  1. It isn't underpowered.
  2. You sure you wanna start out on a system that big? Looks like you need a little more experience for this gratitude of a build. Do some research and read up on enclosures and please look at fi before..you order they state what is optimal performance.

I shouldnt be up right now.. but i'll see this later.. but what do you want me to say? In general regards to troubleshooting, isolate your noise issues first. If it's narrowed down to the amp, let me know and i will forward results to technical department for consultation. I will say that the low gain setting in your video is no excuse for "potentially" cutting corners "possibly" in engineering but at the same time, hardly any gain is not common used setting in install. Again, it's still no excuse but not common setting. In regards to that statement, i'm curious on results on higher gain setting. If results are not satisfactory, i would consider forwarding results, on your behalf, to tech department for review to determine cause and engineering perspective. If you are not satisfied, i am not satisfied.

Obsidian audio subs are rated at and warranted for 600 rms. This coming from someone that has smoked 3 18's in a 35 second demo.
  6. Yes, thermal limit. And until you model your alignment, you, nor anyone else on the planet, can tell you what amount of power is required to full output, period. Your particular enclosure may have max output at 1500, 3000, 9000, or 10,000 watts (etc.), frequency dependent, you simple just don't know...
  7. I owned two kinetic 2400's and one agm extreme under the hood.....voltage regulator popped on me and voltage went from 13volts to 18volts fried all my batteries. Only battery I have left is the agm extreme because oreillys return policy is the bomb!! I would buy locally, warranties do make a world of a difference on a battery.
  8. At around $275, the diehard plats are hardly a budget battery. Less than XS? Yes but still pricey. Most auto parts stores sell their own version of the group 31 AGMs. Dekas can be found under $200 as well.
  9. Why do you think you have to use a line driver? I mean, unless you're planning on running 8 or 10 amps from that HU 2V outputs should be good to run 5 or 6 amps without much of any issue. I think you're either over thinking things or you've drank the wrong Kool Aid.
  10. Diablo > Cuntash But that's probably just because we grew up in slightly different times.

I fear if you run more than 1000 watts each, they might fail. This depending on your listening habits and the material you're playing. Either way, if you do decide to run more than rated, I highly suggest you learn to listen to the signs of failure. Also, the icon is a far superior product. No comparison.
  12. Hey guys, sorry it's been awhile. I took 6 weeks off of work and everything else to spend some time with our new little girl. On Monday, I signed into SSA for the first time in like a month. I'll be back around a little more now. I missed this place. Sofi is now six weeks old and doing well, in the hospital at the moment because of an unknown fever. Running 48 hour cultures to see what she's fighting. Thanks for being such an awesome group of people. Here's Sofi, enjoying a cool washcloth to fight that fever
