  1. Looks great! What kind of power were you throwing at it? Roughly 1000w for 30 Min's, and it laughed at me.
  2. 2 points
Always measure at the coil since the wire and it's connection will add resistance. Shouldn't be much, but there are instances where a connection can be an issue.
  3. Apparently, the bigger the cock, the bigger the cock. . . And the smaller the brain.
  4. well just 1 amp for all 4 subs ????? im not trying to be a dick here but thats like trying to fit 50 people in a mini van atleast you need 1 amp per sub are you fucking kidding me? this is your advice for anyone who runs 4 subs? no its fine were used to you knowing NOTHING about ANYTHING.... but even so... what if they are Z cons... your opinion is that you should run 4 amps to 4 subs? do you know ANYTHING about car audio? or do you just like to type on a public forum where NO ONE likes you ? take a second to compose your thoughts... i know its really really hard for you to retort with anything other then " your fat " or " your momma" or gay jokes.. and even talking about penis ........... ok now you can SPEAK OUT OF YOUR ASS.
  5. I've used the original without problems for quite some time. I upgraded to the pro version which has a lot more features but never could get it to work. It would always crash or show errors when I loaded the T/S parameters. Fits of rage and nearly throwing my laptop under a moving bus. Andrew Vaserfirer from HTS figured out the solution. After doing it exactly how he told me it works perfect! I wanted to pass along the info since I know several people have had issues. Again, this is all compliments of Andrew. Ensure that 'Auto calculate unknowns' is on even if you have all the data. This is recommended because WinISD Pro can be very picky about the data and if it is even 1/1000th off it will reject the data so it is just easier to let it do the work. You might notice some small differences in the values from the calculated and the provided, but very rarely are these large enough to substantially effect modeling. This is the recommended method for entering driver parameters [if at any point you need to change the unit of a parameter simply click on the displayed unit and it will change]: Enter Mms and Cms which results in Fs being calculated. If Mmm and Cms are not known enter Fs. If Fs and Mmm or Cms are known enter Fs and the other known value. Enter Sd, Bl and Re. This will result in more auto calculations being made, but Qms and Qts will be blank. If Re is not available, go ahead and enter Sd and Bl. Enter either Qms or Rms, whichever is available, generally Qms is available. If Mms and/or Cms were not provided for input, now input Qes. This will cause some other fields to auto calculate. Enter Hc, Hg and Pe if available. These are not required, however Pe (RMS Power Rating) will give a good idea of how much power signal input to model with. Enter the number of voice coils. NOTE: Drivers using dual voice coils may cause the Bl and Re parameters to change when changing the connection wiring from parallel to series. Be sure to monitor these when changing the connection option, but WinISD should automatically change these values properly. Correct Znom (nominal impedance) if needed. Many times this will change to 6 and should be 2 or 4... or the ultimate resistance (in ohms) you intend to run based on the voice coil configuration and your connection setting (parallel or series). Enter Xmax and any other missing parameters if known and continue. DO NOT change any of the blue auto calculations. If they are only slightly different, this is okay. If they are off significantly, contact the manufacturer or vendor of the driver. If you want you can also tab over to the dimensions page and enter 'Dimensions'. Don't worry about the 'Advanced parameters' tab. The steps outlined should cause parameters to be calculated such that they can be saved without error. If there are problems saving then too many parameters were entered that are likely very close to the calculated value, but WinISD wants the mathematical ideal. Just delete one of the problem values it shows up and try to save after it has been calculated and keep trying until it works. In my experience only Fs needs to be calculated to continue. 6. Sounds to me like your head unit has an issue. A bad ground will not necessarly cause distorion. Maybe a source of interference or poor electrical voltage though.
  7. I drove it to school one day, parked it and went to class. Got out of class, jumped in and fired it up then I put it in gear and it didn't want to move while idling as usual so I gave it a bit of throttle and heard the old metal on metal symphony. I didn't want to risk tearing anything up and we have the old rollback, so I had my father in law come pick it up and take it to his shop. We unloaded it in the shop( weeks later) and put it up on the lift, started by spinning all four tires and the fourth one did not spin freely. Pulled the wheel and drum off and the damn brake was locked up. Then simply backed the brake off, put the drum and wheel back on, lowered it back to the ground and drove off. All in all, about an hour labor and no dollars.
