Thanks to SSA I found the SPL league i love and compete in every weekend (NESPL), also for lots technical info and advice I found here helping in my quest to be loud. Hit my 1st 150 (150.4 to be exact) in my rookie season and gained 12 db. This is a premier car audio site and has helped exspand my knowledge base by alot. Just wanted to thank the owners and technical team here as well as fellow forum members. I am a better competetor because I am a member of SSA. -Bill
  2. BL motor is actually a shade stronger... Just a fyi.
  3. I'll get it started, even though it's a repoast:
  4. SSF needs to be 2-3Hz below the tuning of the enclosure.
  5. I really didnt have to many problems, you just need to do some math to figure out how much material needs to be removed when you have for instance a 3" outer diameter and 2.25" inner diameter (because of 3/4 mdf) use formulas for circumfrence, if you are only doing a 90 degree bend then divide the circumference by 4. I did 11 cuts at half inch intervals leaving about 3/32 of material, you have to work the wood back and forth and go from there...

You do not have to use that glue. Go to home depot and get loctite 15 minute epoxy...works fantastic. All you do is put the epoxy on the spider landing and surround landing and put a little bit of weight on the cone to hold everything down. Put the gasket back around the edge of the surround so it is held down. I've built many many many recones with that epoxy

  10. Hi guys. I have the above amp and have blown the power supply. The problem is we need to rebuild the power supply but because it blew pretty badly, I cant identify the values so just wondered if any one could help me out with a diagram or a nice detailed close up picture of the power suppy side so I can repair it. I have looked hard on the net but cant find one. I really want to save the amp and not have to buy another one so if any one can help, then please do. Also, Im located in the UK so there is no chance of me sending it back to the US for repair as I can get it done here or I would have if I lived in the US. Thanx
