  1. someone is trying VERY HARD to seem like a valued new member with vast knowledge but im seeing thru it.
  2. We've had lots of positive feedback on it pretty well across the board. A few things to keep in mind : 1) It's still an 8" woofer. So it's not going to out-perform a well installed comparable quality 12" woofer. 2) The main reason to get one is for a SMALL ported box; 0.5-0.75 per driver is perfect. This in mind it is somewhat difficult to install ONE of them unless you go with a PR as the port gets pretty long. 3) The low-end extension is actually MUCH better than you would think -- I have three in 1.5 cubes in one of my cars tuned to 30 hz. It PEAKS at 29 Hz at ~145dB with windows down. So pretty darn impressive in that much box volume. 4) Often times people get the idea it's an SPL driver -- which we do offer custom options as such -- but the stock unit is centered around lots of bottom end output and overall it's a pretty low disortion driver. Overall I couldn't be happier with it for what we designed it for. I am not sure how many owners are on this particular forum but the uptake is over 2x faster than the older SA-8 model so there are tons of them out there with great feedback to us
  3. Welcome to SSA. Make a well detailed topic in the sub woofer section about your install and goals.
  4. I have noted some doubt on whether all of these new parts will be of major benefit (not in this thread, of course, but I do see alot of things around the internet) -- what I say to that is; stay tuned for the results !
  5. I may not get to come up after all.
  6. Definitely tuned in. Have any pics of the current front stage? My bad if I missed them.
  7. Thanks for checking in on my build fellas You both live close enough to get demos when it is done. I want to hit you guys up now but I know it isn't at is max potential without the subs installed.

  12. 48 is that your favorite nascar driver or something? Only reason explains why you want that much mids. These dang die hard jimmy johnson fans these days never know what crazy thing they'll do next! YEAH BO now the neighborhood can hear the race now!
  13. see this post is exactaly why i love this fourm over others like $MD or **** because people can say something and get corrected with a minimum amount of flame and hate. the vast amount of knowlage that people have is always expanding and with a minimum amout of hate you learn a a lot just by reading through posts. sorry for my shit spelling my tabley for some reason is not spellchecking
  14. always nice to read up on your updates bro....
  15. ha steve and sundown parted ways a while back.... thats not happening square woofaz rule!
  16. Nice subs, looking foward to your rebuild.
  17. I don't think ZCONs are a possibility because he would have kept the motors from his 15s.
  18. False. Jud; You need to better describe your system layout and potential budget in order for us to provide any real assistance. Those speakers are marine grade....is this for a boat?
  19. Zed makes 6 channel amps, as do JL, Mcintosh, Zapco, and I am sure there are more quality companies that make them. JL is also close to releasing an eight channel.

  21. If you woke up in a bad mood don't post. COME ON ADRIAN. FORTY EIGHT 6.5'S? those are Mids he talking about. don't jump my ass over telling some guy his idea sucks really bad because it does. It might be dumb but definitely not a dip shit... That wasn't jumping your ass
  22. Get 8ohm versions. Get 8 800 watt 4 channel amps and run 2 per channel at 4ohm load. your looking at 5600 watts just for those, I would also run about 16 super tweeters too, run those off 2 600 watt 4 channel amps. 8 ohm versions, 2 per channel with a 4 ohm load. So now we are at 6800 watts. Just for this you will need atleast a 300+ amp alternator and maybe 3-4 batteries. Big 3 upgrade and several runs of 1/0
  23. If you want to get loud you'll get a JL Audio W7 8 that retails for a blistering 439 dollars and 95 cents
  24. Did you read my response over at caf? If not here it is.
  25. Turn you caps lock off. Annoying as hell...
  26. Now don't take offense to this, but if you want to run 48 drivers, can't decided between a 4 or 8 ohm driver and need help on choosing an amp and electrical upgrades, you really have no business doing what you plan to do. Start on a much smaller scale and make a plan that you can work with and that will work period.
  27. Bottom 4 batteries have a new harness. Hopefully tomorrow ill have all the 1/0 completed and start the wiring replacement inside the wall.
  28. i'm not sure how to do that. the alt is fun when its unplug and it spins great. but when it pluged in thats when it shake sometimes. but it still charges at 14.4 it just drops at jerks I think he means are they all lined up straight.
  29. i too enjoy my bass and wheeling its nice to have a ext. cab truck so u can do both.

  32. Cept the culture of CAPITALISM! I mean...we don't want to be SOCIALISTS do we? That's almost COMMUNISM! You misunderstood me completely, I am a huge capitalist. The problem isn't capitalism at all, but the fact that we are breeding an era of uneducated dipshits that have no class, no culture, no work ethic, no desire and are slugs. Somehow even with all that there is the need to have everything that other cultures have, but not to work for it. As a country the answer has been to buy cheaper. No longer do home appliances last 20+ years, but instead 5. Everything here is disposable as the desire to not wait and "save a buck" is so strong it's destroying the American dream. That and the political direction of the country due to this desire to have what you won't work for is fucking scary as well. If you can't afford it, save up, work more, do something. Not like a sub in general is expensive. Put it in perspective. I just did some landscaping and hired a guy off CL for $15/hr to be my grunt. He put in 20 hours of hauling shit. $300 buys a pretty sweet sub and was 2 days worth of work. It really isn't that hard to save up some money if you actually try. And sitting on your ass watching tv and the internet "looking" for a job is not trying.
  33. I would also say finish the big 3 first, with just power wire your bottlenecking. batteries go with what you can afford.

The XCON would work very well. I love mine.
  35. They are "sick" if you are limited on space. If you aren't I don't understand all of the hype.
