  1. A built a new box, very nice. Hopefully you guys like it. Its around 5.5 cubic feet, 78" of port and is tuned to 34 hertz. Paint job is thanks to my lovely girlfriend Maria. Tell me what you think!
  2. Come on man! No secrets. He might be up in that number range now where he might want to keep some things close to the vest, or should I say Dickes.
  3. There is a reason why woofersetc. have three brands they have never carried before suddenly on the main page banner. There has been nothing but a stream of copy cat's carrying mostly the same brands we have been carrying for a good while. Apparently now everyone is an XS Power/IA/Sundown/SKAR/Mechman dealer, even Ed Lester. If you can't beat em... They must have the impression we are much bigger and busier then we are.
  4. No it is not -- FR Class-D to get the small size.
  5. was just thinking the same thing If your talking "CLD" yes as you only need 25% coverage to control panel resonance. So multiple layers or 100% coverage can be described as to much deadner. Yep, anymore than that is overkill, not useful and a waste. Unless of course it's something useless to begin with like Alpha Damp. If you mean too much MLV, then no. If you like quiet more and more is better. Of course it has to be applied right.
  6. For those who don't know, my dad is a gun broker. He has two of everything, like these 1919's!!!
  7. We got the boat fired up yesterday!!! I am hoping to do a madian voyage next week!!
  8. I am taking an epic shit right now
  9. What wonderful way to wake up.
  10. It would be parallel. How has your amplifier been able to handle it? It's all about current. You can safely run 400 Wrms continuously on that amplifier at 4 ohms bridged (40V x 10A). Using Ohm's Law (Power = Current^2 x Impedance or 200 = 10^2 x 2), you can see that you can still safely get 200 watts continuously out of the amplifier at 2 ohms bridged. Also keep in mind a few other factors. First, your subwoofers have a 4 ohm nominal impedance, but that number will actually fluctuate depending on a number of factors (frequency being played, enclosure size, voice coil temperature, etc.) and, in most cases, they will have an impedance higher than 4 ohms each. The other thing is that music is dynamic, so you can exceed voltage and current limitations of the amplifier over short periods of time without causing damage, blowing fuses, etc. Of course, this is nowhere near an ideal situation. You should think of upgrading your amplifier to something that can operate optimally at 2 ohms ...
  11. It will not let you link that site.

Here's a quick little video. Hopefully someday in the next millennium I'll get some actually being used. I'll be sure to post those tested product specs then too.

You are torn between the ICON and the ZCON? Or was that a typo? I am torn between which route I'm going to take with this car, yes... If I want to build another strapped, super low impedance balls to the wall bass car than the ZCON wins hands down... The gcon part was a typo... I am leaning more towards Icon at the moment due to the musicality, paired with needing less amp behind it. Why not an XCON then? Kind of the best of both worlds. Definitely a possibility, the Xcon puts me in the same boat, running a larger amp on an already stressed electrical system... But as Aaron knows, my plans are never final until the equipment is on the way. You don't need a large amp for the XCON. I ran 900 RMS on my 18 and it was great. Then if you get an itch to upgrade you can double power.
  14. GUTS of SAX-125.4 model -- lots of stuff packed in there... we did opt for some surface mount parts in this guy to pack it in as small of a case as we could. Traditionally we shy away from them but I think they will work well in a multi-channel unit and afford us the small size our customers want. Crossover is equal to the SAX-100.4d except we had to lose the 12/24dB selection on the crossover -- it is fixed on 24 dB now.
  15. I knew you would like it, look how much fucking snow they have!
  16. However if you do stick with passives and place the passive crossover near the amp, keep it away from the power wire. The inductors in the crossover can pick up induced noise from the power wire if the proximity is too close. Several inches is probably fine, just don't have the power wire running directly on top of or next to them as a precaution to avoid potential issues..

Yo, dawg. We heard you like pre-orders, so we put a pre-order in the pre-order so you can pre-order while you pre-order.

Now guys...I know you don't like people asking about this... But If I use 2 AA batteries instead of 1, can I run the toothbrush at the "dangerous" setting? I know it voids the warranty but I saw a video of a guy running his daily on that setting and another guy running them at "super dangerous" as well... Oh and what is the proper toothPASTE to use with these? I heard toothingsupply is cheaper than regular brands but just as good but how is that possible? Can I it with half toothpaste cuz that's all I can afford and nobody tell me to save cuz thats all I can afford guys.
  19. 8 ICONs should be pretty nutty!
  20. What he said. Two one ohm stable amps in one case. It's a 2-channel, not a mono.
  21. With that amount of cone area, it should be loud, even if it was sony xplods... or the most pristine SQ based driver
