  1. Black Friday starts early around here this year! Enjoy savings from your favorite brands like you've never seen before. We will be adding products to the Black Friday page on our store all week, so check back every day for more sick deals to appear!!
  2. What driver(s) do you have now? Just throwing a new driver in often times will NOT result in much of a change, especially without tailoring the application to the new driver, and with subwoofers, many many sound the same, so it's hard to get an increase in "SQ" when switching a sub.
  3. should be up the 195 I know 25 isn't much for a prosthetic, but it's better than nothing. I can definitely understand what Shawn is going through. Granted my conditions weren't permanent due the amazing Surgeries the VA performed. None the less, Shawn's story story got me a little choked up when I was reading it at work the other day. I hope we can meet the goal needed to make this happen. Sharing on facebook.
  4. You're not going to get a big positive response with this question. We like to enjoy our music responsibly and don't condone the idiocy that makes our hobby despised by many. If you just want to be heard blocks away, buy any subwoofer you want and have at it.
  5. Or just cover the port with a board...
  6. Or you can just seal up the vent on the one you have now.
  7. Every one of these posts are answered with a BL. Why no love for the Q? Most of the answers are "if you have to ask get the BL." Why? Do you think the Q was a poor design? Not reliable? Only intended for special installs? I know the xcon is not the same driver and I'm not implying that but aren't they designed with a similar premise? I don't see any threads saying if you have to ask get a zcon.
  8. Try living in South Bend. . . . . . . It is nice for the community though, and the whores really come out when they win. I'm getting a sitter for next Saturday. Win win for me. They beat Southern Cal and the chicks drink so much, they are easy. They lose, they drink away their sorrows and look for a penis bon bon.
  9. they look good and would save me the hassle of doing it myself , thanks
  10. Well this is the only update I have Chop, I am pretty sure Austin has learned patience.
  11. Answer is the same 99.999999999% of the time and it's never the Q. Port sizes should NEVER be referenced to box size. That is not at all how to choose a port size. The ONLY parameter that matters is air velocity. Completely wrong assumption. The BL will do better in your space for your goals, by a lot. I also forgot to mention another big reason I picked the Q is because my last setup really lacked the low notes. Like no low notes at all. And everywhere I read from people who had the Q and the BL, some even at the same time so they were able to test both, said the Q did this much better. They also said the audible loudness was no different what so ever except for the Q could really get those low notes, but they could see different numbers on the term lab. So I'm not so sure that your right that I made the wrong decision. Also why should port size never be referenced to box size when you have to have more port area the bigger the box hence the general rule of what some say 12in to 16in per foot for slot port and 9in to 13in for aero ports. Also the vent Mach was better with the Q for my enclosure. But just a question have you ever listened to both the Q and bl in the same enclosure? (Also with the same power to each) If you already knew the answer to your question, why did you ask?
  12. I have an interview this week at Ford! I really hope I land the internship
  13. Yea, there ya go Lantz. Do that project. Remove your door panels and go to work completely on the doors. Learn about deadening, enhancing your front stage greatly so ifwhen you do want some actual subwoofers, the front stage is plenty optimal.
  14. Well, I'm on my own again, and I need ideas for meals n stuff. Last year I basically lived off of pasta, soup, and fast food, not the way to go lol. So guys, let's hear your ideas. Things I'm looking for: easy/quick to make, relatively inexpensive, and not completely terrible health-wise. Either list things and I'll find the recipes online or just post the recipes here. Thanks guys.
  15. A new little toy came today.
  16. That entirely depends on the power output. You can't hear that. If you think you can, you are f-ennn nuts. All traditional speakers are pistons...how do you think they make sound? Yup. Version of the W7 is in JL's HT Gear. Hybrid Audio has HT OEM's using their speakers. Acoustic Elegance started in the car audio realm and has speakers used in studio's and home audio. Other brands (JBL/etc) share technology across all of their platforms. This is where I stopped reading. I couldn't make it through the majority of the rest of the post. False. If the power applied to the sub was the same ("watt for watt"), the output would be identical. False.
  17. I thought it was an interesting read, but to post a 2 year old thread which started by calling people idiots...a little counter productive.
  18. Nice first post. Glad you informed us all. We are all idiots of course.
  19. I have a single DD m4a sitting at my GF's house.. just need to order another
  20. 1 point
They are built to order. Once in a blue moon there is stock. This is one reason prices are kept low. Keeping inventory on hand raises prices. Overhead is a bitch.
