Not nowadays, price is the determining factory lately in this industry. Sad but true Cheap and full of hype, it sells.

Appreciate it! I been waiting on a solid answer. I've followed your build on YouTube and FB.. Nice work I'm looking forward to the next one.
  3. holy sh**! I thought it was gone forever. Can you move this for me please? Just move it over to Team IAK, then I will delete thread. Change the tittle from team dss to team iak
  4. Calculating it as if he would end up using the Q1200 and tuned to 34hz it would take 85sqin of port area to get the vent mach down to 5m/s which is well below the threshold for any audible noise or port compression. That should be good enough to be considered a practical maximum.
  5. I'll park my motorhome in front on your drive way, just like this..

Pass on it. Ran their 4k models and had nothing but issues with them and had to exercise their CS more than once. Pick you 5 different companies with models you might find within your needs. Look in to how well their CS is along with the quality of the product and base it off of that. Then compare with how much you are willing to spend and make your final purchase.

^^^ This ^^^ I "upgraded" to a 1400.1 last year for "cheap power". I'm out $325 and have a useless amp to show for it. As others have stated, take your money elsewhere and you'll be much happier in the long run.

  10. I will never go back to anything but my horns.
  11. Been forever since I had the chance to update this thread! Just so you guys know, I no longer use .ogg, now I use either 256kbps .mp3, or 320kbps .mp3, and in some instances .flac files. Been doing a lot more music recently, and been making up for lost time. Been working and saving up for my build with some nifty SSA equipment. Here's my third zip I have done, you'll find over 100 different tracks. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=8F8EC70875173780!333&authkey=!AKGyWCTNt-fmrPo&ithint=folder%2cmp3 A quick way to download them is to hit Ctrl + a and then right click, then download. I'll try to update the original post with more updated links and new music as it comes.
  12. By no means would my setup be considered SQ, but Imo it is crisp, clear and very loud. A bridged ppi900.4 on punch pro 10s in the doors have much more output than my eardrums need. With my current component list, I feel my 10" mids are the strongest part of my system. They still need to be glassed correctly in the doors, but I'm quite happy with them. Would you guys link the horns you are considering? I too have thought about going this route, but was afraid they may be too sharp/bright/piercing. The only horns I've heard were in Senchez's Explorer, but they were set so loud it was very uncomfortable for me.
  13. Post seems confusing, went from four 18"s to a 12" to a 24 ". What are you exactly needing your front stage to blend with? Ideally a pair of under dash horns and large midbass driver usually would work with multiple subs or high powered sub setups.
  14. I heard everything is LOUDER in a Pontiac!
  15. So it's finalized. I'm going with spl dean I'm so excited, I cannot wait till it comes in. I took my sub to a friend of mine to recone it, he I species my sub, gave it a few taps here and there and he concluded that my subs coil had shifted! That's why it's making those noises son certain notes. I'm super bummed out on the workmanship and/or QUALITY of my soundqubed sub. Maybe things happen for a reason, and this gave me the opportunity to see what spl dean is all about. I'm saddened by this experience, I really wanted to believe in soundqubed. The reviews, the pics, the unboxing videos, the pricing, all that. But I'm let down and will cut ties with this company and not suggest to anyone I can.
