I'm looking to pick up a 10" for my blazer and two 8"s for a buddy's truck and these seem to fit the bill for our applications, but I can't seem to find any sound reviews from people on here. Has anybody demo'd them or heard them at all? I don't doubt the quality of them as they wouldn't be on SSA if they weren't of the highest quality, but I'm just curious about the SQ, particularly in a small/medium sealed box.

sorry just had to post how damn psyched I am now that the announcement has been made about the new driver sale. I knew it was coming any day now it had been too quiet around here. So now to just figure out 2 things: 1) how/where the hell I am pulling the cash out of my ass for new sub(s) after vacation next week. (hehe... it can be done) 2) do I stick with a single 15??? dual 12s??? or dual 15s???? but of course the whole point of this thread is... NEW SI SUBS ARE SOON TO BE HAD!!!

  7. what could have gone wrong? i dont have a subwoofer yet. i made a thread about that. and will be getting a subwoofer later but for now i just got the SPR 60C, alpine type R components the midbass is like gone. my cheapo stock speakers had slightly more midbass than these... they are powered by a pioneer amp, GM-D8604 what could be wrong? or are components supposed to have barely any bass whatsoever.... its pretty bad. the highs are very clear. a bit too harsh highs but when i set the headunit to EQ the bass up, the bass sounds bad, slight increase in bass, but pretty bad quality bass? The gain on the…

ok so i have a rockford fosgate power hx2 in a 4.6cuft ported at 40hz. my saz1500 is on its way to db-r for repair. well i got this sub bnib and the only amp i've had on it is a bazooka 500wrms mono. for like 2 months it was wired at 1ohm.well the amp is only 2 ohm stable and it decided it wasnt gonna except the 1ohm load anymore. so its at 4ohm now which would be around 250wrms. i've read and heard that u can underpower subs but read alot more that that is b.s. well the sub is rated at 300-1000wrms and i've been thinkin bout this alot. well i took my ol' lady to work earlier and im hearing what sounds like sumthing againts the box rattling. my box is mounted where my bac…

  10. Hi guys, I currently have two regular pioneer 10" shallow mount subs in the back of my dodge ram. i was planning on upgrading to the the premium pioneer 10"s ( the s4 model) this friday. I have a rocksford fosgate r500 d series amp. the old subs run at around 200-250 rms i belive, and the new ones would run at 300 rms. my amp pushes out 500 raw rms. i am not sure ( despite what they told me at the aduio shop) wether or not my amp will be enough to properly power the new subs. The guy says whenever he does a system with the preium pioneers he uses the r500 amp. However, i'd hate to upgrade only to see a minimal change in performance. does anyone have any kind of experience…

From a lot of help from many folks here at SSA, M5, jim, neon and acidburn come to mind(thanks dudes), I decided to go active. I ordered my pio 880 here from SSA because in the end, i've been helped here more and would rather give my hard earned dollars to this place when they are an option. I will be deadening the whole vehicle at some point and doing the doors when I start on the speakers, I cant even figure out how to pop the doors off on this vehicle, and as it's cold as chit I haven't spent anytime on it yet. Future plans also are to add a car-puter, and bass at some point I now need help again for going active with the drivers for the front stage. Right now I am …

so, my friend Jeremiah tells me that his brother in law Sean was throwing away some vintage 70s 15" pioneers, so I was like sweet drop that shit in your trunk, I'll give you a holla' in 4 to 5 hours. so about 5 hours later, I showed up at his house, he told me Sean had ripped the woofers up to keep people from taking em. well, they werent actually in bad shape ;o the mids and tweets are destroyed, nothing I cant get off parts express for 50$ or less, I was more interested in the 15s for sub use (5.1 stereo with integrated subwoofer amp, my 8 that came with it was sold right after I got my 18 so I could buy some wood for it XD ) cause frankly, a 200hz crossover point mean…

  20. I'm looking for a 12'' subwoofer to work well in a .7 to 1 cuft enclosure before speaker displacements. Getting about 1000RMS. I listen to a lot of 80% rap and 20% rock and possibly some techno here and there. I was aiming for a Fi Q 12 but i was told that there are subs around that work really well in small sealed enclosures. I want it to be as loud as possible. I also have had a RE SX 12 in a .6 sealed box after displacements. It did really well and sounded clean but it got pretty warm. I'm just exploring my options. Any feedback on woofers is greatly appreciated! Thanks

what differences would i notice with a 12 inch with these differnt box sizes, 1.0CF, 1.3CF, 1.5CF would i loose any sound quality or puchiness as i went bigger? i ask becuase i found a way to make a bit more space in my truck and as you all saw my box design in another post it ended up around 1.25CF after displacement. if you think it will make a "good" difference i can crank it up to about 1.3-1.4CF after displacement.

hello SSA goers...... today, i am wondering, what 2 10's, 212's, or 1 15 would be louder than 1 12" mtx 9500 but still in my price ranger? iv always owned kicker, mtx, rockford, but i want to try some of this "incriminator" audio or sundown or skar. i like trying new things but i figured id ask someone with experence. im having money issues and need a little cash so im selling both my 9500's ( 475 plus shipping) to get something a little smaller. if i get 2 10's or 2 12's of something, ill spend about 200 on each sub max. or if i go with 1 15, ill spend around 350-375. i have a '95 ford ranger ext. cab running a kicker zx1500.1 w/ 4 gauge wireing. i dont reallt have a box l…
