I always hated when people made these threads but I honestly don't know where to start asking besides here. I am either going to buy 2 21" DPs or I will recone my BTL 18s into 21" dps, I just wanted to know if this could be done and how much it would be? I'm trying to figure out if it would be beneficial for me to just sell them and use the money to buy new 21s, or if I could save a bit and re-use the perfectly good motors (actually the entire sub is in perfect working condition). Please let me know if it can be done, and the pros/cons if possible. Thanks in advance for any help I can get!

I've read amazing things about the flatlyne but they seemed a little expensive. I realize there is a sale going on this month. I'm looking for an upgrade from my 10" type r in a sealed box. I couldn't find any specific enclosure recommendations for the flatlynes. I heard that they do really well as infinite baffle but i'm looking for something in a ported box. I figure the extra 2" of cone space, 250 more watts rms and professional built ported enclosure would be a nice upgrade.

Just wondering if their will be any available power options on the 21 dps when they are unleashed on the world?

Hi- So I finally took a video of my set up. It's a Lethal Injection 12" in a 2.5 ft^3 enclosure tuned to 32 hz on a Rockford Fosgate Punch 500-2 amp. Sorry the camera and my filming skills suck lol. Some day a pair of death penalties will be going in.

I recently purchased an IA 10.1 and a LI 12. Not only are they switching the dust cap for me at a small fee, they (Tricia) called UPS about my 10.1 delay and said its stuck on the trailer but after Tricia talked with them, it should be here Monday. Some of the best service I have ever received. Next up is I65C comps and a IA3.4. Can't say enough about the company.

I heard that as a rule of thumb, the port area should be about half of what the cone area in the box is. Is this a correct statement? Just seems like a lot of port to me. The box will be around 20 cubes after sub/port displacement, most likely a sub up port back setup. I will be using 2 DP 21"s on 4 JL 1000/1v2's in an 03 Expedition. Wanting to tune between 30 and 32 Hz.

Hello, I have a 40.1 that I purchased used and it played fine when I got it up until now. I played it for a long period of time with the car not running but I wasn't playing it loud. The amp goes straight into protect mode now and there was smoke coming out of it around the terminal blocks where the power and ground connect to the amp so I guess that the power supply is blown. Could you please give me a price quote on the repair and also send me the shipping address and the paypal information for the payment. Thanks in advance.

When strapping a pair of 40.1s do you have to change the phase of the slave amp?

I have 2 40.1's and I intend on strapping them since I will be running 6 15's. Now I did some math and I was only able to come up with this for 6 15's, series 6-D1 coils= .5ohm 6-D2 coils= .7ohm parallel 6-D1 coils= .125 6-D2 coils= .167 Someone please correct it if I'm wrong but I dont think I can strap the amps up in either formation.

so i have a sundown sae-1200dv2 and i am planning on buying a death row 15 or 18... would the death row be able to handle the 1200d?

Hi- I'm getting new subs for my daily driver next summer, most like 2 dp's (not sure which size yet). I am considering either 2 sundown 1500d's or 1 sundown 3000d. I have a 120 amp alt, a D34/78 optima in the front, a bat cap 400 in the back, and the big three done in 0 awg. I want to keep the same alt, how many/what type of batteries would I need? Thanks

Any chance the Flatlyne 15s will come in Dual 1 or Dual 4 ohm any time in the near future?

I want to do round ports on this next box but I am running into problems of how many I can fit. My numbers look about like this, 17.4 cu ft after all displacements 3 10" round ports 18 or 18.5 (can't remember exact) which is ported right around 35 hz. My main consern is will 3 10" ports be enogh port? Thanks for the help
