I would imagine, before you go and possibly make a costly mistake, it would be best to cover some bases. First of all, most people really enjoy the sound of their Type R components from what I've read they have sufficient midbass. Are you certain the high pass crossover is set correctly? If that crossover is set too high it will easily cause the midbass to go bye bye. Try turning off the high pass filter and see if it helps. Also you could have one of your midbass's wired out of phase. I'd check some things out first before plunking down money on another set of speakers.

It needing a break in before full power is applied is a myth. All woofers go through a break in period where the spider loosens up.

Taking it easy on a sub and not playing it full tilt until it breaks in is a myth.

Does the sound of this engine give anyone else a boner? Only one in the world. This guys has a shit ton of videos of rare exotic cars. This video left me absolutely speechless. I can't fathom a car looking more beautiful than that.

So if you want to start your own shop, your job is trying to be the best in your town, then make that demo vehicle of all sundown stuff, if any one walks in just tell them to state their budget goals etc, then you give them there options, you can say you can go with KICKER and have ghetto ass bass, or go with sundown for clean and heart pounding bass and just give them a little test of yours and I'm pretty sure they won't regret it.

I'm not saying gettng all sundown, because there are mainstream brands out their that are cheap and good, so what I am saying OP is that do not stop carrying the mainstream just make sure you carry a variety, and get it from a good source because sometimes for mainstream brands its not really wholesale, come to L.A and I'll show you real wholesale, But just carry a variety of products whichever satisfies your customer will satisfy you.
