Kerfing.
1 pointWhen I do flares, Set the saw at 11/16" deep and space the cut every 3/8" apart. 1/16 of material is plenty to form a perfect flare. any deeper and and you can snap the flare when forming. (trust me I've done my fair share of flared ports) A 3" radius is generally easy to work with. Also drill holes 5/8" deep, staggered on the lines. This will help the Poly Resin to fill the voids in the kerfs better by allowing air bubbles to escape an rise to the surface. If the cuts are too shallow you'll wind up with splitting along the kerf lines on your finished side. Also use a sacrificial piece of wood clamped to the bottom of the piece you are cutting the kerfs on. This will keep the panel flat and insure the depths of each cut are true and consistent. Oh, and like mentioned above PRACTICE first!!! ( I should do a complete write up on this, lately I've been seeing a ton of Q's about this)1 point

Stetsom 1k5h test
1 pointStetsom is very good at maiking a ton of power in a small package. This is clearly class D and "full range" Though if freq response is only to 10Khz you might want to run something else to tweets if you have any hearing left over that mark.1 point

1 pointMaybe one day we will be able to ban for stupidity. And learn proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I might not hate you so much then, no wait, I'd still hate you.1 point- need help making a box for a fi bl 12
1 point- batt question
1 pointJust because a battery has a warranty does not at all mean that it is warrantied just because the battery no longer works. If you over discharge it, overcharge it, leave it undercharged and or allow it to sulphate you would not be covered under a warranty as those are not manufacturer defects and are generally specified under warranty NOT to be covered. You might think it is no big deal but those situations are the reasons why about 85 to 95% of why batteries fail. About the only situation where this might not hold true is with long term wet flooded cell warranties where you pay 2x as much as the battery used to cost just so you can end up with a "pro rated" warranty down the road where you basically pay a sale price to replace your old "X" many years down the road..1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointi know i should watch how i talk....but fuck you if you doubt me...give me 48 hours i have all ready got a new TL setup for 2mrw at 4 pm... haters kill ya self.....1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointI don't hate, ask anyone here. I simply call it as I see it, and what I see is you lying. You have ZERO proof and astonishing claims of 10db gains with out any real work, and 150's with no real equipment. The equipment is capable of 150dB, it needs serious work though. Such numbers don't need tons of power and tons of cone area.1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointand you are sweating hate thru your skin....drink much hatoraid bruh? Once I re cone my woofers you can come over and watch me break a 150. His numbers are BS simple as that....... Took my buddy two 15"s on 6k to get into 50's from the trunk of his car and that was fart box. shame on my buddy? Who is a World Champ and multi time World Finals 2nd and 3rd place finisher. Oh and I just called and checked, it was a 153 with 6k. at 60ish HZ Dude your lying through your teeth. Can someone just close this thread till pics are posted?1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointport was center to the car in the back...the mic was in the front passenger side...so i dont think so...but there is a good deal of air so i cant say for sure...i can always feel the air tho... come again>? yeah no it does we were typing at the same time... the time line for fucked... and the port was not lined up with the mic? like where the air moving was of course blowing right on the mic?1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointif im not trippin the TL mic is the lil box stuck to my windsheild right? come again>?1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointthe mic was placed at the front windsheild stuck onto it i think with suction cps1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointthey guy sticks in to my driver window on the passenger side....... and i know the power was dirty.....but i do run a clean 140 db. i have heard i can get a bit more at the kick....but also from what i have heard that does not count.. also i heard windows have to be up for it to be how it would be done in a comp...not sure if this is true and i am not running them like this daily...it was no more than 60 seconds....i dont want to blow my subs...but i have faith in fi's products...and no harm was done....just got a lil bit warm1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointthere will be plenty of pics and vids.... i plan to show all my installs in full always.. then double it all he should be hitting 290 db if you look at it that way and i think a vid is what is needed.1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointshame for your buddy...........i belive there is a place online you can see a single bl 12 hit 147 or a lil higher..... dont be mad.....get glad bruh.....i dont hate on you and yours...and right now you sounding really alot like a hater... Once I re cone my woofers you can come over and watch me break a 150. His numbers are BS simple as that....... Took my buddy two 15"s on 6k to get into 50's from the trunk of his car and that was fart box.1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointna double would be like 149 in his setup lol but thats not my car...not my box....not my amp...all these things matter.... also im running a bit