Team SSA

When the F8L 8" subwoofer first was announced, I knew I had to try one right away. I asked my good friend Bruce (wrench guy) for some help building this enclosure. We went with the recommendations that SSA lists on the website: 0.55 cubes @ 31hz (after displacement) Mounting Depth: 6.5" The plan was for this box to be able to be moved from vehicle to vehicle for testing purposes. I would also like to bring it inside and hooked up to my home stereo for music purposes. So the boxed had to be light (birch) and is painted with bed liner material for durability.

One of our competitotrs on teamssaudio Mike Diquattrio just burbed his stock xcons for the first time on a Audio Control 6000. I believe he's running 20k watts on two XCON 15" D2s. And yes I know it not a termlab, but here's the numbers he got so far with no tunning. Once I get more pics and vid's i'll post them up. I guess this "SQ" driver can get loud after all

So I found a deal on this solid 2005 Cadillac Escalade I could not pass up, and rather then waiting another two years for the body work to be finished on my 2 door Tahoe, I decided in the interest of Bass I transfer all mods from the Tahoe over to the SSAQUALADE. Equipment Will be as follows: IA 80.1 x 2 @ 16V IA 6.4 x 2 EVIL 18" x 6 (this may change depending on my end decision) EVIL 6.5" Mid Bass x (12?) XS Power D1600 x 20 (ish) XS Power D3400 under the hood Mechman E370 x 2 @16V Mechman G240 x 1 @ 12V A whole bunch of wire and other goodies to be added when that time comes.... I was just curious as to what is needed to "join" team SSA. Any perks? Just wondeing what its all about.

We'll since our third line (xcons) are coming out soon... we are about to up the anti with everything SSA, new shirts, hats, stickers, three sub lines, and a fresh new team. This Domain name will be dedicated for the Team SSA members. We are going to do a full out website for them in honor of their efforts. We will not have an exclusive team like before, it will be more for having fun and spreading the word more then anything. More like sundown's team, where everyone has fun and is proud of the product that they run. Some equipment discounts will be given to team members, and a "contract" will be given out as well as the terms of the membership. Just giving everyone…

I'll be there, who's going?

I'm seriously thinkn about organizing and having a few shows here in AZ in the cooler months like aug, sept, oct..there's no dbdrag anywhere down here, and i've spoke with wayne harris about it, he thinks it's a great idea since there's nthing in a 200 mile radius for this. what are your thoughts? also this would mean getting a team together in this area.

Josh White, is the only SSA employee to date, and has been building this tahoe for a few months, the following video is the first time playing it, it's on about 1/3rd power in the video. I'll post up build photos shortly to go along with it... Josh White from SSA just got the tahoe up and running on low power. We are very pleased with the results so far. Breaks a 150db @ 26hz! Plays the lows with authority.

Here's a few pics of the truck and other random things in their shop... and yes, this truck is deff a work in progress. This place produces some crazy builds...

You guys need to make some posters so I can hang them up in my dorm lol. I need a poster of the xcon 18s lol. I am about to run a giant SSA sticker across the wall.

im building a wall for 4 xcon 18s ill have about 27 cu ft. and i want to do 2 ports on each side any ideas
