still a noob with my high end.. not sure which one active is lol.. its using the crossover which comes with them. Amp + and - to crossover input, woofer and tweeter off the crossover output

Alright.. just recently bought and installed a set of the zapco i-6 component's. .. running them off a MBQuart 4125..Let me get to the problem im having.. my Volume knob can go up to 60 i believe... when i crank up the volume to say 47 my high's (the zapco components) sound as if someone put a pillow over them.. then as i turn the volume down to around 30ish it clears back up.. I at first thought maybe something internally came loose in the amp since its mounted to the box with my 18" BTL in it.. so I cut the subs out of the equation completely.. still does it at around the same volumes.. This was a problem i was having with my old 6.5" Eclipse door speakers i had before these.. I know the connections are nice and snug. I personally think the amp is a pile of garbage.. but who knows maybe something is wrong.. ground is good on that amp along with my other amp (saz1500d) all wires are ran directly to each door separately. Now i should also mention i didnt fuse that particular amp (mb quart4125).. lol ran short on fuses so this one didnt get one.. maybe my problem? hell i donno. I have a older Fosgate 600.4 in my truck im about to swap into this ones spot.. but i still would like to figure out whats goin on here, if anyone has any good idea's id appreciate it

I have a friend who went from 2 Kicker cvr's to 1 Fi Q 12"... same amp to both.. both running at 1 ohm.. the 1 Fi Q sounded better all around than the 2 kickers.. 2 Q's would only be better.

He said he wants musical, i have a BTL also and i dont see it being musical. obnoxious.. brutal... insane is how id describe those damn BTL's lol. ive heard a Q and it sounded great, sounds like he picked the correct sub to me, As far as box sizes i cant help much, use the recommended box sizes Fi offers and you should be just fine. good pick on the subs, fi is great.

Im one of those guys who can look over some t/s specs and not know what the hell im lookin at lol.. Basically AA is new to me, i went straight for the Fi BTL, but ive been seeing these for sale locally lately (craigslist) and im curious.. For the most part i need to know what each sub is good for.. as in SPL, SQ.. Ive been eyeballin these 2 havoc 12's but dont really want to buy them knowing nothing about them.. AA is a good name, that im sure of. just need more details, if someone could point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it. At the very least someone who knows the havoc series please fill me in.

ive never heard a XCON, been wanting too real bad though.. but thumpper has hit it right on the head i think... described what my BTL sounds like. Real peaky. and its not too musical to my ears what so ever. But damn its loud and pushes alot of air lol. Maybe i need to get an Xcon 18 and compare

I got a friend who has a grand prix.. And since I have a btl 18 in my tahoe I see no way in hell that an 18 btl will fit PROPERLY in the trunk. I built a box for my friend to hold 2 12's comfortably and that was about all that was goin in there. Hell the box my single btl 18 is in now probably wouldn't even fit across his back seats. Lol, listen to these guys here, they know what there talkin about. 2 12's can hit real hard if you got the right equipment ( Fi ) and a good installation

I suggest sundown amps, check the store here.. click up top on "Store" and look for sundown amps in the amplifier section

i was curious about this also (although i have the 1500D). Ive been told its a Remote Gain Knob, So if i set my gain at the amp and start playing with the knob am i overriding that setting or maxing it out... lol just repeated your question.. but its a good question ive been wondering about, thanks for reminding me

I just went thru this same thing.. got a 18" fully loaded btl.. worried that i wouldnt have enough power for it.. those things are monsters.. i feed mine with a SAZ1500 @ 1 ohm (D2 sub) it takes every bit of it and wants more.. I agree with the audiopipe 3000 if your lookin for power at 2 ohms, ive played with the audiopipe 1500's and there not bad at all, the 1500 is tiny for what it is but puts ou quite a bit.. the 3000 looks alot bigger im sure its of the same quality. Before you go dumping a ton of watts to the BTL make sure you have the right sized enclosure (you may already??) i dont know for sure how that all works but the size of the enclosure plays a part on how many watts your going to give it. Have fun with that thing

agree, If you considered a btl and understand what that would be, you dont want the Q, although it sounds awesome, you want a BL. Fi is the shit.. if you got the money go for the BTL tho.. its a monster.
