Which AA setup?
With the AQ1200D you will be fine with a D2 sub and a 1 ohm final load. My boy has 2 of the Chaos on 3K amp takin 1500 a piece all day no sweat. I am about to buy one myself, for my brother-and-law's grad present, and run it on an AP15001D at 1 ohm. They are very well built subs and can take the xtra power no problem, just make sure you set your gains correctly. BTW these are awsome subs. Nice choice.

hifonics 2010D?
They are good budget amps, but don't expect to get the full 2k out of them. The Brutus amps are a little over rated. If you want a good 2k amp that's not going to cost an arm and a leg, check into a MB Quart DSC2000.1D. You can find them on ebay (sonicelectronix) for $275 shipped. True 2k and a little more. Now, you can also look into the Audiopipe AP18001D. Solid 1800 watts rms at 1 ohm. Great amps only $189 shipped on ebay (I would take this over the BXi2000 any day of the week). You really aren't going to hear the difference in a couple hundred watts. So, any one of those amps will do the trick, with the DSC having the best quality and reliability IMO. Just a matter of what you are looking to spend. Good luck.

Which amp is best for my xcon.
Bro, obviously the Sundown is a better amp. But seriously, you are not going to hear any difference between the BXi1600 and the SAZ-1500. The amp you have is fine for that sub. All you need to do, as I told you in your other thread, is learn to set you gains properly. A 1600 watt amp should have no problem running on a stock alternator and a good battery under the hood, so I have no idea why you are thinking that spending a couple hundred on a high output alternator is going to make it sound any better. I'm not trying to down you here bro, but I just think your confused is all. You have had quite a few people tell you the same thing I just did, but apparently you haven't been given the answer you where looking for, so you keep asking the same question in a different way. Bottom line is, no matter how many times you ask the question, the answer is still the same. Believe me, I have done what you are doing. If you would like to spend alot of xtra money for no reason, by all means buy the Sundown. But you have to understand, there will be no audible difference between the two. You do not have to give a sub it's exact rms to get great sound and output from it. And your electrical should be sufficient. Now, it obviously never hurts to upgrade electrical, but don't expect your sub to sound 10 times better just cause you put a $300 alt in your car. Please, just listen to the answer when you ask a question. Don't waste time trying to prove them wrong, or find a loophole that proves your situation is special or different so what they have to say doesn't apply to you. Just take it for what it is and put the information to good use. Bottom line is, if you want to spend alot of money on these upgrades you think you need, shoot me a pm and by all means I will help you find the best deal out there to get what you are looking for. But, if you want to accept some advice and make what you already have sound great then listen to what people are trying to tell. Honestly, these guys have nothing to gain by steering you in the wrong direction or giving you false information. Now, they have told you that box is fine for your sub, so that is good. Sounds to me like you just need to do a thorough check on your wiring and make sure it is all up to par. Then, take the time to learn how to set your gain, sub-sonic filter, and low pass filter. Here is a start: Now, I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose to do. And please don't think I'm picking on you, I was in your shoes not to long ago and I'm just trying to save you the trouble I went thru. Do yourself a favor and listen to what these good people are telling you.

I got my new xcon YAY! here is my short review.
Bro, I just don't understand you, lol. You have the owner of the company that built the sub and someone who obviously works there and quite a few people who own the sub all telling you that you need to do something to make it sound better and you just blow them off like they have no idea what they are talking about. Like you really know better than the guy who built the sub lulz! Sounds to me like you need to learn how to tune your amp. Subs aren't meant to play that high. I could hear voice in your sub in the video. Not good. And your gain is obviously set to high if you hear distortion in your sub. Either that or your using bass boost or at worst both of these. There is no such thing as underpowering a sub. You can't try to push the amp further than it can comfortably go though. This is when your signal starts clipping, which is the cause of your distortion. But since you are not that much of a noob and got it under control, I'm sure it will work out just fine for you. LULZ.

Sub Opinion
I have heard a Death Row 12 off about 1200 watts tuned low. Was nasty, sounded good and clean but still got hella loud. Hit a 137.xx at 27Hz that day. Nice for 1 12 tuned that low. If money is not an issue, with the power you have, you might want to look into a Death Penalty. They get LOW but are still nasty LOUD and sound good doing. I was surprised at how musical they are. My mind has been made up since the first time I heard one and I haven't looked back. Gonna throw 3K at a 12, I have a feeling I'm going to be real happy lol. Anyways, good luck with what ever you choose.

saz 2000?
I have seen the guy on ebay also, supposedly he buys from Jacob and your amp ships straight from Sundown. Those prices where the sale prices from the sale Jacob just had iirc. Why mess with him though when you could buy straight from Jacob, SSA, or DB-R I don't know, lol.

SQ_MGB's 2002 Chevy Reg cab build
- AQ220d vs. SAZ-2000d
Both great amps, both do rated and a little more, both have warranty, both will get the job done. Tough one, flip a coin. Good luck.- OH SHAT SUNDOWNS DOIN IT AGAIN
I am AWE struck. Beautiful build!- Project Warden.....Results
This beast is even more impressive in person! Pics and vids don't do it justice. Mr. Pimp is an Evil Genius when it comes to enclosure design and building. I wouldn't have anyone else building the future home of my new IA DP 12D1!- SQ_MGB's 2002 Chevy Reg cab build
Wow, nice craftmanship. I am feeling very noobish right now, lol. That equipment is all before my time, and I have only heard about an isobaric enclosure before, never actually seen one. Keep up the good work man. Hope to see a vid of this when it is done.- Ascendant Audio Chevy Astro
Hands down best build I have ever seen in my life. Gorgeous! Craftmanship is out of this world! Please keep the vids coming.- Death Penalty TL scores
Curious about this also. Tuned in.- bigrank916 geo big 3 upgrade
I thought it was alt to batt +, batt - to chasis, and chasis to engine block?- factory tweeter and speaker question
Amazon.com: Polk Audio DB461P 4-by-6-Inch Coaxial Plate-Style Speakers (Pair, Black): Electronics I would look into something like this if I was in your position. Then you could just leave the stock tweets in if they don't sound bad, or upgrade them also. Maybe even just eliminate them all together. But a plate with round speakers will sound way better than normal 4x6s.- Ebay Enclosures
If you got the money to spend, you won't go wrong with Fisher. A guy that lives by me does alot of his designs and I have personally seen and heard some of his boxes and they are ridiculously loud. I hear alot of good things about Fisher build quality also. If I didn't have a first rate builder localy, I would def buy from him.- Ebay Enclosures
You would be better off having a local stereo shop build your box rather than buying prefab garbage. I know, I bought R/T and Atrend for years thinking I was getting great boxes. 90% are tuned to high, like in the 40 and 50Hz rang, and have inadequate airspace. Shop would probably only charge you like $100 for a single sub enclosure not carpeted. Or get one of these fine companies on the forum to build you one, the shipping just sucks in that sense. Or just start a thread to see if anyone lives in your area that would be willing to help you build a box. Most of the bassheads on here would jump at the chance to help a fellow basshead get loud, lol. Well, goodluck with whatever you decide. First box you build yourself > any prefab!- Finally Got It Figured Out
Yeah, there are gonna be pics of my part of the install for sure. Gonna see if I can get Robin to take some pics of the box being built as well. Should have some good material for a build log. - AQ220d vs. SAZ-2000d