more than double power from him then double it all he should be hitting 290 db if you look at it that way and i think a vid is what is needed.1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointmore than possible its fact....it seems to me some ppl did not hit 150 and now im taking heat but it is more than ok....i will turn the other cheek....i wont hold any grudge when all is said and done1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointwell in truth i i still have a good deal more power to give....i could fry my bls np...i could still get alot more out of my amp even at 1 ohm...i have a kinetik 16v laying around and that too would do a great deal... and for another thing i dont have a cell with a cam due to the fact that i have never needed one until now lol... but even with this doubt.....im not going to go upgrade my phone.... i will be looking for a digital cam to get proof so im not even sure why at the point what i can only call haters keep bumpin their gums..... and as far as this 10 db out of the sky...this is simply now true....i have it to give at any time...as i have said in almost all past posts....i was afraid to turn the bl's up... i have still not seen 70 volume on my HU while the subs are on....i dont go past 65.....im not sure but i think i can go to 90 on the avn7000 might be 80... i gain about a db from every time i raise my sub level from -6 to +6 i also gain a db boost from loudness...raising my EQ also does a small bit..... and i have yet to touch the bass boost on the amp.......i like to keep all the things off....and that is 140 db. thats my point... you know it take double the power to gain only 3DB... but somhow you found a way to get 10 DB out of the sky.... and i just cant seem to shut up here.. but if you have 8 grand in your car.. why wouldent you spend a 100 bucks on a new cell phone... you should buy my custom nightshade, 18 unless your stuck on FI...... i used to run FI my self.1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointthere are only pics of my box and subs right now...all tho on the same phone there are also pics od my eclipse and my big 3 amp and batts...but i dont have them posted yet waiting for my buddy to let me get them.....but this would not prove my tl...as i said i will be here for a long time too come...and will get everthing posted in time1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointcome on ppl buck up worse things have happened...... days ago i seen a guy on the midwest forum hit 140 db. with two sony xpload 12's in the most bootleg box i ever seen... but i gave him his props and was on my way........ i love bass and everyone who works too get it is legit in my book1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointits now a pain to me how true this is....im so sorry...all i can say is i will post once more when the proof is in place1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointdefinatly not with this install to my knowlege 3 db. is some how double the sound...and as it is the sweeps sounded like they put alot of stress on my subs..and the bass was not clean like it is normaly....i will only be doing a few more TL at that volume one for pics and a video.....and another for the kid with the mojo's...but it honestly seems a bit much... from what i have heard a smaller box will let me take more power... but im planning a 18 btl in a 92 honda prelude for a buddy... should break a 150 with that also... would think i would need more cone area even on a btl to get to 155... trying to talk him into 2 15 btls if he does that i dont see why not....1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointno nothing like that...it was legit....other than my box facing me and my window cracked....both give me a boost im not going to lie... but for some time now i have been trying to beat the 145. put up by 2 mojo 12's in a car that to my knowlege was not even sound proof'd ok weird... cause i was thinking if you had the lab running while you slamed the door with it sealed it would put up a good number if your car was mega sealed i have seen that happen before... also i have seen the wire come unlugged from the mic causeing a huge spike in number.1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointand i havent doubted you....but by the time i got on the board i was all ready in the 140s... and the fact is i was 139 with a prefab box with mtx 7500s on about 1k... was over 140 the second i put the fi's in the custom box.... and if you have read my post you would also know that... and you would know that that is with bass boost at 0 gain at 50% and sub level at 0 also with loudness on my HU turned off.... so i dunno what math you are adding up... but my knowlege is a bit limited i will admit.... but lucky for me i have a job to pay for my local shop to do my work... im not claiming i know more about car audio than you or that i have been on here longer than you... you are just trying to talk down on a person you dont know... and i 100% garuntee that i get more db in my box out of my trunk than i would get in one of your lincoln.. and in that way i mean it is install dependant.. and as i said your doubts will be put to rest as time goes on.... there will be more pics and vids of this install along with my next one... i dont want drama with you man.....so just keep your doubts to yourself feel me...1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 pointi had the front windows down about 25% i may be wrong but this may be called midwest style1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 point150.7 @ ??hz And where at? and what in? Who what when where how? Never post on SSA again......1 point- yeaaaaa 150 db.
