  1. I'm not getting out. I'm just saying my attention has been elsewhere. I have a new baby on the way so were trying to get prepared for that. Me and the Wifey need some quality time together.
  2. who cares? Its for a sub if the distortion or power rating were off by even 20% you wouldn't audibly notice anyways. As for your CEA comment later that is useless as well. Stupid standard written to shut up uninformed buyers. Just by something reputable and be happy.

    That version is XBL^2.
  4. Yes. TBH, anything in the SSA Store is pretty high quality, anything you purchase their will please you. Just stay in your budget and you'll be happy.
  5. 4 12 inch subs 7.25 cubic feet net 257 square inches of port area tuned to 32 hertz
  6. There is no reason to do so.
  7. The Rockford is nice but pricey. What is your budget for everything? Remember that a nice enclosure will be the most important part of your sub setup.
  8. You don't. You plug them in and play them like you normally would and they will break in naturally over time with regular normal use. You won't damage them by simply connecting them and using them as normal. That's all you need to do.
  9. I'm running 1 12" GCON on 500 watts in a sealed box and I am amazed at how clean, clear, and LOW it hits. I can't wait to hear it in a ported enclosure. I'm sure ICONs or XCONs would keep you grinning from ear to ear. SSA=quality! "This is hand made quality shit we're talkin' here..."
  10. Great build, looks good and bet sounds awesome
  11. some Icons or even Xcons on a Crescendo amp sounds like a great mix! just make sure to put them in a PROPERLY designed enclosure and not a pre-fab and you should have something that will get as low as you would ever want.
  12. well.. when u say DEEP, are you referencing inaudible or just low for music? Inaudible is implying home theater type subs.
  13. Went through all 11 pages...looks GOOD, man! People think it's about throwing 4-6 subs & 5k worth of power to get loud. Do your thing, man & show them...less is more!

Yes, we have an exact listing of what has finished and shipped and what is still in the process. 21 business days is the normal time line, it is very hard to project to everyone so that they understand that there are holidays that the factory isn't open, and the demand is nearly 6x normal, so it is difficult to expect the factory guys to meet normal time lines. well thats what i was wanting to know if you have any idea whats so ever if mine has shipped or gonna be shipped soon cause ive been hearing people saying that there tracking info hasnt been being updated and was wanting to make sure im gonna be home the day it comes incase i have to sign for it and personally dont wanna leave 900 dollars worth of subs laying on my step
  15. While I agree there are some things purchasers in preorders have to deal with, such as the ETA being pushed back some due to customs or raw material outages, I think being given an initial ETA and then being told that there is an indefinite time frame for delivery is way outside of acceptable. We only have 1 side of the story right now, so it's tough to say.....but if they are waiting "indefinitely" for the price of Neo to drop back down to where they are happy with the profit margin then that is complete and total bullshit. They ran the preorder knowing the price of raw materials may change, they are liable to honor that preorder with a reasonable time of delivery regardless of whether or not they lose their ass on the deal due to the cost of materials rising. According to the OP it's not that they don't have access to Neo due to a lack of materials....they simply don't want to pay for it because it's too expensive and they'll either not make enough money or lose money. That's not acceptable. Build the subs you agreed and were paid to build. If that means you lose money because you made a bad business decision, then tough shit. Build the fucking subs.
  16. A video I did for my friend http://vimeo.com/28614383
  17. In the crop bodies, in my opinion Nikon has better build and better focusing system but the Canon is king when it come to videography. To the OP the best way is to go to your local camera store and try different camera's out. I would also suggest trying out a Sony Alpha Nex-7 because it has the same sensor as the DSLR's, interchangeable lens but without the added weight. I usually shoot with a Tokina 11-16 lens and lugging it around gets tiresome due to weight. True weight can be an issue. I never recommend the NEX series as they use a unique mount which means limited lens variety compared to the standard DSLR. I know they have adapters but that becomes cumbersome and adds more weight and detracts from the balance/feel of the compact slr. But Sen is looking less involved now. Lol
  18. too vague and that makes this wrong..... lenses, lenses, lenses!!!
  19. read this whole thread, lots of good info. Though I may not understand it all, good stuff regardless.
  20. Although all that was said is true... I still think for his purposes at this point he could get a good DSLR and a decent lens under under 1k. Nikon's on sale at Amazon right now. Think a 3200 is just over $400. He can buy a nice walk around lens with remaining budget. Or get a used nicer lens as well. The market for used Nikon and Canon equipment is huge. I'm not a professional but I've acquired a few lenses because my walk around didn't serve EVERY purpose. Mainly for extended zoom. Picked up a used Minolta beercan lens for $60 and love it. Would love more zoom but don't "need" it now. Might rebuy a prime lens again for "just-in case" purposes. But even a nice 1.8 new is under $250.
  21. Not wanting to change a lens and $1000 does not equal a new camera in the DSLR class IMO. Everything you get advantage wise in an SLR you give up by doing that. If you don't bother to invest in the glass, don't bother with the camera. There's a huge reason that a 10 year old DSLR that has less MP than your phone takes WAY better pictures. It sure the hell isn't that the digital processing is better in the ancient camera either. It's ALL in the lenses. If I really wanted a DSLR and only had $1000. I'd seriously think about what I was shooting and buy a used setup. Most likely spending $7-800 of it on the lens. For example, in the Canon world that would be a 40d. If you are lucky you can grab a use 430 flash and whatever glass is for your general use with the leftovers. Guaranteed that it will take pictures that are way better than your skill or anything else you are looking at. Bonus is you can flip it for nearly no loss if you realize you bit off more than you can chew.
