i have a 2004 Chevy Blazer 2 door. my Bosch battery did fine when i was funning a little 300 watt system not long ago but i recently upgraded and am pulling over 1200 watts rms between my mono block and 4 channel. i want to run one single battery right now but will eventually run a second or more in the trunk area. What would you suggest for me? i'm looking at the d3400.. its a tight squeeze but i can make it work. is this a good idea?

Will an xs power d1200 work as a good starting battery and power my 1000w rms system? It will have 0 guage to the alt and the ground plus 2 gauge to the amplifier.

I personally feel that people that run their charging system (12v) at 15.6-16.1v using the MLA module are crazy, but i dont know how to explain i to them. I have a few friends using it and i worry that they are overcharging their batteries, is it the right thing to do, or should they go another route such as using an external reg alt to charge @ 14.9 like i saw in another post in this forum Thanks -Robin

I plan on running a relatively high power setup. Two Warden 18's @ .7ohm (dual .7 series, then parallel) on a SAZ-4500D, a SAX-100.4 and a 50.4. Now what would be better for Park-and-play? I was planning on (3) D3100's plus a yellow/blue top under the hood and (2) 200A alts, or a single 300-350A. Would the (3) D3100's be good for reserve? Or should i get a higher number of smaller/lighter batteries? I would think while parked, i would keep it idling, but not having to is a plus. Thanks, -Chris

So, I was wondering if you could post your full line of lithium batteries on here. I am also curious of how many 12v versions you have and/or may be developing in the future. I know lithium batts are very particular in regards to were there voltage levels need to be, so with that said, how do these fit into a car audio setting? What if any, testing have you done? I wouldnt mind possibly running several in my truck if the benefits would be worth it. Thank you

Hi, I'm planning to do the big3 upgrade this week end, but I would like to have a secondary battery in my trunk. I don't know the size of my stock alternator, but I don't want to change it. I have 2 amplifiers with around 1200 watts rms. Someone here, told me that it would not be really good to buy a Honda civic size battery for either secondary or primary battery. What should I chose? It is not to play with the engine off for long time, just to have a little more power. What do you think? a secondary one (whicv one), or just a big primary one (which one) ? Thanks for your help. BTW : I have a XS batt dealer in my country, and he is really into caraudio!

As of right now I have a Mechman 270 and two optima red tops under the hood in stock locations. Big 3 done also. I am dropping into 11's on full tilt at idle and mid 12's while driving. I was originally going to replace both red tops up front with the two d3400's which I think would be fine for my power (3600watts roughly) but was wondering should I leave the Redtops up front and put the d3400's in the rear and run wire directly from my alt to those that way they don't pull from the red tops and they are dedicated to the system? Is this a option or should I just stay with my original plan running both up front. Thanks

I will be currently running around 3000 rms in a saturn ion with stock alternator (105 amps) until i find a high output alternator for my car. Right now i am planning on running 2 xstatic batcap 2000's(one as the primary batter and one as the secondary battery), i already know people are going to talk down on the 2000's so let me have it. what would be some good xs power battery choices. the primary battery opening is between 11-12"s and the secondary spot is under 11"s, my battery compartment is in my trunk and is exaclty the same as the one on this page just for a visual (http://www.saturnspot.com/f19/been-updating-system-again-29848.html). appreciate the help and opini…

Oh how many times have I been asked that question. I wouldn't still have to be working if I had a $1 for each time I have read "all batteries are the same" on the forums. In the past I have been able to tell you the differences, and post up info on the differences......................... but now...................... I get to post up video and show some informative videos that will help you make your decisions on which batteries to purchase. I hope that these videos will allow you to make a more informed decision when you make your next purchase. Lets face it XS Power batteries are expensive and there are a lot of companies out there that are cheaper and claim to provide…

Say I have a group of rear batteries near my amps, but I also of course tie in with the front of the car. At the front of the car is a factory 175A alternator, and a stock group 65 battery. How do I figure how much current I could draw from that area so I can run the appropriate wiring. Also I'll be replacing the front battery with an xspower D6500, I want to run the wire that will support that and the alternator instead of doing that later, so I guess maybe the factory battery doesn't really matter in this, but I'd still like to figure out if what I have now is even a bottleneck currently. Waiting for some new amps to arrive and while that goes on I'm doing everything I …

Ok, from what i understand, in most applications you wire your batteries in parallel rather than series because series will turn 2 12 volt batteries into a 24 volt battery correct? Why parallel though? in theory wouldn't that turn 2 12 volt batteries into a 6 volt battery then? From what i have found, parallel doesnt change voltage but does change the capacity. This is what makes no sense to me because under every law of electronics i've learned, you would be halving the voltage. thanks for any info. this isn't an important question that is dire to a job, its just something i've been curious about and no one can give me a straight answer as to why i'm "wrong" for think…

It will be roughly 6 weeks till I graduate and if I can't find a job, I will be keeping my car for a bit. I would like to replace the huge G31 battery with a better charging system to cut down on the weight. Can Powermaster make one to fit my needs? I really don't know how much longer the stock one is going to last. Thanks!
