Their difference in power would likely be small and definitely inaudible. The real question you should ask when picking between these two amps is which amp is more reliable? And to that I'd likely answer the former.

  3. I just heard 2 10'inch icons on 800 watts and dam they bang, not sure how deep they are.
  4. Someone voted this post down. That seemed unnecessary so I evened it back up...
  5. No disrespect to SSA, but I removed the logos because it looks alot better in my box all black.

You call me "so critical over nothing" yet ironically you're the one who ran to the internet to laugh at a guy for mispronouncing the name of a product. Because he's a competitor, he's supposed to be aware of every product available? He probably just competes in smaller shows where the lesser known brands aren't prominent. Stop being so critical over nothing.
  7. My man bits are swollen to a degree I haven't been able to achieve since I was 16. Great job! I day dream about having something with so much awesome inside.

I've never really understood why people think it's so funny when someone mispronounces the name of some small internet company they've never heard of before. I'm sure you've mispronounced names of companies, products and people you were unfamiliar with all throughout your life. I doubt those people ran off and made a post on an internet forum about it.
  9. love this build too death. on page 2 in the 17th picture is that a volkswagen corrado?
  10. This is one of the problems with companies providing specs like this, THD is one of those specs that people pay alot of attention to not realizing that even if it were 5-10% you still wouldn't be able to hear it.
  11. Why wouldn't people recommend the 1500 watt version for the XCON? Just because it's rated for 250 watts below the XCON's RMS? You think that 250 watts matters (not taking into account the sundown is underrated)? They are solid amps that will last. They aren't Legacy or Pyle POSs. Plus they are recommended so much because they have a forum on this board. So people here know the products well and you can talk to the owner easily, as he posts often.
  12. Both woofers are designed for different purposes. What are your goals?
  13. Fatmat is asphalt if I recall correctly, which makes it an automatic no. If you're interested in sound deadening products, the first place you need to visit is www.sounddeadenershowdown.com Don @ SDS is a great guy and offers great products. Second, it would be helpful if you could inform us on what exactly it is you are trying to accomplish. Different deadening objectives requires different methods and, ultimately, a different product mix to achieve those goals. Just saying "I want to buy sound deadening, what's good?" isn't a very good question.
  14. We don't want misinformation floating around on here. Your more than welcome to stay here, I'm not trying to get you to leave.

It is about two of these stories daily, people wouldnt read it denim since it is already pinned at the top of this thread where they make the topics at but it is worth a try. Reading is fundamental fellas.

Yet another person who clicks everything and simply does not read. "How long will it take to get my sub? For all Fi subs it is a 3-7 business day lead time. As all drivers are custom made when the order is placed (started the next business day if the order is placed after 12pm). Due to the ever increasing number of daily orders, we have had to change from our initial manufacturing flow process to one that is slightly more flexible and should be stable for the long term regardless of the number of orders received daily. Once we have received payment (and it has cleared) and the building process begins you will be emailed a tracking number via UPS (Quantum View). It Will say something to the extent of "Billing information received". This means that a tracking number has been assigned to your order, but it has not left the facility left. Please note that the delivery date noted in the email is assumed for same day pick up and is not correct. This will be updated once UPS picks it up and the tracking information will change to "In transit" with the correct estimated delivery date. Delivery time normally runs from 2-6 business days depending on how far you are from our Las Vegas facility." You are not buying something that is stuck on the shelf collecting dust for a UPS label to be slapped on it and out the door. You are purchasing something that is 100% made to order upon ordering. You also must consider that you ordered during the holiday season (New Years) as well as during CES...which has been going on all week. Check your tracking information.

"AudioControl's patented Bass Restoration Circuit (Patent #4,698,842) looks at the low frequency harmonics that are in upper frequencies and uses them to recreate the lower bass notes that have been rolled off or removed. There's a lot more to it, but what really matters is that AudioControl products with the Bass Restoration Circuit give you deep, body shuddering, heart-stopping bass!"