  8. People gave you straight forward answers. What is even the point of running more power to them? If you want to run more power buy woofers that can handle the power you are giving. It's an Internet forum don't let it ruin your day.
  9. Are you talking to 16k or the OP? Lol
  10. well i must say the alt is doing it job i can definantly tell a difference in just the way the subs hit like how hard lol. no light dimming anymore!!! i did a good test on it all today... a was at a steady 14.19v @2000rpm at full tilt. im please to say the least haha. now just gotta get my 2 deka 9a31's in and a new box (a MUST) and hopefully that will keep me satisfied for awhile
  11. This sub being released just changed my plans...
  12. We couldn't be more please with the looks & performance of this little monster. Beat on this sub for 30 min's straight today(20 min's free air, and 10 in the enclosure), and it didn't get hot once. Incredible sub. You guys will love this new addition to SSA.
  13. Do you have any shots of the skeletal structure? I'd love to see the mechanics! The new job has me working a lot with pneumatic actuators and I'm finding them to be very verstile and resilient to environmental change albeit a bit more expensive. I don't have any pictures of the inside. Most of these props are very simple to make, the finish is where the money is at. As for your pneumatic needs check ebay bimba stuff is cheap. If there is something special you are needing ask me I may have it or know where to get it.
  14. You've had the subs HOW LONG and still don't have them playing? Oh my fail! JK. looking forward to the build on this. Should be interesting. Ever think to put the volt meter a little lower than in the pic. and FG around it to form it to the ashtray?
  15. The plural form of 'deer' is still 'deer' oops lol batt box looks good edouble
  16. Thanks for posting this. Some guys obviously do not understand that this is not a 1/0 vs 1/0 thread.
  17. Guess the dragon likes SSA also.
  18. I cleaned my dragon today, who wants to see some pictures!?
  19. I don't disagree. I've seen enough of his posts to warn him. I was just stating there are more fun and productive ways to make people uncomfortable.
  20. Clean has nothing to to do with anything. If you put more than 600 watts of any type of continuos signal into the driver you risk thermal failure.
  21. Picked up my new toy today!
  22. Interesting news. I poured a ton of time and energy into helping him grow Mach5, we made nothing on the product and I mean ZERO. He was a good guy, but as soon as he thought it was a good idea to team up with Sound Digital (who have a hard on for Stetsom), then tells me Mach5 is getting out of the industry and to take down the section. Only to see a couple months later, there is a section up on CrapCo..... now he is done with it? After Stereo Integrity and Mach5 pulled that, I am no longer helping another brand because there is ZERO loyalty or gratitude in this stupid bullshit dance. Sorry to hear that you guys got the short end of the stick there. Unfortunately people have become increasingly ungrateful for people giving them some help or a fair shot. I know I have been guilty of that before myself. J It's ok. Mark warned me. It was my morals and good nature that has continued to get in the way of our business growth. Compromise your morals for money and see if you can look your kid in the eye or yourself in the mirror. At the end of the day, yes it is a business and must be ran as such, but you cannot violate your own ethics for profit. J

  24. damn those Zcon motors look HUGE on those 12s lol...
  25. This is great, a DCON hair trick. I am sure you are the first to do this with the DCONs, nice work.
  26. You've done this before. It's tiring. The sub is going to be minimally loaded with the 45 feeding directly into the line. I've done this before; it works well. And you've done this before, it's tiring. That isn't a T-line.
  27. Huh? Why do you think its a T-line?
  28. Then you can solve the whole issue right now and answer the question. Either you are lying or it exists. If you don't answer EVERYONE here will again know that you didn't admit it so I'd be quiet but that you were lying, if you truly know then just answer the question. Very simple. If you truly compete and really need 25Hz and you choose the album (which you did) then you can easily state not only what instrument, but what point in what song it occurs otherwise you obviously did not design your system for that. It is up to you to FINALLY actually show you know something or admit again you are lying. There are only two choices. Pick.
