  1. This complaint I'm not entirely following. The difference would be the load the amp is driving....5ohm and .2ohm, respectively. Amps don't choose, it's mathematically determined by Ohms Law. If you are going to output 2000w into a 1ohm load it is going to happen with 44.72V and 44.72A regardless of what amplifier is delivering the power. I think I probably just don't understand the point you're trying to make. As to the other points brought up in the original post, and comments like this....... I don't think he's complaining as much about manufacturer rating methods as he is the consumers reaction to them. And I would agree. I'll admit, it gets annoying watching the kiddies run around touting about how "underrated" this or that is and why that makes it an amazing product, and how you are "getting more than you paid for" as a result. They don't "accidentally" build a 2kw amp that really outputs 2500w, or a 1500w rated sub that routinely handles 2500w. Yes, the manufacturer rated them the way they did to account for a safety factor (making sure they meet or exceed rated specifications), taking the DAF into consideration and other reasons. But it's not a miracle or "getting more than you paid for". The company knows exactly what the products will do and what thier limits are, they chose to use a different rating for whatever (and admittedly often valid) reason, and those performance levels (and production costs) are accounted for in the cost of the product. You're not getting anything for free and no one (at the company) is surprised when the amp makes 25% more power than it's rated for. That's how they designed it. Which makes it substantially less astonishing than many consumers make it out to be.

I mean really....... why the fuck would you write back when i wasnt talking to you. i was to to stefanhinote First, you messed up your post and deleted too many of the quote tags (and apparently didn't delete all of the quote text that you needed to) which makes it difficult to figure out who you were responding to. Second, you posted on a PUBLIC message forum, which means anyone is free to respond to the comment.....if you don't like that, then keep your "private" conversations to the "private messenger" forum function. Third, lose the fucking attitude, learn how to use the forum functions..........and your grammar and spelling could greatly improve while we're at it.

    its sad too because none of this shit is made up... and i have seen these kind of stories around the net for years.... and for that reasons i HAVE NEVER even considered dc for my alternator needs.. not even in my highest drunkest thoughts but then when im flipping thru the channels and i see beiber boy can get his alt same day i laughed my ass off... i yelled and cussed at my tv watching them make an alt in 10 mins for a TV show.. but it takes them MONTHS of empty promises to get a hard working individual their alternator i allways stay out of topics like this.. i read but try never to comment. but this is a fucking joke. and now that they are not a contributor here.. fuckem. ill say how i feel.

    I purchased a DC Power alt about 3-4 years ago...received the alt, installed it, to find that the pulley did not fit with my factory belt even if the belt was tensioned 100%. Called DC with no reply for 4 months. Finally someone got back to me with a phone call, they said to buy a smaller belt. I looked everywhere for a smaller belt for my vehicle, couldnt find 1 smaller than I had. Called DC back and explained to them my situation, and how this alternator was supposed to be a "direct bolt-on" and I was reassured that it was a "direct bolt-on" before I purchased it. After 1-2 phone calls toa nd from DC, I never heard back. Since that day I've been driving with an upgraded alt and a factory pulley since the only belt I could find that would fit on the pulley and not slip off as soon as the car turns on was $400 bucks because it was a custom made belt... Like I said, this happened 3-4 years ago, never heard back from DC since about my issue.... I'll never do business with them, nor would I suggest them to anyone local ever again... no matter what forum their part of. /Rant

    Their section was moved to the manufacturer archive, dc power is moving to smd I believe.a (or solely smd)
  6. I didn't get many pictures of the cuts happening. But we got started and we were working well until the $8,000 table saw stopped working right. Had the GF drive her dads F-250 to deliver the wood. I had the real goods in the PT. Only real picture I got of building it until the saw broke. lol How it "fits" hahaah
  7. if you're looking for performance, i've seen subs forward, port to the side work great as long as you have enough room for the port to "load" off the sidewall. If you are still thinking port through the rear deck. go to My link and click on "trunk bass". it has a lot of good info and really helpful to trunk builds

    It will work. The new recones are better with the way the tinsel leads are fed in between the spiders. I think they give you the option of flatwound or copper with the Qs
