  1. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/ Look under the subwoofers tab and purchase one from here or you can email Jacob and get one, it doesnt matter.
  2. u can always underpower, infact when you say you dont listen to your current setup at full tilt is just like putting less power to the subs. no sub requires a minimum amount of power for it to produce music. ppl that say you need atleast x amount of watts for it to sound good are just full shit... just match your subs resistance (ohms) with that amp that you got, unless u rather sell that and get something more reliable...
  3. list ur goals besides that and what its going in other things what type of music u listen to so people around here will know a lil more trust me i learned the hard way. but from what ur saying if im not mistaken a fully loaded fi btl will but ive never dealt with one so get someone else to confirm that
  4. Its good to allow for 100A of current for every 1,000W of power you plan to run. Keep in mind the most cars will need about 50A to power the vehicle's electronics, so for anything over 1,500W-2,000W, we would recommend a 250A alternator. In many occasions more than one alternator may be required to continuously power a stereo at 14V at full volume.

It changes the polarity of the driver, or in simple terms, changes the way the cone moves .

so i jsut put this thread on my favorites bar! next time i see someone asking i will use this as reference!!
  7. Those could work well. What mounting locations? What processing? And IMO a 3 way passive that wasn't designed IN CAR isn't worth doing. If you want 3 way in your car you NEED to do it actively.
  8. Yes the amps will run fine at 6 or 8 ohms. You can always go higher in impedance for amps, just not lower. They'll just put out less power, but most of the time those 6/8 ohm speakers are more efficient than the 4 ohm ones, so you don't lose any output. There is a big difference between active and passive if you know what you're doing or at least have the motivation to play with it.
  9. box volume will affect loudness. Just because it's tuned to the same frequency doesn't mean that the new box will peak at the same frequency as the smaller box before. Larger boxes also don't handle as much power as smaller.

give me a rep, The best thing i like about forums, especially ones i actually help on rather than get help is helping every single person i possibly can in hopes those people attain the knowledge to help those who used to be in their shoes... IT is at this point that the forum as a whole will be more educated and, in their own experiences, share information with all of us in hopes that experienced users may gain new information and then help us, again, to learn more. Educating the right person will help others learn even faster. Knowledge is power and sharing is what keeps it going.

I can't mention other forums now? Mind showing me in the TOS where it says this? Mind showing me any rule I broke deserving deletion? Maybe I shouldn't recommend any products that SSA doesn't sell? Would that make you happy? I've got a better idea. I'm off to places where being a sheep isn't required... If you'd like some lessons on how to raise an army of sycophants, I'm sure Ben Milne could give you some pointers, but it seems like you're off to a good start on your own. Good luck with that.

You should post pictures over on Forceaudio. Wink wink, nudge nudge. There's still a couple gremlins in the PHP, I think, but posting should be working again, along with new user sign ups...
