  1. Brand new site, including tons of social media upgrades, faster load times, better SEO options (for us), & a sleek new look. and the new sites color scheme matches the forum perfect! http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/ We now have a sweet new download section, in here we can add what ever we like, so as you guys think of some cool things to make available, the sky's the limit. (besides copyrighted material, IE, MP3's, etc...) Enjoy

Here are a couple of pics of the N1 motor. Little odd looking compared to most designs, but form followed function. This is rather close to final version, except that material for top and bottom plates is a little thicker (for future profiling) and I wasn't paying enough attention when I wrote the code and wrapped the chamfer all the way around when it doesn't need to be where the spacers/end caps mate.

This is the standard replacement for the Gen1 and Gen2 BTLs. It has similar power handling and options. The heatsink/inductance ring which was an option on the Gen2 is now integral to the design. We spent quite a bit of time testing the sinking and cooling to ensure that the Neo magnets used would not suffer degradation due to heatsoak (a problem which plagues other designs). Form followed function with the motor and is why these new versions are a fairly radical departure from the last designs. Weight loss is significant compared to the 11.25" diameter magnets used in the Gen2 motors. More info to come both on the site and here. We are trying to get pics for the N1 and N2 drivers up on the site over the weekend to start selling on Monday morning. There will be an initial approx 4 week lead time for the N1 and N2 subs due to some raw materials not arriving for another 3 weeks. But if these sell even remotely close to the Gen2 BTLs we expect a healthy list of early adopters.

Only edit/delete spam really, the rest we deal with up front. I am thoroughly opposed to editing. Anything that gets changed gets a PM and/or a comment in the post. Obviously porno scamming 1st post of a screen name bullshit not included. I don't think you're a dick, Yes there has been 1-2 times where I've wanted to say every foul name to you in the English language, but most of the times i was just getting butt hurt. I credit You (Sean) with a lot of the knowledge i do know now, I came knowing not very much, and the things i thought i knew were wrong and they were thoroughly corrected as long as I made a noticeable effort to learn it.

The goal is to saturate the top plate, not the pole piece. Neo is a lot stronger than ferrite, as you probably know. you sure? why would you want all the magnetic force on top of the coil rather than all around it? and i definitely know neo is much stronger than ferrite When you saturate the top plate you concentrate all the flux on the gap where the coil rests. Yes the pole piece is saturated as well, that's just because the top plate is saturated though

  7. just buy it... sealed or ported, it's going to sound much better then your current driver (as long as your box is decent ) As far as underpowering it, there's no such thing. It will perform optimally at rated power, but less will still perform well.
  8. the Icon is an excellent sounding woofer...it is in the top 2 of my all time favorite drivers awwwwwwsome low end extension
  9. summit came through with the wrong radiator hose, but they overnighted the correct one with clamp and a water neck 90 degree swivel, pics to come after install and maybe a teaser video,
