  1. $16.99 Shipped in the US48. Come and get them while we have them. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/categories/SSA-Merchandise/
  2. It's still processing, so quality may not be the best. Don't hate, nothing is tuned. Just a random song i had on. This shit gets loud, i cant wait till i can throw more power at them.
  3. We appreciate that Stephan, repeat/referral business is what made us, and what we hope to grow.. Trust me, shit like this pisses me off royally, and it HURTS MY POCKETBOOK!! Anyone think I like that?? No You are one of about 20 people that are EXACTLY why I posted: "The little things NONE of you see, is me sitting on my phone all day calling vendors making sure they are getting their shit done, so you all can get your orders. Case in point, our soon to be former machine shop got a $10k PO the ~20th of Dec, I was told point blank "we will order material in the AM, you'll have parts next week" (last week of Dec) I got back on the 4th, had no parts finished and they wouldn't answer the phone.. So, I drive an hour and a half away to find, drumroll, no F'ing parts.. So I ask (yell at) them, just exactly WTF is going on here?? Oh, I forgot to order material... Excuse me?? WTF do you mean you forgot?? I have a $10k PO on your desk, and your holding up a $40k order, plus making about 20 other customers wait, who were PROMISED, BY ME, because YOU promised ME, they would be done.. WTF??? 4 hours wasted, and I still got no F'ing parts." Because you dont know all the details.. And in this WHOLE damn thread it's been implied that A)We dont care if/when it gets done (which is total BS) B)Routinely been implied that we (I) avoid talking the OP. When I'm in R&D mode like I am now, the only person who I talk to during the day is my wife if she needs me. I dont even talk to Kyle Dave or Stan most days if I'm busy.. I'm EXTREMELY hard to get ahold of sometimes, that's what we have Dave, Kyle, and Stan for. At first, (iirc) this wasn't exactly a priority to get done by the OP because of his build status, and when it was a priority and we started working on it, our lazy ass fabricators/machinists couldn't get shit done, we had to change direction, I said F it, dropped a huge amount of money in the meantime, and the OP's stuff is almost done... I'm tired of explaining all of this, over and over and over again and this is the LAST time I say a word in here explaining things, (other than updating) But I swear the next time I see anyone adding their .02 and adding fuel to the fire because they think they have something to input here I will either lock the thread, or I will make it dissappear...
  4. If you noticed, i put the subs in upside down. i wanted the logos (looking at it from the rear of the hatch) to be like / \ <- that, if that gets the point across correctly. but they are backwards, oh well, not they're "IF"s Didn't have as much room as i thought, so i've got the amp on the box for now.
  5. False floor time And finally, putting in the box. this is getting exciting! And it's in!
  6. And now to show off some bracing with the ports. And puttin' the subs in! Outside of the box terminals. 8 gauge ring terminals
  7. all built, wired, and put in the car! Tidy wiring. Used 10 gauge all around the inside of the box, and 8 gauge from the box to the amp. I really like this pic. for some reason
  8. Did you even read my post? I specifically answered your question. Are you trying for a true infinite baffle setup? I don't think you are, and 3x VAS wouldn't cut it if true infinite baffle was your goal. For a true infinite baffle setup, Qts = Qtc and Fs = Fc. You need more than 3x VAS to accomplish this. The 3x VAS rule of thumb is more of a "close enough" approximation to a true infinite baffle alignment. I think you are trying simply to run "enclosureless", which for the most part is the best we can do in car audio and what we in car audio refer to as "infinite baffle". It's a technicality in definition. Just because you won't be truly "infinite baffle" doesn't mean the enclosureless arrangement won't work. What's the difference between enclosureless in your auto and true infinite baffle? It's easy to model in any enclosure program, and I briefly outlined in my previous post how the drivers will respond to being ran enclosureless in your vehicle. Any sub can be ran IB. The only fear of "damage" is in the fear of the person operating the controls (you) not knowing when enough is enough....and this can happen in any enclosure, it's just that with IB the mechanical power handlling is lower than a sealed or ported enclosure.
  9. WOW, Great Deal here guys! Put one of theses in my son's jeep and it works great!
  10. Thanks for grabbing one! New photo
  11. its not the shop your thinkin, hes a stereotypical arab.....its a cell phone shop, he also works part time at a party store, as well as a gas station! GO ALKITA!
  12. Your argument is stated incorrectly from the start Higher voltage has nothing to do with rejecting more noise. The same amount of noise would be induced into the signal. The difference is the level that of that noise in relation to the level of the signal. This is signal-to-noise ratio, not noise rejection. But to save you some time......if you are picking up enough noise during the signal transfer that a 2V preamp output headunit isn't sufficient....then you have other problems in the system that need worked on first. If the amplifier is generating enough noise with a higher gain setting that the noise is audible during playback, then you have other issues in the chain that need worked on first.

  14. Sounds like a good plan and a nice list of equipment. If you want a lot of bass I would go with a pair of 15" BL's ported. As far as mids/tweets take a look at what the SSA store has for Bravox product. Great prices on a great speaker line. Amps well i'm very biased towards Sundown but your choices are all very good.
  15. Contact Bromo here on SSA or Here
  16. lol ... I VOTE THE SAME! go Xcon or go home! But if it is not what he wants or needs, then the SSD is one of the best sub woofer values on the market. So says the owner. Come on guys. Yes the Xcons are badass, but that is why SSA has guidelines so the buyer can get something that works best for their application/budget.
  17. How about a pair of DCON 10" in a optimal ported enclosure. The SA-10 from Sundown like a small enclosure and would probably fit your space better.
  18. From the begining question that you have asked the members here have given answers. The main responce has been that the correct enclosure size will matter more than how many/size subs. You have posted above you have had bad luck in the past, don't continue in the same direction. It takes more than some subs and an amp to attain what I beleive you are looking for, and the responces above reflect that. As ///M5 stated: "Again, post your space first BEFORE any other questions. Without knowing there is NO answer. Install is everything." Then Sir Lancelot stated: "You WILL actually get some help around here, but it is up to you to give us something to work with. The more specific and detailed you are, the happier you will be in the end!!!!!" Start with what you have and were you want to go, then it will be easier to help fill in the blanks and add to them...
  19. fedex dropped these bad boys off at my door today as soon as i get a amp i will install them. im looking at a aq1200d if anyone has one for sale let me know. im not really ready to buy right now just looking at prices
  20. Again, post your space first BEFORE any other questions. Without knowing there is NO answer. Install is everything.
  21. the one you have room for
  22. but what one would be better Like he said, both. They would be perfectly acceptable because they both fit the goals that you stated in your first post of this thread.
  23. top 3 are from my old IASCA firebird Front stage covered and uncovered IDQ 8 DVC and CD3 Ultra comp EQT Last is the back of my Tempo from 1995, Audio Art HC power, EQTs and some gold plated Sound Stream SPL160s
  24. Yo dawg I hurr you wuz lookin fo' some bang in yo' trunk. I'm only 19... by READING everything i could i LEARNED all of the things i KNOW about car audio. I've only been in the game for about a year or so. And no, Mommy and daddy didn't buy everything. ask ACTUAL questions with more details and we'll be able to teach you. None of this "If i have a Xplod on a Xplod 393939393 watt amp" bullshit, this is all install dependent. /thread
