  1. The part that sucks is I didn't even get power series lol
  2. Test drive will make you not want it. I'd drive a turbo if it is joy ride time.
  3. Your just getting used to it.
  4. Until they are married wreck it for everyone after you.
  5. Not a useless question and physics provides a ready answer. Double power and cone area (I.e. Double your displacement) and output increases 6db....which is going to sound about twice as loud in the sub bass. If you double cone area and keep power the same, you gain 3db which is noticeable but not twice as loud. This of course assumes the alignment is the same in each scenario. Now, asking whether 1 sub or 2 would be loud enough for you is a useless question as it depends on your personal preferences. We can't answer that for you. Worth the cost is another personal decision on how loud you need your bass to be to satisfied. Personally If money is an issue I'd focus on a single quality subwoofer in a well designed enclosure.
  6. You have no idea if that is too small for an 18, or any driver for that matter, without modeling for vent velocity with given power drive level. There is no rule of thumb for port area...
  7. watt for watt the mayhem would be louder.
  8. Subs only convert a few % of the power they are given into acoustic energy, the rest is heat. Your 2500 watt amp is making the sub dissipate well over 2000 watts of heat. That is why the dust cap is getting hot. Some subs don't have a good thermal connection to the dust cap, yours does, that is why it gets so hot. In reality, it is just helping with heat dissipation.
  9. The madness has begun.
  10. Largely due to our great Tech Team and above average knowledge base of the members, we do have a good amount of silent members who join up to just read, but never post. I am on the site 7/365, but really can only depend on our great mod team, the spam filtering of the forum, the captcha system, and the ever increasing database of ban filters I am constantly adding to. So to approve each member is too much to add to my workload as it is. I am in the back end everyday banning chunks before they spam though. thank you for everything you do for this forum !!
  11. Too many products, not enough Kendra. There, I said it.
  12. Waiting for the new flatlynes
  13. It's mostly the company/owner and the subs that are horrible. Never heard anything really bad about the amps though. Probably what Rick said is true.
  14. Company sucks the subs suck, the amps I'm not sure about. Probably just off the shelf from Asia with a skar sticker slapped on it.
  15. Too many products, not enough Kendra. There, I said it. kendra as in kouture?
  16. Can he name the brand amps he has looked at? I have used skars high end SK series amp and was happy with it's performance. But as a company it sucks! Also their subs might get loud but have poor sound quality.
