I think it explained more why most hip hop is useless. If it all followed the breakdown she gave, I'd listen to more of it

1400rms @ 2ohm vs 2000rms @ 1ohm, would be splitting hairs. Not to mention the amp would run more efficient at 2ohm, with less chance of any [more] strain on your electrical. You gain the extra 12" cone surface, while not risking electrical. Thats my $.02

Ok. So I will worry about changing the front stage when SSA releases the tweeters.. and figure out which amp best suits the ssa mids n tweets.. it will be nice to get the crossovers out of my amp tray

First thing you need to shop for is a crossover. No way, no how are you going to get a 3 way to work with the Audio Control you have. Next step is to figure out how much of a midbass driver you can use...and to stop looking at ANYTHING car audio specific. Then if you want nothing low, you should decide if you are willing to build kicks. As a first install of a 3 way I would recommend that as it will simplify the crossover setup. All that being said, I'd still really recommend nailing a 2 way first. It will sound better as it won't be the equipment that limits the install.
