thinkn about buying one, what have you guys heard about them? Or does anyone own one yet?

Hi I am getting close to getting all the pieces to start my build and now it is down to the door speakers. It will be in a explorer and ran off a Kicker zx650.4 I have decided to get 2 pairs of MLI-65s for the front and rear. Does anyone know some tweats that could match them good? Price is the main concern but am willing to spend an extra dollar if it's worth it. Also would I need a crossover and could someone point me to a few worth the price. Thanks for any input! Hi guys, I currently have two regular pioneer 10" shallow mount subs in the back of my dodge ram. i was planning on upgrading to the the premium pioneer 10"s ( the s4 model) this friday. I have a rocksford fosgate r500 d series amp. the old subs run at around 200-250 rms i belive, and the new ones would run at 300 rms. my amp pushes out 500 raw rms. i am not sure ( despite what they told me at the aduio shop) wether or not my amp will be enough to properly power the new subs. The guy says whenever he does a system with the preium pioneers he uses the r500 amp. However, i'd hate to upgrade only to see a minimal change in performance. does anyone have any kind of experience…

My sub will be bumping bass for parts of the song then it will cut out and nothing will be coming out of the bass. I have 2 subs, ones a 12 and the other is a 10 kicker compR. I have a 900watt pioneer amp connected to the them both, the bass will cut in and out, what’s the problem?? I’m clueless with subs

Last year I purchased a set of Image Dynamics CTX-65CS for my front stage. I was running them on an AQ200.2 amp. The right side tweeter kept blowing so ID upgraded me to the XS-28 tweets and the matching crossovers from the CSX set. Well, after 3 more attempts the tweets kept blowing. They said it must be something wrong with my amp, so I swapped the amp for my Kenwood KAC-7005PS. I bridged the channels to get 100 watts per side so that overpowering should not be an issue. Well, after the warranty ran out my last replacement came in. It lasted a week. I don't know what the problem could be unless the driver on that side was bad, sending the incorrect ohms to the tweets. T…

So tonight I installed some under-the-dash neons for a friend of mine who will be getting a Mag 12 with two of Sundown Audio's amplifiers and Boston comp's up front. Anyway, sorry for not hosting these but get on IE or shut up. PS: I know I'm a lazy bastage when it comes to hosting pics so everyone can see them but ... just wanted to say hi, i just put my order in yesterday for my 15" mag and i cant wait. the mag will be going in my 04 scion xb, not sure what amp im going to run yet maybe a modded bd1500 or an re 12.1. i was previously running 3 crystal 8's with a power bd500 hitting mid 140's and am hoping to do a little better with this 15.

The SI website says that it recommends 3.5ft^3 tuned to 27hz for the 15" and that the RMS is 975w. Would it be ok in a 4.06ft^3 enclosure tuned to 34hz running off of a solid 1200w rms? Oh yeah....wuddup Denim?!

I started a thread a couple weeks ago but I butchered my questioning so bad that I wasn't able to get the response I was looking for so I'm gonna try again. Anyway, what frequency is the foot pedal of the bass drum typically played at? If possible, I'm wanting my sub to maximize that frequency, as I love the short kicks in the back of my seat, and minimize the other frequencies of the long bass notes that, when played with too much volume, drown out my mids/highs. Was there any change in the night shade specs from the v.1 to the v.2? i plan to buy a 15 and not sure the specs changed.

I am going over my system and trying to fix things up for more quality at higher volumes. at present i have a 2 way setup bi amped with an alpint 1" silk tweet and a 10" crachendo. so here is what im thinking right now: im looking at hertz speakers as we sell them at my new job and they sound amazing. so i can pick up a 2 way hertz (either 5.25" or 6.25") and get a new 2 channel amp for them. then i can run my 10" crachendos as mid bass speakers with high/low pass filters on my present amp. does this sound like it might be a good way to build a 3way setup with what i already have or would buying a already built 3 way (6.5, 3.5, tweet) from hertz work out better do you …

In the damned school parking lot! Some guys wanted to take a listen at my Magnum 15" so I started up my car and cranked it up for about 10 seconds or so of solid bass to let them see just how clean and loud it would go, and then a few minutes later a cop pulled into the parking lot and got out to have a word with me. He said when he drove by it was playing at an "unreasonably loud level" and that he turned his car around to investigate it. He went back to his damned car and wrote me a ticket for disorderly conduct. Im having some minor issues with my two Z 15's and i was wondering if i upgrade to a couple of btl 15's what will i gain/lose wit output and sound quality? Is it worth the extra $80?

Is it possible to just replace the surround on a sub, let's say Xcon? Can you do it without having to actually do a full recone?

I'm looking for recommendations for a sub. I've got a .82 cubic ft custom sealed fiberglass enclosure and a Polk Audio PA400.1 which does 300w at 2ohm - actual output could be a little higher from what I've read. I'm looking to spend under $200. I like to have some "thump" but accuracy is far more important. I had a ID12d2v2 from about 5 years ago but that one's done. I have a 2006 KIA SPECTRA SX sedan. I have HAT Unity U-61 powered by an Arc Audio KS 300.2 amp I have a TREO RSX 1600 amp who is subless. TREO RSX 1600 312 x 1 @ 2 ohm 600 x 1 @ 1 ohm I am looking for a subwoofer that can handle Jazz music? I am not sure which subwoofer to go with that amp. I am not sure if I should do Fi Audio, Incriminator Audio SSA, Boston Acoustics, Image Dynamics or Arc Audio. I am looking for something for under $200 because of financial reasons. I am not sure if I woudl do sealed or ported plus I am not sure if I should go 10 or 12. Thank you.

From a lot of help from many folks here at SSA, M5, jim, neon and acidburn come to mind(thanks dudes), I decided to go active. I ordered my pio 880 here from SSA because in the end, i've been helped here more and would rather give my hard earned dollars to this place when they are an option. I will be deadening the whole vehicle at some point and doing the doors when I start on the speakers, I cant even figure out how to pop the doors off on this vehicle, and as it's cold as chit I haven't spent anytime on it yet.
