  1. kind of a smart ass answer since that really doesnt apply here. Someone was referencing DC Level 5s because of their larger coil upgrade. Because of random guesses, my statement does apply to what was said as the implication reference is not valid. The guess is per opinion but the logic behind it is irrational without stating why. i dont need to state why. WE ARE GUESSING! chill the fuck out.
  2. Broke my personal record i finally hit the 140.1 i was looking for! i was so damn tickled!

  4. If you adjust the gain on the amplifier then the volume point at which the deck "distorts" will change. Though that's not to say that the deck doesn't induce distortion near it's max level either. Simply put: use your ears--plain and simple. No need for gimmick tools.
  5. I will admit that I blew it during that video of the 156.7 on music. That song is loud and I tuned my setup at volume 55. I went volume 58 and probably clipped it some and just smoked it. The other one is fine. I will be redoing the front now and will be running 2 Ft1's, 2 6.5's and 1 8in in each door.
  6. Why pay, when no one knows me like me? Getting a handy is like a conference call. It is never as good when someone else is in charge and even if it is interesting, you just want it over so you can get back to more important shit.
  7. Is this the 3rd or 4th time youve been 'out' of car audio?
  8. How about we get some with Carbon?
  9. As the title says I am looking for a Boston Acoustics amplifier. I would like it to be the GT series to match a 2125 but it doesn't have to be. Let me know what you have.

Whats interesting is that I notice a ton of people on here that just dont seem to think the Q gets loud, or that just because someone wants to get loud they shouldn't buy the Q. I was in the same boat trying to decide my last sub choice. But against what several people said on here I went with the Q and was very happy I did. I went in wanting very clean hard hitting lows and that exactly what the Q does. I was tuned at 29hz and the sub was a monster under 42 or so hz peaking at 30hz (in my truck, my box, etc) Matter of fact on the meter my setup was within 2 decibels from 28hz all the way to 40hz,very flat. If SPL or competing was my main concern the Q would not be my choice. I know someone local with 2 18in BL's and he went from the Q because of similar suggestions and even he said the Q was much better on the lows. I will say that the BL's seem more peaky to me and not the sound I am looking for. Hence why I just ordered two new 18in Q's. And yes I have heard alot of different setups. I have a picky ear and the Q fits my needs. Summary from my experience if like the mainstream rap and want the 40hz range peakier output, or want to bang on your buddy, etc.etc then get the BL. If you are not constantly on full tilt, like a very balanced sub that gets very low with authority then consider a Q. Neither will matter if the enclosure isn't up to par
  11. Fml and i get all my stuff tomorrow. Gotta wait on a damn box
