  1. Don't have an 'official' release date...we never have for anything and we never will. The tab that is on the website should be a bit of a clue. The reason there are a handful of people that have them and have put them up on youtube and what not was to do field testing to prevent any issues with happening with a few parts that we haven't used before. We got the information that we were looking for, made a few adjustments and they're about ready for release. I've had zero time to do any emails, office work, etc for the past week due to people being out sick and everything in the shop breaking at least twice. Photos have to be edited and put up on the site and then they will be released for ordering. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
  2. Just read through tis whole thread today. Wow. Love how you show how versitile this hobby is...so many options depending on what you want to get out of it. Great reading- learned alot.

  6. Never heard of them, they just look like another bank account funded Chinese off of the shelf startup company.
  7. Here I start tackling the crossovers. Not sure about what best practices really are for these things. I've heard here and there that it's best to place inductors as far apart and have the axis of them perpendicular to each other. Like all things audio there are compromises to be made, available space being one of them. Manufacturability (is that even a word?) being another. Since I am not constrained by either, here is what I came up with. I was able to snag some abs scraps from work as the foundation for my crossovers. Here I turn round scraps to nice rectangular boards. Not much to show off in the assembly of the crossovers but I will mention that I opted for a steampunk / old school vacuum tube amp style point to point soldering technique. Finished crossovers. The compression driver crossover. The woofer crossover. Tata for now, exit stage right.
