I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but mine still look brand new. I've seen a few guys complain about the leads. I still have the original cones. Even after multiple multiple multiple 160+ burps. I've yet to find a problem. Maybe I know when to turn the volume down, maybe because my amps are set clean, maybe I don't have enough power. It's funny though because after hearing about these issues others were having, I got scared and ordered a spare recone. Still new in the box. Thanks Quentin.

I have a 99 yukon denali (aka tahoe) that I want to upgrage to 4 dss ethos 18s. I currently have 6 xfl 12s on 7k in a 12.2 cube net box. I have about 7 inches of space between the port and the back door. Do you think I can get 4 18s in this space or should I stick with going 4 15s? Currently I have my batteries and 2 amps behind the back seats as well.

Got a few samples today of some material we plan on testing to see if it offers any advantages in heat transfer in motors, and if it has any value as a faraday ring. The silver pieces are aluminum and the copper colored is copper.

Hey Q, just as an heads up. I'm not really sure if this is because of the first batch of spiders you've received or not. I just know it's kind of been an common thing now, at least between the subs I've owned, along with others I've communicated with. When you move the spiders in an up and down rotation, one at a time, you hear this funny noise. It's not audible during play, and it's not with every subwoofer. Two new drivers coming this fall. 1) Trident. The first transducer ever brought to market with three gaps. With an Re or 1.6 and a BL of 20.75 it will be one of the stoutest 3 inch non neo driver on the market. It's time to start working on amps for future availability so I need to figure out what features that need to go into the product so I can have samples developed. The amp part is easy, it just needs to amplify input signal. We are gonna let a DSP do all the hard work. This means NO crossover networks in my amps. Only a knob for gain matching. Just needed to show a few pics of some recent recones that were done on the Ethos. I'll let Quentin give any details if he chooses to, but I put a slight personal touch to them and feel that I'm pretty good at laying down a bead of glue here or there. Plus, I needed a reason to take pics with this LG G3. It has friggin laser aiming.

My first impression, was holy shit these are heavy! I had help, but carrying four of those bastards up to the apartment on the second floor was extremely heavy on the back Lmao. The suspension seems very stiff right now, not 300 pound man can sit on it stiff, but pretty stiff. The assembly seems very well built. No excessive glue, all magnets are aligned, the packaging omg the packaging! Definitely check all corners on that. Coil looks nice and shiny, and the leads seem to be also in top notch shape as well. All in all, everything seems great as far as visual is concerned.

Well I have had the car for a few weeks now and I'm really missing the low end. I was discouraged after looking at the trunk because it looked much smaller than my I30 and I had just assumed that the enclosure that I had for the 15" Ethos would not fit. Turns out for once I got lucky and it fit in the trunk like it was made for it! Here is the car it will be going in sitting next to my other baby... And the enclosure that has been collecting dust for months that fit in perfectly... I am working on an install for my buddy. I am looking at enclosure options for two Ethos 12" powered by a Crescendo BC2000D. The goals of the sub system is to sound good and be loud, should be easy Will 3 cubes net tuned to 32hz with a 6" aero port work well with two Ethos 12" powered by a BC2000D? BTW this is going in a late model Civic.
