For those of you who don't know, we are now stocked and ready to ship the B-Stock Damplifier Pro again! This product is like the regular Damplifier Pro, except the foil tends to be wrinkled or scratched, and the thickness tends to vary between 1.5mm and 2.5mm. Because of this, it is substantially discounted, but there's only a limited quantity so it's only here until it's gone. If you're in the market for some sound deadening, take advantage of this deal while it's here: http://store.secondskinaudio.com/b-stock/

So I'm trying to sound deaden my moms 2009 or 10 (it's the newer body style) Honda CRV to kill road noise. She commutes 1-4 hours a day (mostly highway) and hates the road noise. This car is horrible! Ultimately she doesnt care about stereo or thermal insulation, she just wants a quieter ride. I was under the impression that the floor would make the biggest difference, so I used ~80 sq ft of damp pro on the entire floor, spare tire area, as high up on the firewall as I could get, and some on the back hatch. Also did the back quarterpanels I believe they are called (above the rear wheel wells) and stuffed the huge open cavities with several yards of fiberglass. The result…

I have an 07 Yaris Hatchback and I am most likely going to put a 10" sub in the back. I am thinking 10w7, but maybe a w6 or something slightly less expensive. How should I deaden my hatch, if at all? Could someone shade the pic where I should put deadning material? I know ideally I would do it all over, but I'm trying to limit how much of my car gets torn apart The front doors will already be deadened.

So, i've been sound deadening for weeks... honestly. The weather changes everyday. Well anyways, i'm pretty close to being done with my Scion tC. For kicks, i show people just how much this stuff works. I have been applying 3 layers of Damplifier everywhere. When i applied it to the walls in the back seat area, i would go outside of the car and bang on the car, super stiff! No resonation or hollow sounds at all! I am now working on the rear hatch walls. I had got done doing the driver's side and banged on it from the outside and stiff as can be. I just got done with the passenger side wall today and when i went outside to bang on it... it sounds like i havent even put an…

Well first i gotta thank Ant and everyone at secondskin for giving me this opportunity to install this top of the line product! Personally i have had experience with just regular damplifier on my friends trailblazer, stuff worked wonders and fixed the annoying rattle he had in his roof. Now on to my damplifer pro, first time i put it in was on the roof and on the floor of my trunk, just by doing that it got rid of ALOT of road noise and my roof is solid as a rock now. Then tonight i had the time to install the rest, and decided to do my doors, took awhile but man was it worth it. Immediately after putting everything back together i noticed how much better my door speaker'…

A while back, Casey and Buzz form floridaspl.com did a nice video of Damplifier Pro and Lxury Liner Pro. It was pretty impressive so I sanctioned them to do all the videos for the Second Skin website. We have about 20 more to do, but here are the first 2. Thoughts? In case you are wondering where you recognize Buzz from, he used to be the host on the Speed channels show Truck U ANT

Sometimes people go the cheap route and pay the price in hard labor and wasted money!!! Here is a little story straight from the mouth of one of our newest and soon to be life long customers!!! "I present you a bouquet of bulls**t sound deadener. It smells like someone is getting a new roof inside this cab haha. Now to get the sticky gooey s**t off too. Fun fun fun" #macsgarage559 It is horrible to see people having to scrape, freeze, and torch a big mistake out of their build. Ask around, do some research and choose a product that is going to work the correct way and perform the job it is engineered to do...demand a high-quality American made butyl product for …

The awesome guys at Colorado Car Audio just finished a sweet Dodge Ram 3500 Pro Master Van build with full sound and heat insulation along with a stereo upgrade and the work is very nice!!! They applied Spectrum and Damplifier Pro CLD to all of the metal to kill vibration noise and help with heat transfer through the metal. They used Luxury Liner Pro MLV+CCF next to block out unwanted airborne noise and thermally insulate the walls. And they used Mega Zorbe Hydrophobic Melamine Foam to absorb sound and thermally insulate the roof of this huge van!!! When the proper layers are applied to the correct locations, a huge difference in noise level reduction can be ach…

I'm an audiophile, I also happen to compete in SPL as well. So over the next few months I will be posting some before and after video's and pictures of Second Skin in some of my different builds. I had some laying around from last year and I just re-did my front speakers in my winter beater so I tossed ~12 sq feet on each door today as well as installing a pair of Hertz deici co-axials. A night and day difference from where I was at. As soon as I find my camera I will post some pics, plus it's night time now.

I am getting ready to built my next system and want to know what people think about deadening a sealed trunk? This is in a 99 Honda Acoord(Think pop can)and I will be forward firing my Fi BTL 15" and sealing the trunk off. I will be doing Second Skin Damplifer floor, doors(inner and outer), pillars, back deck and ceiling. I will probly also be doing Luxury liner Pro(luxury liner min.). I am getting ready to built the box inside the trunk. I had planed on a single layer of Damplifer inside the trunk for good measure before building the box as I won't be able to take it back out. I already have the Damplifer and will probly do a single layer just to know my trunk isn't ratt…

Lately in Dallas, TX we have been having 100-108 degree days this past two weeks and I notice that my car stays hot and attracts heat since it is all black. The car is a 2003 Saturn Ion and the hood is 56" x 36" so after doing some research I can up with some better understanding of how I wanna go about this process. I plan on buying two sheets of Heat Wave Pro or Motor Mat Pro(which one would be better?) and just use the extra heat wave for the top of my reat deck in my car to keep a little less heat from that area since my amps will be mounted under their which probably wont help but oh well. I see that it recommends that I lay Damplifier Pro to the hood first and then …
