  1. Never "just run a seperate hot wire from your battery to a bolt on the alt". You must find the terminal stud on the back of the alternator, usually marked with a "B" or "Bat" and connect your wire to that and the battery +. I also simply add to the factory wires whenever possible in case I decide to go back to stock.

Are they going to release a 15 inch DCON soon? My paln is to get either two DCONS or one of the new ICONS. Here is the link to the info on the 15" DCON:

My sister has a single 12" DCON D4 on a Hifonics ZXi8006 which is giving it ~300wrms @ 2 ohms. In the proper enclosure IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!! I've owned and installed quite a few single sub setups over the years and I have to say that for the rated power, enclosure size and price tag the DCON carries with it I've yet to find it's equal in both output and overall sound.
  4. someone blew a subwoofer? I didnt know subwoofers could be blown. They offer a recone kit? Why would such a kit be offered? I could see giving 3000 watts to a 500 watt driver... but 4000 watts to a 10,00000 watt driver? So it blew because he ONLY had 4,000 watts to give a 10,000000 watt driver then? Hmmm. interesting. Recone kit. Who knew?
  5. Is this post serious? no, not one bit. but if you read every single reply Ive gotten here over the last few years from "reputable" members, you would then have to admit that they go a little far with me sometimes.
