I was actually in the middle of writing a post about how I had reached my breaking point with Harvey a couple weeks ago. I made the (probably correct) decision to not go down to Baytown the weekend the hurricane hit, but my heart was breaking as my friend were out there helping people in the flood waters and I was just going to work like it was no big deal. I would have had to miss work because I would not have been able to make it back, but who cares. With the help of a friend, I decided that I could help by setting up donations in San Antonio and taking them down the next weekend. In a couple days I was able to get a 12ft enclosed trailer and fill it to the brim with donations. The donations ended up going to a local neighborhood and the rest to a local church. I was able to help a few families clean their house and help one of my best friends family gut a small "shop/apartment" to try to rebuild. There house was destroyed, so they just tried to get things out.

Yea good old snow belt. I've got all the body panels to fix it and doors from Tennessee that are spotless. But it's got kinda a sleeper thing going on lol

The blue transpo is built to control one alt and i bet most people that spoke against had 1 regulator running multiple alts. I say stick to 12v and secure your battery bank. Once you get stable voltage and can hold it steady it will make a world of difference. For what it would cost to convert to 16 volt just add more batt bank for 12v and be better off.

Well at full tilt on the ns1 it sits 11.6 11.7 at idle. So defiantly going to add another battery in the rear and upgrade the one under the hood that's starting to swell (that'll get replaced in the next couple weeks) adding the second is more of "hey I've got another 240 just sitting here, is it worth adding for safety, or is it going to be more catastrophic on the factory electrical?" That's my reasoning. And I've heard from multiple people the blue transpo's are poo. And decided against 16 volts due to everyone's imput. Thank you to all that responded.

Not sure exactly what your looking for, or why. But, i agree with the above, if you want to go high volt. We have a quad set up, one for the 12v side charging at 14.8, and three for the 16v side charging at 17.9 with 20 xs power d1600s. It was and has been a pain. This season is the first its ran with out issues. The blue transpos are turds, can be finicky as fuck. But, so far, its been fine this year after much playing around. I dont know what all your looking to do, but, if your holding close to 14v now wide open, you probably wont see much if any gain whatsoever with another volt. If your holding well over battery rest already, then you have a lot of room to grow.

Run 1 12 icon in a 4th order 2:1 ratio. Best of both worlds. I can speak for the icon and say it is one of the best subs i have ever heard. I loved it so much i put 8 18s in an astro. I should mention I have had every ssa sub from dcon to evil. I have had dss ethos, jl w7, psi,nvx, american bass, pioneer, Sony, DC, RE and Fi. There is just something about the icon that outshines all them other subs with its heavenly bass.

Also have you tried the sit normal in the car as if you were driving & have someone else hold the tweeter in different locations & different aiming angles to hear what pleases your ears. Then figure out how to make it permanent.
