well I talked my wife into letting me order some deadener so I went with SSA I am not real excited about installing it so I will make my son do most of it after I rip everything out and redo the system. I am excited to listen to the difference in sound though. I even went as far as putting new good year wrangler silent armor tires on too just to get it quit on the highway. Ant is awesome to deal with so far as well. Thats all I have for now. Z

hey guys to make this simple i will just use the 80 sq ft amount even though i will need tons more..so here it is..would you rather do 80sq ft of the d-PRO for $289.87 OR 160sq ft of the d-regular for $374.40 being that the PRO is thicker and theroically need less layers then the regular..which would you rather choose? also this amount would all get used in 1 area the roof..so dont base your opinions on picking the regular because you will have some left over for other areas because it all will get used on the roof

  8. What is you put damplifer pro behind every wall in you house and made it leak proof? Sounds expensive but if you were able to pull it off wouldn't it make your house dead silent and possibly more fire resistant?

Thinking of starting a long process of putting a system in my 07' Altima. I was wondering how much deadener would I need to put one layer in the cabin of the car (floor board, 4 doors and trunk)? Gonna start puttting away some money for this before I even begin putting speakers and such. Thanks!!!

  14. Sometimes people go the cheap route and pay the price in hard labor and wasted money!!! Here is a little story straight from the mouth of one of our newest and soon to be life long customers!!! "I present you a bouquet of bulls**t sound deadener. It smells like someone is getting a new roof inside this cab haha. Now to get the sticky gooey s**t off too. Fun fun fun" #macsgarage559 It is horrible to see people having to scrape, freeze, and torch a big mistake out of their build. Ask around, do some research and choose a product that is going to work the correct way and perform the job it is engineered to do...demand a high-quality American made butyl product for …

So I am doing a completely new door setup. The inner skin to which the speaker is normally mounted to will be cut out. I am basically going to fiberglass a completely new door panel that will act as a sealed pod that will bolt on to the sides of the door. My question is how do I go about deadening this since the speakers will be housed in their own fiberglass enclosure? This was my approach. Let me know what you think. I was going to deaden the actual steel door with a layer of damplifier then glue a layer of luxury liner ontop of that. I would then bolt in the fiberglassed pod. Inside the pod I would glue on a layer of overkill. Does that sound about right? I want some …

So I'm trying to sound deaden my moms 2009 or 10 (it's the newer body style) Honda CRV to kill road noise. She commutes 1-4 hours a day (mostly highway) and hates the road noise. This car is horrible! Ultimately she doesnt care about stereo or thermal insulation, she just wants a quieter ride. I was under the impression that the floor would make the biggest difference, so I used ~80 sq ft of damp pro on the entire floor, spare tire area, as high up on the firewall as I could get, and some on the back hatch. Also did the back quarterpanels I believe they are called (above the rear wheel wells) and stuffed the huge open cavities with several yards of fiberglass. The result…

Like the planets aligning and blue moons, it's rare but when it happens it's pretty amazing and once again we bring you a great deal that wont be here forever... B-Stock Damplifier Pro! B-Stock Damplifier Pro is the same quality butyl and sports the same 6.5 mil foil as Damplifier and Damplifier Pro. The only thing inconsistent about this product is the thickness of the butyl, which will range from slightly thinner than Damplifier to around the thickness of Damplifier Pro. For B-Stock material, you will NOT be disappointed! B-Stock material is being sold in 30 sq. ft. packs for $119.99! Please keep in mind... - There are no returns on this product. - There are no refunds …

Approx how much does one go through on an SUV? SPL application, I'm looking at 2 layers of Damplifier on the floor and Pro over that, and 2 layers of Pro under the headliner and in the doors. Figured I'd need about 140-160sq ft ... I'll be buying 20-30ft extra - got some other cars to do, but also the speaker tweaker kits for all my doors (RE XXX's ...) and Overkill on top of the doors. Or is that too much deadener? ... I'll be pushing mid-150db's and 7-10kw ... I'm a broke college student, doing this and running my 3/0 and RCA's at once so I want to make sure I don't have to tear this apart again!!! Oh the car is a Trailblazer, approx same size as a Burban

Someone recommended Second Skin Speaker Tweakers to me to improve the sound out of the speakers in my doors http://www.audiojunkies.com/product/120/second-skin-speaker-tweaker-kit-reviews . Do you guys still make these? I checked the website and I couldn't find them. I'm already gonna get a bunch of Damplifier Pro for my doors and I was curious about these. Thanks in advance.

  25. So, i've been sound deadening for weeks... honestly. The weather changes everyday. Well anyways, i'm pretty close to being done with my Scion tC. For kicks, i show people just how much this stuff works. I have been applying 3 layers of Damplifier everywhere. When i applied it to the walls in the back seat area, i would go outside of the car and bang on the car, super stiff! No resonation or hollow sounds at all! I am now working on the rear hatch walls. I had got done doing the driver's side and banged on it from the outside and stiff as can be. I just got done with the passenger side wall today and when i went outside to bang on it... it sounds like i havent even put an…
