  1. I found about ssa from a dude I met off craigslist building boxes.. he only had 1 12 zcon in a prefab box that he put a long ass external port on..on a ap3000 and was 3 times as loud as the 2 fosgate t1s I had him build the box for.. not the best impression on his box building skills but a very good impression on ssa and the zcon
  2. I have built more boxes than I can even remember, but my real passion is furniture building. Woodworking in general is a great pass-time and can be very beneficial if you develop the needed skills past just putting mdf together. I would much rather work with hardwood than mdf/plywood. Anyway, here are some pictures of furniture I've built, and the age I was when I built them. I'm leaving out A LOT of furniture I've build because I simply don't have pictures of them. I will try to get pictures when I go back to Kansas, because most of my furniture is furnishing my parents house. Red Oak rolltop desk. I have roughly 160 hours of build time in this desk. Built this when I was 15. Solid Red Oad Shaker style queen sized bed. I have roughly 70 hours in this bed. Built this when I was 16. Red Oak entertainment center. The black is grill cloth so you can control the players without pulling the doors open. Built this when I was 19.
  3. I am always up to learning new things, and if it turns into a profitable hobby, then I'll pursue it even further. A hobby my wife got me hooked on a few months ago was glass working. So far I'm just working with solid pieces (molten non-the-less), and will start blowing in a couple of months or so. Here are some wine-stoppers and shift knobs I've made for myself and family in the last few months. (Can anyone tell me whats behind the glass pieces in the 4th picture down? )

  13. The only people ive seen make money with custom furniture is having a custom cabinet business be 90% of the income. Everyone needs cabinets, some will pay for custom, and very little of those people will want custom furniture. Nobody has a problem buying junk Ashley particle board furniture for $1000. But, spend $1000 on a piece of custom furniture that might not be as big? No way jose.. I just dont get it.

  16. If it didn't weigh 85 lbs.
  17. I guess the Fi recognized the issue.
  18. There are two truths here. 1st being. Nobody knows exactly what caused this. 2nd being. No manufacture makes 100% bullet proof equipment. Things like this happen to many end users and with equipment from many manufacturers. This particular time is was you as the user and SSA as the manufacturer. Nothing more than "shit happens"
  19. It is rather simple. You asked for something which implies a perfect frequency response. This means you NEED a processor. There are no double din units without Nav that have a processor. Had you actually read the terms and conditions and made a thread that described what you really needed instead of using some terminology that you don't understand the definition to you'd get better help. Add to that the confusion of "needing" a 4v out. That is a pointless spec and won't help shit. There are some threads in my signature that will help you steer the thread in a direction that can help you. What you've given us so far can't. Exactly why "no" is the right answer.

I get that.... but the thread should be about the goals and whether a SP4 would meet those goals or an Evil will meet those goals... You cannot pin up 2 drivers against each other without warrant... Ex: "I want more SPL because my current xxx doesn't do it for me.... Can the SP4 in the same/similar situation provide me with more blah? " Just saying... It's hard to pin one against another, especially if the drivers specs are not identical or goals are not the same.... end rant ... Continue Exactly my point, there are quite a few people around here curious about the same thing that's why I made the thread.

Both drivers look bad a$$. It really comes down to just picking one and rolling with it. If you're wanting to try something different than the rest, I'd throw in the Tantric HDD or SHD. That should add a lil' fun to the party.
