after a 3 year hiatus of not having a SI Mag i'm back. i had an original claw basket 12. i just acquired a 15" new gen Mag and its going in a roadmaster wagon (huge space). and will power it with the mono side of a memphis big belle (1100w RMS) *****EDIT***** i wanted some expert opinion on the box plans i came up with....4.0 ft^3 @ 30hz total internal vol - 5.66 ft^3 (46.5"w x 12"h x 17.53"d) port area - 54 in^2 (18" x 3") port length - 37.31 in driver vol - .2 ft^3 .....what i don't know how to do is figure the port wall lengths. the sub will be firing up with the port up too. any help or advice is greatly appreciated. i'm stoked to be back with SI.

Ok so I will be getting an 18 soon, still debating whether an AA SMD or an SSA XCON (The SMD is like $400 more, idk if the gains are worth that much) Anyways, before anything I know I need to have my electrical ready so here comes my question. Right now my Ford Expedition is 100% stock. It only has a 2000D powering a Pioneer 12inch sub with 1000watts RMS. I know the Big 3 is A MUST HAVE. But, do I need a new alternator? Do I need a new battery? Do I need more than my stock battery? The reason to ask is because if I get the sub + the enclosure, I will most likely have no money left for a new alternator or new/extra battery. And hopefully the 4gauge that I have right now wi…

So I haven't had a sub in almost 4 years, I've been running a factory stereo in my expedition (mach) for over a year and the factory 8 finally gave out. So now it's time to put a little something together. I have the expedition with 3rd row seating removed, so I have space for whatever I decide to do. I've been going back and forth between a sundown e12 for $80 or a SQ HDS200 15 for what SSA sells them, $115. I don't plan to compete, just get a little bass again. It won't be played a whole lot as I have a 1 year old who rides in my truck. That being said, when I am alone it will be played rather hard. I'm afraid the 12 won't be enough for a large SUV since I was use to an…

I wanted to get some input on components as I have had little luck with getting the goods. I have limited car audio dealerships near me and they all seem to deal about 6 manufacturers and not all that great. The best I hear around here tends to be the cheaper JL VR series. Thats not saying much I'm sure, so any suggestions for someone who cant ear them. I like them to be linear, meaning not bright in the highs and not flat in the mid bass region. And worst of all they have to be competent for my next attempt at an LSQ vehicle which will be most likely a trio of Fi SSD 15's powered by a SunDown Saz-3000D at 1.33 ohms ( I'm banking on 2250 - 2500 watts there.) I am expectin…

I am getting very irritated with my PG Tantrum. I have not had it in long at all. And this thing is suppose to put out 1507 watts (by BS). Well my PPI PC2150 does alot better on my Magnum than the PG. I do not get it. I put my Mag in a 2 cube sealed box and still does not help it. I had the Tantrum turned about 3/4 the way up, the ssf on about 30, the crossover on about 80hz, and the bass boost barely up at all and my PPI out does this amp. Everyone kept telling me it had to be a setting on the amp so I gradualy turned it up a little more, and yes I was getting some major movement out of the sub at high volumes but at volumes of 21 and less (Alpine HU) it was like there w…

Ive been doing some research on some 8' subs with about a $200 budget and was hoping for some suggestions. I've mainly had my eye on the new alpine's since I can get them about $90 a pop. If anybody knows someone that is selling some 8's for sale in a fair price range, or if the sundown SA-8 by itself could topple most 8 inch couples then that input would be handy as well. Secondly, I hear its quite difficult to make a screamin ported box for this size of sub and was hoping for some direction here as well. When I look at youtube videos I see ports that are sometimes much bigger than the box they are in alone. =/ I've fooled around with WinISD pro alpha version, and pu…

I'm sure everyone here has had those times when they just get bored and wanna try a different set-up. It's hit me too. Right now I have a 15" Mag D2 in a 3.25 ported enclosure powered by a Hifonics 1205d (putting out about 1000wrms@1ohm). I am trying to get rid of the mag to try a different set-up, I wanted to do 2-12's. I will have around $220-240 to work with, but if i can get away cheaper I will. They two subs I was deciding between were the Type-R's and those MB quarts that woofersetc has on sale for $99.MB quarts What are some other good options in this price range? I will probably use the same amp and box size isn't much of an issue (up to 5 cuft shouldn't be hard t…
