So when will the 187 be back in stock or the new version be released? I'm holding off on buying a Dcon in hopes I can get one of these. Should I hold my breath?

would 300 watts (the back half of a PDX 4.150) be enough to run one of these ?

I got 2 21" death penalty subs. Anybody got any recommended 4th order box designs. I got 24 cu ft to work with. I was thinking of doing each sub in 2.5 to 3 sealed and 9 ported. And tuning the ported section to around 50 to 55. Let me know if you got any other ideas. I am looking for some better Spl numbers on music. Dont need it to play much under 30hz. Most stuff I listen too is around 35 or higher.

im thinking about getting two of these. Twelve inch dual 4 ohms. Just a couple of questions about them. I always read about how people are raving about them, but they have a very small linear excursion compared to other woofers. Im not exactly a guru at car audio, but if a woofer has a larger excursion isn't it better able to produce the lowest frequencies? Also i have and saz-1000D so would i be over powering them too much, or are these woofers really under rated because i have read that they can handle a lot more. Anyways im either getting the woofers stated above, or the id12D4's. Which would you think would be better in your honest opinions. I have good self control …

Hi- This is for a daily driver, listening to all types of music. Amp will be a Sundown 3500D. I'm trying to decide on my new setup. I'm kind of on the fence between a Death Penalty or an SSA Xcon 15". My main concern is the flatness of the frequency response on the DP. Is it comparable to the Xcon? From what I've read the Xcon has a very flat frequency response, which is why I am considering it. I've been dreaming of getting DP's for a while now, but I may have to get Xcon's if they would sound better for music. Please let me know, Thanks all.

Alright, so I'm gonna build a wall in my integra with 2x IA DP 15's and 2x Sundown SAZ-3500D's @ 1ohm.... My question is this.... How will the Death Penalties hold up vs. 3,500+ watts rms to each of em? The box for both subs, is gonna be 8.255 NET vol.(after speaker displacement, port displacement , and bracing displacement ..... the port is gonna be 125.375" of port and tuned to 32.60hz.... I'm just curious how these subs will hold up? I'm gonna compete, but I'm also gonna daily drive, ground pound.... let me know what you think, and if you have had experience with this combo of sub vs. power??? Preciate it!!! Cheers

Single 21" death penalty, if I decide to do this I'd have Fisher Customs build me a box. What would you guys recommend as far as box size, tuning freq, port area? Looking for heavy lows so I was thinking 28-33hz. Going in the back of an extended cab F150, sub forward port up. Power will most likely be a Rockford T1500-1bd.

ok so basically my 15" death penalty doesnt work anymore i think the coil unwound or something. so im going to send it in to get reconed when i get my taxes. im thinking about getting it reconed as the 21" version. im planning on building a new box for it and i was wondering if anybody had any suggestions. the box i am looking at building as of right now is 40Wx33Dx16H it will have the vent and sub firing up and have a total volume of 9 cubes 8.6-8.75 after displacement. it will have a 3" wide vent that will be 38.5" long which will give me about 115 in^2 of port area and be tuned for 36.2 hz. ps it will be in a trunk. im am not sure if i should tune it lower or if 36 hz …

Just want to let everyone know the new LI's and DR's are all most finished from the R&D stages. We will be doing some testing and shortly after start production. Expect these 2 new line ups to release right after CES! LI's will be 600 RMS and the DR's will be 1000 RMS. I'm currently working to have the DP 18's available about the same time, with the 21's coming right after. I've even spent this past week working on a new SQ driver code named Firesail. Does SQ and IA go in the same sentence? I know SPL and SQL does......Hmmmm....Bring on the sealed boxes for once! Expect rated power to be in the 800-1000 range. No emails please, no other news at this point! Thanks, Ni…

i finished the install of two dp21's powered by two saz1500d's....all gains were set with a DMM for 1600 watts each(amps were each seeing a .5ohm load) my electrical is very good with a 250amp alt and 2 group 31's in rear and all 0/1ga.. now to my problem...i started to notice a slight rattle coming from the port...so i stuck my head in it and it was coming from one of the subs....there is no way that something could have gotten into the cooling on the sub,so thats out...i think it might be a coil unwinding but ive never had this happen so i dont know what it sounds like...i didnt get a chance to take the sub out to look at it before i left.

wondered what port area is normally used by the people with wardens, wanting to do some 8" aeros or 10" aeros but wanted an idea of the port area they like.. any pointers on this? Also would 10-11 cubes per work on the 21? 11 cubes before displacement of ports, but sub displacement is already factored in.

Im either going with RE or Incriminator (I know who the favorite is on here) Ill probably go with incriminator seeing as they are cheaper and RE is behind on production. Now im going to be putting them in an 04 cavalier and I want to retain the use of my spare and some of the trunk space so my question is. Do i go with a Death Row 15, or 2 Lethal Injection 12s. Im looking for whatever will be louder. I listen to mostly rock, and metal and rap every once in a while. Im pretty positive 2 12s will be louder, so If i did go the route would you guys recommend ported or sealed? I have a jbl 1200.1 to power the sub/subs btw
