Higher voltage pre outs means a cleaner and stronger signal which means that your amplifiers input voltage gain will be set lower, which in turn means that your amplifier wont have to work as hard to produce the same sound. kind of means something to me....

i have a jvc kw -avx800 and i really like it.. it was one of the only ones at the time that had like 5 volt pre outs.. most were like 2 volt... my kid has a pioneer in his car and the jvc is so much nicer in how it works and the features... i am not a jvc fan.. but there double din head units i really like... and there eq's are nice compard to my kids pioneer... just my 2 cents

it would be hard for anyone to say which is best for you.. they are both good speakers.. I have some Focals. and have heard good about CTX65's.. buy it depends on what you want them to do.... what amp you have....

how fast is your idle set ? i know on some it will not put out a charge if the alt. is not spinning fast enough.. maybe it has the wrong size pulley on it so it does not spin fast enough at idle

is there anyway to get bigger size hoodies ? i would order one for my kid, but he needs like 4X.... i need to get me one to, but i can fit a X large .. do you have a x large in stock

i went to the zed audio site and read the mannuel on the Leviathan & Kronos... all i have to say is wow ! the Leviathan is amazing and what it can do.. i also read the test mannuels and all they have wrote up... what a good read

i have had the focals in my truck for all summer run off my candence TXA 3004 bridged.. and with my Xcon in there it sounds pretty good.. . that is why i have 4 ga in there allready.. it is ran to my candence ... so i was just going to swap out to the boss amp with the candence.. tell i noticed the kind of end i would need... now i will wait for the Kronos.... i just hope it will sound nice turned down enough so i don't blow anyy of my components....

i just went and bought the Kronos ..... i will find a use for the Boss amp... i am still happy with it for what it cost....

Thanks....... i have had my 4 channel running the focals for 7-8 months... seems to work fine.... i am just wanting a better quality amp to get the best sound i can for the 400.00 i have to spend.... i have never taken a volt meter to my focals to see if they are a true 2 ohm... just going but what they say they are...

so i am wanting to buy a new amp for my Focal KRX2's ...they are 2 ohm... i will post specs below for the speakers... right now i have them ran off a candence TRX 3004 bridged.. they seem to like power.. i bought the Boss audio zed built amp and was going to try it.. but after getting it and seeing how they want the power wire to hook thru the little spade connectrion it kind of turned me off .. going to be hard to find a way to hook my real 4 gauge power wire to it... so anyway.. now i am going to buy another amp... i want something that sounds good.. i was thinking of the Zed audio Kronos.. wanting to spend around $400.00 .. so would this be a good choice ? i have a sundown saz 1500d running my 15 Xcon.. so i just need a amp to run the focals... thanks for any input.... 6-1/2" KRX2 2-way Component System Power Handling: Peak: 400 watts per set / 200 watts each side RMS: 200 watts per set / 100 watts each side K2 Composite sandwich cone woofer TN53K (Tioxid 5) inverted dome tweeter 2 ohms impedance

I bought a 15" Xcon about 1 year ago this month... it still sounds as good as when it was new... and i still love it... it was shipped to me just as they said it would be and they answered all my qustions super fast... i bought the Boss amp they have the sale going on now.. waiting on it to get here, but i am not worried at all about it getting here after dealing with SSA before.. if they say they will do it.. They will ...... they have the best customer service i have seen.. and.. what a bunch super nice guys to deal with.... Thanks SSA !

the guy who started this post is right.. i went and downloaded all the Focal demo disk.. 7 of them.. they all sound super good... i have the Focal 165 KRX2 and a Xcon, boy does these cd's sound good... song 15 on disk 7... double bass like no other, and it sounds so good ... never heard double bass in car audio that sounded like you were there !!!
