Please do take a moment to read this topic and not just look at the pictures, as some of the photos will not make sense if you skip over what I try to say. I am few days behind on getting this pictures posted up, but life and all that goes with it has been in the way. Anyway, a MASSIVE thank you goes out to Don at http://www.Sounddeadenershowdown.com. I had initially hoped to use the SDS product line on the little Mazda with Don's guidance, but he went far and away above the call of duty and took 3, yes 3, very long work days out of his schedule to help me along the way. This was an excellent learning experience for me in terms of the physics of how the acoustics effe…

Cory and I where sitting around thinking of some funny stuff to come up with our upcoming video's at competitions. We came up with a few funny ending lines that will be spoken out and typed on screen as our TeamSSA disclaimer. Read through what we have, then perhaps think a few funny things yourselves, and we'll add them if they are good enough. Here we go... #1. Team SSA is not responsible for you blowing up your equipment while trying to keep pace with Team SSA. #2. Team SSA is not responsible for your girlfriend dumping you for another and/or multiple Team SSA members. #3. Team SSA does not supply kleenex, so please bring your own. #4. Team SSA is not responsible fo…

Lets get this build log started! I was debating a new build back in October, but with the haunt and buying the new building, well I had to put it off until now. What funded this build was, in my very little free time I clean saltwater aquariums and have been saving that money for a few months. I was undecided which way I wanted to go, but after talking to Aaron I decided to go with SSA subs. I have never been part of the team until now, but I have always promoted SSA in a positive manor. I decided on 2 18" XCONS sealed. The box is 54"x22"x22.75" total net vol after disp and bracing is about 11.6 cubes. Now for the pictures and yes this may be picture heavy.

This build is a long time in the making. Car 1969 Pontiac Firebird completely customized. Ready for paint and interior. The car has crazy horsepower and I will post those things at a later time as things get finished. As for the audio we are doing as many SSA products as we can. I have some pictures and will post more as I get them. This is not my car, but a very good friend who I known since he was very little. Currently the equipment is as follows unless Aaron can get the SSA amps in a timely manor for the install. US Acoustics Barbara Ann which will power 4 Evil mids and 2 Evil tweeters. Us Acoustics Mike with will power 10" Icon. Power support will…

When the F8L 8" subwoofer first was announced, I knew I had to try one right away. I asked my good friend Bruce (wrench guy) for some help building this enclosure. We went with the recommendations that SSA lists on the website: 0.55 cubes @ 31hz (after displacement) Mounting Depth: 6.5" The plan was for this box to be able to be moved from vehicle to vehicle for testing purposes. I would also like to bring it inside and hooked up to my home stereo for music purposes. So the boxed had to be light (birch) and is painted with bed liner material for durability.

Decided to buy a W201 chassis Mercedes Benz, it was cheap and in nice condition so I had to do it. What is wrong with another car, right? The day I bought it, did not like the wheels at all. They are from a mid 2000's E class. Check out that interior color: I found some stock pie plate wheels and put some new tires on for the winter: Previous owner did ruin the dash: Previous owner added some bass, these are two spare tire woofers from a mid 2000s Mazda: That is it for now, kicks have been sent off to get done because th…

So I found a deal on this solid 2005 Cadillac Escalade I could not pass up, and rather then waiting another two years for the body work to be finished on my 2 door Tahoe, I decided in the interest of Bass I transfer all mods from the Tahoe over to the SSAQUALADE. Equipment Will be as follows: IA 80.1 x 2 @ 16V IA 6.4 x 2 EVIL 18" x 6 (this may change depending on my end decision) EVIL 6.5" Mid Bass x (12?) XS Power D1600 x 20 (ish) XS Power D3400 under the hood Mechman E370 x 2 @16V Mechman G240 x 1 @ 12V A whole bunch of wire and other goodies to be added when that time comes.... So here are some photos of work done so …

I just started on the new design for my build. There's a few new details like new stainless accents, completely new enclosure design, and a new Mechman H/O alternator. Here's a few pix of what I've done so far: New bracket to hold the inline fuse under the hood. (10ga. 304 stainless steel) New front battery top strap. (10ga. 304 stainless steel) This could only mean one thing............. Common chamber for 2~15" Icon D1 - 8cf. @ 27hz I'll keep chugging away (weather permitting) and snappin' pix as I go. It's supposed to rain all weekend here so very little will happen in the next few days. The alternator should be here next week sometime.

Josh White, is the only SSA employee to date, and has been building this tahoe for a few months, the following video is the first time playing it, it's on about 1/3rd power in the video. I'll post up build photos shortly to go along with it... Josh White from SSA just got the tahoe up and running on low power. We are very pleased with the results so far. Breaks a 150db @ 26hz! Plays the lows with authority.

Starting to get this build under way. Very simple as it is my wife's car and she uses the trunk for her business. I am adding 2 DCON 10" subs to her factory JBL green edge system. The box is going to be straight foward sealed and small so it can be moved and removed when needed.

As most fathers know there are many milestones in life one of which is buying your son or daughter their first car. I recently purchased my daughter her first car and after I am happy with the with the overall car handling and performance, she will be getting a nice little system. Just like my 4 runner this car will get the works so when somebody drives it they ask its the milage correct. Here are a couple pics to get this going.

2007 Chevrolet Cobalt Sedan Equipment: SSA XCON D1 10" Subwoofer powered by two Zed Minilith's strapped @ 2 ohm. Mach 5 MLI 6.5" mids with LPG 25NFA tweeters powered by a Zed Draconia. Pioneer 2300 DVD. SDS products. The Mach5s are crossed over from 60hz up to 2000hz. The LPGs are from 2000hz and up. I can not be more happy with how this pair sounds. They blend very well together. This build is still a work in progress. I have everything except the Miniliths, which are on their way. I will continue to add pictures and updates as work is completed. Some starting pictures. The car: Car did not come with a center console, so I bought one. Sound Deadening Process. I woul…
