  1. yes that would be perfectly acceptable. As for wiring here: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=1&I=22
  2. I looked at the "Blues" thread. Some interesting things being discussed in there that are a tad over my head. <---- now looking at buying the "Loudspeaker Design Cookbook"
  3. I went there black friday to watch people go crazy over some 1/2 priced shit hahaah Halfway between Wayzata and Excelsior. IE, East shore of Lake Minnetonka. Which btw is finally frozen over. Now just a little more ice and I can snowmobile right from the house. Cold HURRY. Funny thing is I'm never pissed. I just have high expectations of people and am only willing to put in as much effort as they are. Ask a shitty question, get a shitty answer. Ask a good question, get a great answer. And no the question isn't good or bad based on the information needed as there are no bad questions, but in the preparation taken to express what they are looking for. I also think its funny. Starting to not get funny to the Blues guys. I would agree Sq_MGB is a cool guy and all but this pissing contest is getting old. He's never pissed. I used to hate him, he was always such an asshole to me. lol But he's just trying to help. He has helped me in more ways then just audio. I would agree, i hated you Sean, SO MUCH but i've learned a ton. You put in the amount of work you expect to get in the answer makes 100% sense Pahaha so glad you listed ANT, watch out he may be lurkin'.
  4. For a 1000-watt sub a 4" coil is bit time over-kill for one. Secondly, as was mentioned, I wouldn't have room for a good spider as we are on the 7" landing. Third, as was also mentioned, the coil would be VERY heavy as we are using copper windings. --- As an "in general" why we don't have a 4" coil driver yet -- the simple answer is I'm still working on soft parts for that. Don't worry... things are in the works.

  6. It has to do with weight and mecanical limitations. A 4"coil takes up more of the spider and limets movement
  7. They weigh a lot more, handle a bit more power but for a 1000 watt rated driver a 3" coil does a better job.
  8. stop thorwing crap like this in are face!! all good choices figure it out.
  9. sounds like you had fun... wish jersey was about them shows... I don't enjoy watching tire burning and hearing ' yee haw ' all the time...