1 point- sub displacement for a btl 18
1 pointi have another buddy looking to get a 18 inch btl and he wants to build the box before he gets the sub.... seems like a bad idea to me lol dunno why but i would like to know how much sub displacement to account for when building the box for a single 18 btl... he refuses to listin and jst gets all pissy when i tell him to get the sub first then make the box to fit it.... so before he does somthing stupid i was thinking maybe this info could be found here.....1 point- 1997 Jeep Wrangler

1 point1 point- Team Decent "Punisher" Build
1 point- how much power can i throw at at fully loaded BL 12???
this type of thing makes me feel like you have failed to understand what im asking...you can not judge a product based upon one man's install....as i have said i am more than happy with mine.....my goal was 140 db. i got there... game over for me....what i wanted to know...and what i asked is what the most the people of fi have seen run on a bl 12 IN THE BEST CONDITIONS MEANING NOT MINE...THE BEST....THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF WATTS AN ONWER HAS RAN>>>WITH NO PROBLEMS.........my install aside..and my questions about the crescendo audio has been answered very well.....this is not about that.... Obviously you dont understand because you keep asking the same question and people have given you the answer for three pages so far. It wont matter to you at all, it is to many factors to equate to worry about what someone ran on there subs. It will come down to goals, box size, listening habits (everybody's is different), electrical you have and so on. The way to tell what your subs can handle is to test them and let us know how they react on the Crescendo and if you want to know if they can handle more power in your application then go buy a bigger amp (which is not recommended). If your looking for more output then maybe you need to step up in woofer class as well and get you some BTL's.1 point- SAZ-3000 two quick ?
0 points- install finished
0 pointsi will get everything in order....video of mic position..amp...subs running...me...the car... my 7 inch screen as i touch it...a picture of my grandma holding my photo id and hers...my 3 best friends their photo id's...my SSN and i cant get you the real thing but ill get you phtotographic evidince of the magic bullet that killed jfk...i know dallas i can get it for you but for now i have said my piece and i am done with the drama of it all... just wait for the videos bro..0 points- i would like to apologize to the fi forums
This rep thing is dumb so don't worry about it. People negative rep me cus I don't nut-hug. But yeah, I didn't believe you either especially after someone said you don't even know your peak. lol. But that's too much effort for me to hate on you cus I don't believe you. PS - I see you didn't learn to stop using 5 periods at the end of sentences. Negative rep for you, sir.0 points- SAZ-3000 two quick ?
0 pointsman, you probably shouldn't get 3k watts if you don't know these things. the knobs are gain knobs and you can check by just turning it up and down and if you lose all bass or not will determine which knob it is. Low pass is set to where you want all the frequencies below to go to the sub.0 points- install finished
0 pointswell listin trick mabe you should go get some more db. out of your setup....or get a hug from a female feel me....you being a flat out hater....and right now the only one out here lying is you......every time you fix your brain/mouth to type/talk this ...... this....what i can only call slander.....now sit back and shut up fat boy...and wait for the video i will have my proof by nights end and then you can make up new reasons to hate yourself lol try and put a system in the back of a van..... see how loud you are then. I am pretty sure if I put the same system in the POS you drive, it'd break the car while do 55's lol. And we all know your lying man, just chill out.0 points- yeaaaaa 150 db.
