I compete in MECA and went to my first comp. today with the xcon's. Did my personal best of a 151.1@40hz Also did a 127.6 in park and pound....mic outside the vehicle 6 feet away. These subs not only sound awesome but can get pretty loud too. Did 3 p&p runs back to back (30seconds full tilt) and the subs handled it fine, didn't get warm or smelly setup is 2 15" xcons's on a crescendo 3500

I don't trust the RE calc either. When I figure out tuning for an enclosure I use winisd and compare it with the one on here, and it's 99.9% of the time within like 1/4" of eachother lol. If you use the calc on carstereo.com and you wanna do a slot port, keep slot port set to "no". For some reason it adds some random value to it, possibly for end correction, I don't know.

This thing is a F@#$%^G BEAST barley turned up, i have to get another alternator my voltage drops to 11, then i can see what it can really do its 4.66ft^3 after displacements, & i want to build a ported box but the ports have to 30 inches long external that will come later if i can fit it im going to upload some videos later too

Thats a really good score. I was able to get a 149.9 in meca with a 7cu/ft 30hz box. I think x-cons are way underestimated by alot of people. They sure as heck sound amazingly good doing it too.

im gonna look around and see what specs are for a sealed box, she likes freestyle you know 90's dance... and other song that are kinda fast and all over the htz scale .. this box is not tuned for her.. me on the other hand its doling out some lows like a champ on 400ish watts the guy i bought it from had it on a audio pipe 1800.1 on it. i didnt get to hear it. it makes me wonder what it would sound like with mo powa

Hmm I was just looking at Mechman alts. This kind of worries me. Would hate to shell out almost $500 and have to ship it back like 3-4 times before a working one arrives.

Your enclosure is a prime example. Subwoofers, designed by Jacob, built by the buildhouse. The only real hand Kevin had was a small initial investment and some creative marketing. The enclosure is 100% Kevin and what do you have, a POS enclosure. If you were running that business, would you really let that enclosure go out the door to the customer? It has YOUR name on it and it's shit, so that mean's you're shit. Put two and two together and what do you have?

You're supposed to think you should not have ordered something from Kevin@ Skar. laughter HA! I'm pretty pleased with the VVX subs but the box he sent me is garbage, total pos. I had to seal it up myself (there was no sealant at all and some one-eighth or slightly bigger gaps on nearly every joint), terminal cup is barely held in, port sucks (1" wide) and the baffle flexes like crazy even with 300 rms subs in it getting maybe 100-150 watts each. I have no doubt the subs are good. Jacob designed them, so they're an extension of him. Kevin wouldn't have a clue on subwoofer design. He's a douche, always will be. When you scam people several times, get busted on it every time and still don't have the steelies to man up, you're worthless, and then you still continue to be a douche.

you have time to try and get advise from us but then you dont have 1 second to add a period or comma to make your statement worth answering? I think you should just do a little searching around about your topic, although you will most likely get the same answer on every forum....
