hey guys to make this simple i will just use the 80 sq ft amount even though i will need tons more..so here it is..would you rather do 80sq ft of the d-PRO for $289.87 OR 160sq ft of the d-regular for $374.40 being that the PRO is thicker and theroically need less layers then the regular..which would you rather choose? also this amount would all get used in 1 area the roof..so dont base your opinions on picking the regular because you will have some left over for other areas because it all will get used on the roof

Do you have old asphalt deadener(roofing material) that you need to remove before installing a quality butyl rubber sound deadener like Damplifier Pro? So I'm trying to sound deaden my moms 2009 or 10 (it's the newer body style) Honda CRV to kill road noise. She commutes 1-4 hours a day (mostly highway) and hates the road noise. This car is horrible! Ultimately she doesnt care about stereo or thermal insulation, she just wants a quieter ride. I was under the impression that the floor would make the biggest difference, so I used ~80 sq ft of damp pro on the entire floor, spare tire area, as high up on the firewall as I could get, and some on the back hatch. Also did the back quarterpanels I believe they are called (above the rear wheel wells) and stuffed the huge open cavities with several yards of fiberglass. The result…

What is you put damplifer pro behind every wall in you house and made it leak proof? Sounds expensive but if you were able to pull it off wouldn't it make your house dead silent and possibly more fire resistant?

About 6 months ago we had I decided to start working with a new chemical formulation company to increase the performance and the value of damplifier and damplifier Pro. After we analyzed everything, we found a few key spots to work on. With Performance in mind, we wanted to get better results with less material and less work for our customers. Less material usually mean less performance though; Thinner foil = less vibration damping. Thinner butyl = less vibration damping. After winning the contest hosted on another forum a few weeks ago I received a door kit of Damplifier Pro, as well as a Fury knife and wooden roller (Thanks)! I also ordered a spray gun and 2 gallons of Spectrum because I wanted to put at least 2 coats of deadener on all 4 doors. The kit includes 8 sheets that total 13sqft, I need at least 6 ft of mat to cover each door. I used the mat on the large flat outer skin, and spectrum as an additional layer and the coating for the inside panel. Well first i gotta thank Ant and everyone at secondskin for giving me this opportunity to install this top of the line product! Personally i have had experience with just regular damplifier on my friends trailblazer, stuff worked wonders and fixed the annoying rattle he had in his roof.