You should be talking to UPS about this, not tarnishing Fi's reputation.
  20. Whichever one is in a superior enclosure will be louder.
  21. my front stage lets you hear everything including the space around the recording..... the JBL 660gti's are just amazing..you can even hear the fingerprint rub on the guitar strings You should listen to a Seas Excel once if you think the JBL's are transparent. You'd be floored. And yes, that is what my Eclipse was connected to. No hiss.
  22. Hey where can I find info on that style enclosure? I really like that
  23. I have 100GB music, from which 40GB are flac(one of the best audio format). As an audiophile I always try to find a better quality of a song and even with not so expensive equipment you can feel the difference between a compressed mp3 and the flac version. Flac - better bitrate, almost no lost in quality compared to the original... Example Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson & D.O.E. - The Way I Are [L0GGiX].flac - 48kHz , 2271kbps , 5.1 surround, size ~58MB Timbaland ft Keri Hilson Sebastian and D.O.E - The way I are.mp3 (not the best out there but haven't look for better cause I have the flac) - 44kHz , 196kbps , stereo, ~5MB Normal people don't find much of a difference but to get the maximum of the experience listening to a song you can't listen to some compressed shit I am enjoying this right now- Metallica - Nothing Else Matters.flac - - AWESOME Guitar .... 96kHz 3108kbps , 144MB for a single song
  24. Interesting. My 8455 doesn't have that hiss, neither did my 8053. You seem to want everything and buy nothing., but it isn't like Eclipse built them anyway. More or less they are still available. What's wrong with wanting? I'm not exactly rich, and neither is my family. Dreams are good. I do have a tendency to get carried away though Nothing, but you state it in nearly every thread even somewhat related. No one really wants to read what you want when it is everything.
  25. It could make a HUGE difference. If you don't truly understand exactly what you have and the results of changing it, I would highly recommend you don't.
  26. SDS is the only logical choice. It will help you from asking a question to where there are multiple answers on this forum already for that question, why have 30 pages with the same information on it or 30 different topics asking the same question with the same results. Almost every possible car audio question has been asked at some point with exception given to someone really thinking outside the box. People just pick and choose when to play the search card on someone. Fact is, things change with the times. What people have a hard on for today wont be what they have one for 6 months from now. Sorry to crap this guys thread. If everyone just added to the thread that was already related and didn't make duplicates this wouldn't be a problem. Having multiple threads covering the same thing just makes searching worse which sucks.
  27. Aidan and the w are sleeping. Glad they are here but it sucks he can't sleep in a 50deg room as the temp dropped and I want to open the balcony door as the waves crashing under the balcony sound sweet. You can still hear them, but so much better when completely open.
  28. You have an "install" problem then. Either tuning, electronics, box, who knows. Those subs do not have a problem there.

It's useless unless your recordings have the fidelity of an 8 track

its 2.5 cubic feet at 45 hertz( getting a better box soon from fichure costumes). currently none. yes i have a voltmeter it goes crazy from 10-13 volts with sub hiiting. ha im killing my current alt. working on getting an alternator.

Ok I was about to say you should be louder than that, just my .02 with that high of a tuning. Yeah electrical upgrades will help you out greatly in increasing your score and output.

Srlsy? We have to ask someone else why you don't like them? ROFL
  33. Kerf's allow you to use less port area and not have chuffing. A lot of extra expense in time to make one though. If you want to search for something for the details, compare an Aero port with a normal port. The conclusions will be the same. If you have further questions, ask.
  34. NO & Dallas both lose this week.
  35. I have owned 3 different sundown amps so far and i have been nothing but impressed. Ive talked to Jake in person on many occasions and even had him take a look at the amp and set it up for me when i was have some issues. Nothing but the best customer service and top quality products. All amps produce far more than rated and even do it it voltages that would surprise you. My 1200d, 1500d, and my 3000d have put down 200rms+ more than rated at 12.8-13v. This was real world testing as well not on a bench with mass amounts of batters. Last time i clamped my 3000d it did 2890 at 1.8ohm with the meter reading 12v. Find an amp that does almost rated power at almost twice the independence its rated to do it at. Also did a 1500d with just a red top. i got 1300w at 1.9ohm and supply was 11.3v. If that doesn't speak for the amps i dont know what does. As for the sound quality aspect you wont notice a thing unless you have an extremely trained ear and even then i doubt you can clearly tell. Everyone that's had a chance to sit in my car has said how amazing it sounds even had numerous competitors compliment on it. When it comes down to it you get what you pay for and in sundowns case you actually get more than you pay for.
